Peachtree Hoops: Josh Smith Could Miss Friday's Game With Oklahoma City

Although we still don't know the results of the MRI, it appears that the Hawks are at least preparing to be without Josh Smith in Friday night's game against Oklahoma City. Ken Sugiura updates the situation:

Smith did not practice Thursday and is considered day-to-day. Smith said he can run in a straight line on his sprained MCL, but has pain when cutting. Drew said he plans to not have Smith in the lineup.

Smith was scheduled to have had an MRI on the injured knee last night yet we still haven't gotten word of those results. It doesn't sound like Atlanta is too overly concerned but Smith is still hurting. 

Josh isn't the only one who might miss Friday's game. Kevin Durant is listed as doubtful after suffering a sprained ankle Wednesday. 

We will update this story if and when Smith's MRI results become available.
