  1. Thanks for the confirmation! It really does sound too good to be true but that could be awesome news for the Hawks!!!
  2. I am sorry if this has been answered already (Probably, several times!) but am I reading this right? The Hawks can swap their 2014 AND/OR 2015 1st round picks (And, they are NOT lottery protected?!) with the Nets if they (The Hawks) choose to? That seems way too good to be true but I hope it is! The Nets 1st Rounders for the next couple of seasons could be really valuable!
  3. Happy Birthday! I hope the Hawks give you a belated Birthday present (A great 2013/14 NBA Season!)!
  4. Just curious if the Hawks are basically (Major Moves) done for the offseason. I have no idea where they stand with their salary cap situation. I might be a little too optimistic but I think they had a pretty good offseason even if they didn't get Dwight Howard (But, that would have been a great signing!).
  5. Just curious (and, I really have no idea!) on how many Hawks draft picks that were left overseas actually ever came back to Atlanta and played for the Hawks? I know the Hawks have new leadership with Ferry so hopefully we will see Bebe and Muscala both playing for the Hawks one day (Hopefully, soon!)!
  6. I guess it is probably the right decision but I have to admit that I am really disappointed and I certainly hope that he has better results than most of the other Draft picks the Hawks have left overseas!
  7. I hope you are right! Now, that any hope of Oden coming to the Hawks is over I would also like to see Nogueira on the Hawks roster this season (actually, due to Oden's health concerns I honestly think I would rather have Nogueira anyway). I would think the best way for Nogueira to get ready for the NBA is to actually play against NBA competition (while working with trainers to help him gain weight and get stronger). I also think Nogueira's athleticism could be a huge asset to the Hawks both offensively and defensively.
  8. As much as I wanted to see the Hawks sign Oden I do think it is going to be an huge gamble (Can he stay healthy?) for any team that signs him unless he signs a Buyer Friendly Contract to get the opportunity to play with an established winner/contender like the Heat or Spurs. In all honesty I will not be very disappointed if Oden does not sign with the Hawks (And, I seriously doubt they ever had much of a chance anyway).
  9. I know it is a gamble but when will the Hawks have another chance at a possible quality Center (And, I do realize he is a big risk but he could prove to pay huge rewards IF he can stay healthy!)? I would like to see the Hawks sign him but I am guessing e chooses another team (probably, the Heat).
  10. Thanks for the information! I am not very optimistic about the Hawks signing him but at least they are apparently still being considered.
  11. I thought I read on this board (probably, in this topic) that Oden is supposed to work out for the Hawks tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if that is true and if so if that workout is still scheduled? I didn't know if the Hawks recent signings of Milsap, Brand and Pero Antić had changed their minds about pursuing Oden (I hope not).
  12. I wouldn't trade Dennis Schröder straight up for Asik. I think Schröder is going to be a special player.
  13. Am I being overly optimistic thinking Nogueira will make the Hawks roster next season? While I will readily admit that I don't know much about him (except for what I have read) he does seem to have great potential & athleticism that I would think could really help the Hawks. I would love to see him evenutally take over the Hawks starting Center position and move Al Horford to the Forward position. I have read where some people compare him to Joakim Noah and I am guessing it is really early to be comparing him to Noah but if he can become that type player I think he could be a huge asset to the Hawks! I know he needs to get stronger but hopefully he can work on that while he is on the Hawks roster.
  14. Sounds like the Hawks have several promising young players on their Summer League Team.
  15. "Poor" is probably a POOR choice of words to describe Jeff Teague's situation!
  16. Just curious if the Hawks have any interest in Greg Oden. It seems like I have seen rumors on several other teams showing Interest in Oden but not much about the Hawks.
  17. I have to admit that I don't understand if they made their decision (which, I think was the correct one) why wait two days to make it public? Is there any chance that the Hawks at least informed Teague of their decision when they made it?
  18. I did get the point! Very good information! Thanks!
  19. Now that Jeff Teague has been re-signed (and, I do think that was a good move) who (Dalembert, Oden, etc) do you think the Hawks will target as their next FA signing? And, do they have any cap space left after the Teague signing to even go after any quality FA's?
  20. Does anyone know if the Hawks are showing any interest in pursuing Samuel Dalembert, Greg Oden or Nikola Pekovic? I am guessing that Pekovic will re-sign with the Timberwolves and the Mavericks will get 1st choice between Dalembert and Oden. Do you think the Hawks will try to sign Dalembert or Oden? Personally, my personal preference on these three players would be Pekovic (which, I will be shocked if he doesn't re-sign with the Timberwolves), Dalembert (he is several years older than Oden but has less health concerns) and then Oden (if he could stay healthy he could be a real steal!). I am thinking the Hawks could try to sign Dalembert (but, he is probably going to the Mavericks) and have him play a few years until Nogueira is ready. BUT, if I were a betting person I would bet the Hawks don't end up with any of these players.
  21. Thanks for the information! That is too bad about both his contract with Red Star and his mobility! I sure did like his SIZE!
  22. Well, that doesn't sound too encouraging!
