  1. Which team in your opinion is the favorite to get Smith? It seems like this changes by the hour (And now, Maybe by the minute!)! I guess if I had to guess by what I have been reading I would guess the Rockets with the Bucks being a close 2nd. But, it still won't surprise me if Smith ends up staying with the Hawks until the end of the season.
  2. Looks like a Fair Deal! Done!
  3. Stupid question! Does anyone know if there have been any official offers made for Josh Smith and if so can you tell us by which teams and what they offered?
  4. Just curious - If you were Danny Ferry what would be the minimum offers you would accept from the Bucks, Nets, Wizards, Celtics, etc for Josh Smith before you decided to just keep Smith for the rest of the season?
  5. Just curious if the Hawks are working on any trade possibilities or are they planning on keeping Smith?
  6. If you were Ferry what/who would you offer the Lakers for Howard?
  7. IF, the Hawks do trade Josh Smith to the Bucks is there any information on who/what else would be included in the deal? I am assuming (hoping!) this would not be a one on one deal!)? I would like to think that the Hawks would get another player and the Bucks 2013 1st round draft pick! Am I dreaming???
  8. If, Ferry does not get the value he is looking for do you think he will just go ahead and accept the best deal even if it is less than he expected/wanted or will he keep Smith and just be happy with the cap space he will have when Smith becomes a Free Agent?
  9. Now I reading that the Suns and the Mavericks are the favorites to get Smith in a trade. Does anyone have more information on these rumors? I also read somewhere that someone from Fox News Ohio guaranteed that Smith will be traded by the Deadline! Well, only a few days left before all (well, most!) the mystery comes to an end!
  10. I totally agree! With supposedly so many teams having interest I am thinking at least one of those teams will make a decent ( hopefully, Good!) offer to the Hawks!
  11. Seems like there are a lot of interested teams (I was not aware of the Wizards interest!) so hopefully at least one of those teams will make the Hawks a reasonable offer.
  12. With four days left does anyone have any reliable information or any good rumors on IF Smith will be traded by the the Trade Deadline? I have a lot of mixed opinions on this subject! Personally, I don't think the Hawks will get a player of equal value if they trade him but if they can get a quality player(s) and some draft picks I guess I would rather see him traded than to see him leave in FA and the Hawks get nothing in return (although, I guess getting that added cap space could help the Hawks get a good FA or two). The next few days should be interesting!
  13. My head is spinning with reading all the different rumors (Nets, Rockets, Mavericks, Celtics, etc) about Josh Smith as the trade deadline gets closer. At this point I am beginning to think the Hawks will keep Smith and try to negotiate a deal with him and if they can't agree Ferry & the Hawks will let him walk and use his cap space to hopefully sign quality free agents during the offseason. I have to admit that I was (still am!) hoping that some team would offer the Hawks a deal (Quality Young Players & Draft Picks) too good to pass up but I think I was dreaming!
  14. WOW - I guess I was wrong! I really thought with the great games Smith has had recently that teams would be making all kind of offers to get an opportunity to get him on their team but it seems like I am reading a lot more about teams not being intrerested in pursuing him. Is this true or are these just Smokescreens & Posturing by other teams to try to get Ferry & the Hawks to lower their price and be willing to accept less? Now, I really beginning to think Smith will remain a Hawk at least until the end of the season!. Am I wrong?
  15. After these last two games Josh Smith has played I can only imagine the interest in him will increase and his trade value is going up!
  16. Which team do you think will offer the Hawks the best deal?
  17. IF, all these teams (Nets, Spurs, Mavericks, Suns, etc) are really interested in trading for Josh then could there actually be a bidding war for him? That would be great but I can't ever figure out what are real facts and what are just wild rumors!
  18. I am guessing Ferry is asking a lot for Smith and if he gets it a trade will take place but if he doesn't get his aking price he will be more than happy to keep him. It will be interesting to see just how much teams will be willing to offer for Smith! I am also guessing after the great game that Smith had last night that Ferry's asking price is going up!
  19. If Josh Smith keeps playing the next few games like he played tonight he will be doing the Hawks a big favor! He had an outstanding game tonight with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. This game might have raised his trade value/price! But, if he keeps playing like this the Hawks might have too think really hard about trading him at all.
  20. Could this be the year the Hawks actually trade Josh Smith? Probably my imagination but there seems to be a lot more rumors (Nets, Suns, Mavericks, Lakers, etc) than in the past so could a deal trading Smith really be getting ready to take place? Up to now, I really didn't think so but the more I read the more I think it is really going to happen (my guess is the deal will be with the Nets with possibly a third team getting involved). And, I really do like Josh Smith and there is no doubt he is very talented and I hope if he is traded that he goes to a team AND coach that can take advantage of his talents!
  21. If the Hawks don't get the offer they want do you think they will accept something less or will they try real hard to work out a deal with Smith or do they let him walk and use his cap space to sign a Free Agent(s)?
  22. That would be the best case scenario. I hope it happens!
  23. I thought I read somewhere that the Nets are interested in trading for Smith. IF, this is true I sure would like to see any trade proposals include Reggie Evans. Evans is a very physical/tough player and while he might not score a lot of points he will always get his team a ton of rebounds and I think he would be a great fit/addition to the Hawks. I have been hoping for years that the Hawks would find a way to add Evans to their team!
  24. Just curious if the Hawks are asking too much for Smith OR is he not in demand as much as the Hawks thought he would be OR are the Hawks really reluctant to trade him OR are there really some teams interested and the trade talks are being kept quiet until a deal has been made? I guess some of these questions might be answered in the next couple of weeks. I think Smith is a great athlete and probably can be a great basketball player with a change of scenery! I have been a big fan of Smith ever since he became a Hawk but I do think it will be best for both Smith and the Hawks if he changes teams.
