  1. At Cumberland Mall in the 80's I saw a huge shadow behind me and turned around to see Dominique. He laughed at my facial expression as my jaw dropped. He was really cool and signed and autograph for me. I still can't believe he was not mobbed as he was totally alone. I also met Konack and his kids on Roswell Rd. Sandy Springs in the mid 90's.
  2. I think this is pretty spot on: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13140430/uni-watch-grading-atlanta-hawks-new-uniforms
  3. I view the front office as an extension of the owners. You can have the best GM in the world but without money and support from the owners it would be very difficult to succeed.
  4. To win championships in the NBA you need great players plus a good owner/s. The second part of that equation is not in place for the Hawks. The only ability a fan has to fix that problem is to take their funding away to force a change. Look what happened when the Falcons were finally purchased by a good owner. The same could happen for the Hawks but instead we will see the ASG dismantle this team to stay under the luxury tax. I've been a Hawks fan for over 25 years and that won't change. What will change is that I won't keep giving money to the junkie in hopes that they buy food instead of drugs.
  5. I will not support the ASG in any fashion. I will still remain a Hawks fan but I won't give my money to a group that is certain to turn its focus on running the Hawks into the ground now. The NHL should be ashamed of themselves for not stepping in to ensure a local buyer could purchase the Thrashers but the multimillion dollar franchise fee that the league gets probably clouds their vision. Lets hope the same fate is not in store for the Hawks as Seattle is an example of what happens with bad ownership.
  6. I fired off an email to the ATL Spirit and let them know I will not attended any event at Phillips until they are gone. If fans don't take a stand against this kind of mismanagement we will all be rooting for the Vancouver Hawks soon.
  7. Practice? Are we talking about practice?
  8. Hawks trade Dominique Wilkins to Clippers March 21, 1994 http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_n20_v85/ai_15235600/
  9. 1978-79 Seattle SuperSonics 1977-78 Washington Bullets It's more difficult to build a team of all-star to near all-star players like Detroit has done. It takes a lot of patience and player development. Free agency and the salary cap have limited the ability to keep a team like that together. It's much easier to win the lottery on a player like Tim Duncan and build around him.
  10. Who was the superstar on Detroit when the won their last title?
