  1. I gotta agree with BusBoy on this one. Shelden was in the ROTY talks in the first month or so of the year (so was JJ, believe it or not) and then that shoulder injury killed Shelden for the middle 60 percent of the year. Shelden will be fine
  2. Lewis won't be on SEA next year. Marvin is a hometown player. Beats me.
  3. Sorry...I meant the Garnett trade
  4. These trades are ghastly, especially the Pau Gasol trade. With the amount we're giving up in that trade, you'd think we were trading for the Spurs starting lineup
  5. It's not even the pitching. We can't hit worth a d@mn. 13 runs in 6 games? Make that 7 runs in 14 games. Lord help us.
  6. WTF? In his blog from 2 weeks ago, he clearly wrote: I’d pan them individually if there weren’t so many to mention. But let me just say first and foremost that any team willing to trade the No. 3 and or No. 11 pick for an established star in the current NBA is an absolute nut. And now this? Wow. These trades are all ridiculous. To trade BOTH PICKS plus all those other players is ludicrous.
  7. WTF? How could Portland possibly get Yi too? Hopefully we just take Yi at 3 and this whole Yi talk is over.
  8. Haha I'll be in New York City the day of the draft, so I'll try to get some pictures if I camp out for a bit.
  9. AtlantaCham, we CANNOT keep T.Lue. He hogs the ball on offense (we will be much better offensively next year) plus he's in his contract year. It makes NO SENSE at all to keep him unless we dump him at the trade deadline. However, I'd love to package him with any of the wings that Bumpy mentioned for a big guy. No, we don't need a Garnett although I'd love one. We just need a solid center with veteran experience
  10. Good post. We'd have to probably trade Chillz (we won't be able to resign him) and T. Lue (won't resign him either. Both will be FA's) for a player in the 8 million dollar range. Unless we add a couple more players to go after a Pau Gasol, I see us making a run at a Joel Pryzbilla or Erick Dampier-type player. I am all for getting Yi and any of the three major PG's. I'd give anything to see BK do this!
  11. LOL, well Yi doesn't come from a rough area. So is this kid 22 or 19?
  12. I was intrigued by him for a while, but I agree on him now. He's 6"2 and 175 pounds. He has a few inches on me, and I'm close to that weight. He doesn't fit BK's "big PG" formula, nor does Speedy lol. I want to maximize on these picks or get GREAT talent in exchange for the picks
  13. LOL, if we trade down to #5 and get some scrub player and end up missing out on Horford/Yi, I will be EXTREMELY UPSET
  14. Let's say that Seattle is enamored with Yi and takes him. Do you all think Durant would help this team instantly get better? Would we trade Marvin+/Chillz?
  15. YES! I wanted to hear this interview so badly, but woke up at 9:30, so I missed it. I'm glad Joe had that to say about Yi. Yi could help this team in so many ways.
  16. "Wilkens said the club would try to re-sign forward Rashard Lewis, who will be an unrestricted free agent July 1." ^From Hoopshype NBA Rumors. It makes sense for them to take Yi and then resign Rashard.
  17. This is pretty sad. The little man has that look in his eyes like he wants to get the job done, he runs fast as ever, and he is helping the Spurs out as a backup. As I recall, he had a triple double in his last game as a Hawk, but was not resigned. Instead, we have Speedy Claxton, who cares more about his paycheck than he does about playing, Tyronn Lue who is more concerned about how long he dribbles the ball and shooting than helping his teammates out, and Anthony Johnson who is a solid career backup point guard. Hopefully our fortunes change in a few weeks...
  18. Yo who is D3? D. Wade? Damon Stoudamire?
  19. LOL my bad homie, I've just seen so much hype about Yi, that we all basically are just saying the same thing ha. GO HAWKS!!! PLAYOFFS BABY
  20. Wow, I've watched some of these Yi videos a million times. This kid CAN block shots. Imagine 3 quick players in the line in Yi, Smoove, and Marvin (or Gasol or a big man we pick up?), swiping at the ball, causing havoc for a Shaq who's trying to post up. Then fantasize us running the court with JJ, Smoove, Yi, Marvin, and Acie Law/Crittenton. We would sell out games, WIN games, and win respect back of those morons like Chad Ford who constantly bash us. I say we take Yi, Law, and then trade Chillz (as much as I love him) with some others for a legit veteran big.
  21. Very good post. I'd love to see our young guys stay together. We're slowly getting there.
  22. These are the EXACT two players I want! I am only an 18 year old, about to go into college, but I would come up all the way from Athens just to see these guys play in person. OH MY GOODNESS BK, DO THIS PLEASE. But isn't it true that BK is not interested / has no worked out Law?
  23. Nice post. I was having some similar thoughts the other day that assuming we get a big and a PG from the draft, we can easily tweak our roster to meet our opponents' needs. I am very excited for this coming season, and we NEED to make the playoffs. No excuses anymore.
  24. LOL how about we draft your boyfriend Brandan Wright who probably benches 135
