  1. Looks like Carmelo Anthony may miss the allstar game with a bruised biceps. If he indeed does it miss it up looks like Josh smith should be the next guy in line considering his play and the position.
  2. If anything it shows how much he means to the hawks. They would be idiots to trade him unless its for a major superstar which wont happen they will not get equal value. He could be the best player they can sign this summer.
  3. Awesome!!! Cant wait to see how they they look tonight hopefully they get a Win as well
  4. Why the hell would there be 3 centers on the roster Noah , chandler , and Lopez hell no east will get destroyed.
  5. Idk now hard is it for smith to stay inside and mid range. He can be great in the paint he missed about 3-4 shots I the paint that were in and out. He should not be shooting 3s I wish he could get that.
  6. This team is a f***ing joke A MOVE MUST BE MADE WE ARE a laughing stock!!!
  7. offer them a first round draft for brooks. Start him at SG and let him develop.
  8. Josh Smith post all-star break is playing the best basketball consistently of his whole career. Hopefully he plays like this for the rest of the season because he's just a beast.
  9. This team will get worse without Smith. He's been the best defensive and exciting player since he's been here. I don't blame Josh for wanting out I remember they had a Big campaign get AL to the all-star but nothing for Smith. I can only imagine if Josh Smith played with a PG like Deron Williams or Paul how could he would really be.
  10. I will be Irrate if Josh Smith is not selected that would be big slap in the face.
  11. I came across this article on Facebook its a pretty good read hopefully he keeps playing this way cause we will def need his good play for the playoff push. http://hawksbasketblog.com/2012/01/13/is-this-the-year-for-smoove/ The early results of the 2012 NBA All-Star Balloting were released by the league earlier today, and Josh Smith was not among the top-10 forwards in votes received. It is the latest example of how fan voting isn’t always accurate. Don’t give up hope yet that this may finally be the year that Josh breaks through to add “All-Star” to his impressive resume. The fan vote only determines the starters, while two or (most likely) three reserve forwards will be determined by the Eastern Conference head coaches. LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony seem to be locks for the fan vote based on the early results and historic precedence, so it is really a handful of forwards competing for the collective nod from the coaches. One day after Smith dropped 30 and 13 on the Bobcats, I felt it was a good time to make the argument for Josh to make the trip to Orlando in late February. Smoove is the ONLY player in the Eastern Conference that ranks in the top-10 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks among forwards. That’s right, not even LeBron or ‘Melo can make that claim. James is actually the only other player to rank in the top-10 in four out of the five categories. Josh’s overall numbers are definitely enough to get the attention of many Eastern Conference coaches, but they have been even more impressive recently. After a relatively slow start (10.2 ppg and 7.2 rpg in December), Smoove has taken his game to a whole new level. Over the last eight games he is averaging 20.1 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.9 spg and 1.8 bpg. On paper, Smith looks like he should get some serious consideration to make this year’s team… but history has proven that there are factors other than what is found on the stat sheet that determine how coaches vote for all-star reserves. It is safe to say that players that have made the All-Star team before have a decided edge over those who haven’t. This puts guys like Josh and Chicago’s Luol Deng at a disadvantage against players like Garnett, Pierce, Bosh and Stoudemire. Coaches also tend to vote for guys that are leading the better teams in the conference. If the Hawks continue to play well and have one of the four or five best records in the East when the coaches cast their votes, then that should help Smoove’s chances. There are plenty of games between in the condensed schedule between now and when the coaches votes are due, but if this recent stretch is any indication of the type of play we can expect from Smith all season long, then J-Smoove will be a hard name to leave off the ballot.
  12. That doesn't sound like a bad idea maybe light a spark under Marvin. I still think Tmac can play he is a smart player reminds me of a Mcdyess when he dealt with those injurys and he has a solid nba career playing for the pistons/spurs. I think he has alot to bring to this group love the move!
  13. Well you can pretty much kiss Crawford good bye. I like the move cheap solid move Jamal crawford did win some games for us but his game was just too selfish.
  14. Teague clearly wasn't ready to be a starting PG in the NBA hopefully he continues to get minutes to learn more but we really need to win games in this tough stretch. Esp. with Josh Smith out for tonight and possibly longer. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/154697/kirk-hinrich-claims-starting-job-from-teague
  15. This deal will help us more running the break and on defense. Hinrich is one pesky annoying defender.
  16. Honestly guys Hilton Armstrong is alot better then zaza and collins combined so its an upgade we could start him and move al Horford to PF.
  17. Berger said the cavs are involved also. Are we getting sessions and hinrich that would def help us.
  18. If its jamal crawford wat a terrible trade.
  19. If we lose this game tonight esp a blowout open the flood gates. Sund will have no choice but to do something. So in this case I hope we lose by 50 tonight.
  20. Ya but we really need to trade him now not next year. If we make no moves we will be out 2nd round maybe the first round the way teams are improving we have a huge problem at PG. Bibby is not a starter in the NBA right now and he is all we got at PG. Teague is not even close to ready to being a PG in the nba. IF we can bring bibby the off bench as 3 point guy or back up pg we would be alot better in the long run. I think in order for us to get any good player back Crawford has to go and if Sund is not going to sign him he better be looking to deal him or else it would be a disaster we lose him for nothing come summer.
  21. If the last 2 games doesnt tell you we need a shake up to our team I dont know what does. This team looks lost out there and we need a true PG to lead this time.
  22. So this guy we drafted 2nd overall Over Paul & Williams I remeber screaming draft night take Paul take Paul turns out to be a bust. We resign him to a contact (god only knows why??) who many people though here was a good deal. The Hawks have tryed pretty hard to deal him and no wants him because of his terrible contract. Looks we are stuck with this bust unless we get a big contact back Williams is going no where. He is high overpaid for the production he gives you but in all honestly the Marvin Williams and Hawks love affair has to come to an end. This guy will never be the player he was suppose to be the Hawks need to cut there ties and move on.
  23. The bottom line is a move needs to be made this team is not that good at all right now as is to get out of the 2nd round. If you think that you are a deliousnal fan.
  24. you can blame Larry drew and his terrible play calling leaving the bench bums way to long in the 4th quarter while they were coming back. Also Joe Johnson and his 4 for 15 shooting this guy has been awful ever since making the allstar team looks like he was just playing well to make the team. Also everyone and there mother knew joe would take that last shot why give it to guy who is OFF! it makes no sense so predictable be creative. Blowing a 22 point lead to these bums makes you think this team has bigger problems then people think.
