  1. and we shall rise tonight! Something tells me that Woody will get things back on track.
  2. I would rather have Josh playing good defense. I'm sure he'll be the old Josh once he's back 100% healthy.
  3. funny how we have no problem blaming everything on Woody. But I do agree that the blame game is no fun. I'm just really sick of seeing the easy 'Fire Woody' threads.
  4. Woody is our Doc Rivers. Boston fans were always calling for man's head then what happend when he got talent and heart to work with? Give Woody a less-sissyfied PG and a center that's not afaid of contact and watch how good of a coach he'll become. And yes Dolf I 100% with your assesment on the Hawks offense. But what else do you expect when the PG only want to pop 3s to boost his pay scale next year.
  5. Too easy to blame everything on Woody. No 'All of the Above' option to stir up more conversation on what's wrong.
  6. Mike Bibby is the main raeson this team is struggling. It's all about mindset. His horrible defense and and pretty-boy shot selection is a cancer.
  7. I put most of this on JJ. He's is supposed to the leader here but he seems to want to fit in with the other guys. You think Bron or Kobe would allow this? Joe has to give Bibby a kick the arse for putting up those gay 3 pointers and not taking the ball to the defense. Bibby has these guys wanting to be the old school Suns or Kings instead of the hard-nose team Woody wants. So all you guys that kiss Bibby’s butt for making shots when things are going well should now step up and blast him for undermining Woody’s philosophy.
  8. Woody could be a HOF coach if given a starting 5 with an oz. of heart!
  9. Woody has to let these guys know he not about the bs.
  10. I like Smoove but he sure does do some bone head stuff every now and then.
  11. Acie and Solo have played well when given the minutes but I think Woody may be a big practice guy (a Larry Brown type). I f Woody sees a guy hustling during practice then he's probably more willing to play him. But I don't know if this applies to Mario West. From what I've heard Mario always going hard at practice. Then again Mario just may not be NBA material.
  12. We’ve all been killing Woody for a while now about this. But here's another way to digest it. There was a point last year when Zaza was playing like crap and Woody didn’t hesitate to sit him. I think he and Z even exchange words over this. This year Z is getting tons of PT. Has his offensive game improved that much? No. It’s because he’s giving more effort on the floor. Z’s defense and rebounding is much better these days. And if he’s giving more effort on game day then he’s probably doing the same during practice. This may explain why your favorite bench guy isn’t getting much PT. We see a DNP and think “Why is this guy not getting minutes?” Do we really know that it’s not all on the player? I would love to see more of Acie, Morris, and Solo but I'm starting to think that these guys may not be giving Woody much reason to do so.
  13. And I'm not talking about stats seeing that his scoring is actually slightly up from last year (from 10 ppg to 11 ppg) but his presence on the floor. We’re almost ¼ through and I can only recall Al having 1 good game. The rest have been okay.
  14. Looks as if the hawks are getting worse. Marvin, Joe and Josh were pretty good ft shooters once.
  15. Just popped in my inbox  Philips Arena – February 14th - 22nd, 2009 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® proudly presents Over The Top, an all-new live entertainment extravaganza featuring the ultimate tug of war between Ringmaster Chuck Wagner and clown eccentric Tom Dougherty over a magical top hat that controls the circus. When the Ringmaster dons the hat he conjures stupendous spectacles for his circus like the stunt riding Royal Cossack Cavalry while the clown uses the hat to summon silly and whimsical acts for his circus such as a cavalry of goats riding on ponies in a Barnyard Bonanza. The show culminates in an amazing display of gigantic glowing rainforest flowers surrounding Chinese acrobats swinging on vines and propelling through the air. Over the Top is two circuses in one providing excitement for the whole family. Click here to print order form http://www.groupticketsplus.com/atlanta/138-panasonic.pdf
  16. We all have to move on. Listen to the piece Childress did on 790 last year. He talked about how he thought he was more than a bench player. He also made several references to having more leverage as a player. Did he sound like a guy that was looking forward to being a Hawk? Josh got his wish so to suggest that his leaving was the result of poor management is not fair to the Hawks. He’s happy and Hawks are winning so enough said.
  17. I sense a little tension between you two.
  18. NJ Nets. I know it’s way too early to be talking playoffs but.... It just seems that the Nets have the Hawks number. Vince Carter has always been a Hawks-Killer. Now add in Harris and this team is a very bad matchup for the Hawks. Say the Hawks make the playoffs as a 4 seed or better. There would be good chance the Nets would be the 1st or 2nd round opponent. Call me crazy but I think the Hawks would have a slightly better chance playing opposite the Celtics or Magic early.
  19. Nique should stop prefacing statements with "like I said"
  20. i would love to host one of those chat thingies
  21. you will not find many flip supporters around here.
  22. yeah...I was looking at the 06-07 season. Thought that was little bad.
