  1. "TL;DR!" I guess not! Looks like you're in the right place, Jimmy Buckets! ~lw3
  2. Someone's not feeling very Bullish this morning... ~lw3
  3. Yeah not in a Squawk draft, this other one's on ESPN Fantasy. ~lw3
  4. At least Westbrook and Company can't drop all the way out of the playoffs. But still, if they wound up with an 8-seed, Kanter won't hear the end of it. ~lw3
  5. Y'all hear me fuss about this every year, at least since back when the NBA world groveled everytime Joe would go. I think the early 1980s (?) were the last times the NBA had minimum rosters down at 12. They had been at 13 for a long time, and are about to go up to 14 with the new CBA. So, why are there only 12 named All-Stars (not counting injury replacements) every season? It's 2016! The league's that cash-strapped that they can't possibly include an 8th reserve? I think the league gets its jollies off of seeing the fan reactions when Would-Be-All-Star #13 in each conference gets "snubbed" annually. The snooty people of Philadelphia need to take up THIS issue with the Commish, rather than garble about who shouldn't have gotten in ahead of their sacred cow du jour. ~lw3
  6. Not just because I've got him on a fantasy team, but I do hope the kid will be alright. I believe he may have suffered the curse of an embittered Denver Post columnist. (BTW, has anybody around Denver seen Erick Green lately?) ~lw3
  7. I'm sure they're very busy, but I wonder when the good people of Ruston are going to honor one of their greatest Dunkin' Dogs with a jersey retirement. After all, they do get a free "Loueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezyanna TECH!" promo about 50 days out of the year. Maybe they're just holding out for his 5th All-Star appearance before they honor Paul (and P.J. Brown). (FWIW: LaTech retired The Mailman's number in 1989, after his 5th NBA season and 2nd All-Star appearance. Karl Malone, Jackie Moreland, and Leon Barmore are LaTech's sole men's hoops jersey retirees. Millsap and Brown are in the school's Athletic Hall of Fame, Millsap inducted in 2011.) ~lw3
  8. As far as THIS thing that's going on in Chicago? No, not a bad person at all! Even Bulls fans are reveling in it! ~lw3
  9. Nobody saw this coming...[/greenfont] http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/rajon-rondo-blasts-bulls-teammates-butler-and-wade-on-twitter/ ~lw3

  17. I was too busy to note Mo got waived again (Denver) the other day, but maybe this time around it's for keeps and he can retire in peace? ~lw3
  18. "Wait, I ain't even do nothin'!" "EXACTLY!" ~lw3
  19. Longform from Sports Illustrated on Bazemore's offensive adjustments this season. ~lw3
  20. So, tonight's the night, it appears. (or, today's the day... barely past noon and reserves are already getting leaked out... sigh) I'm happy for Sap either way. He either gets to play back home in Louisiana again, or he gets some beneficial time to rest and go back home to Louisiana if he wants to. Tonight's Charles-and-pony show will go one of two ways. ((Paul Millsap gets a nod)) CHUCK: I dunno, the East needs a Real Center on the team. KENNY: He has a career-low FG%, but okay. The Hawks are doing alright, I guess. CHUCK: I dunno, the East needs a Real Center on the team. SHAQ: Embiid deserved a spot. Maybe Drummond, or Whiteside, too. CHUCK: I dunno, the East needs a Real Center on the team. ERNIE: Let's go to a break. ((Paul George gets the nod)) KENNY: Good for Paul George! He has really carried that team to a .500 record and a 7th seed. CHUCK: And he had to do it without George Hill! ERNIE: Well, What About Atlanta? KENNY: Great show. I'm glad Earn won the Golden Globe. ERNIE: No, I mean, the Hawks! 4th in the East and no All-Stars? CHUCK: Well they not gonna make the playoffs, anyway. They lost Al Hofferd and you need a Real Center to compete. SHAQ: ((gnaws on donut)) ~lw3
