  1. I feel that Marvin has been much better lately. He seems to be blocking more shots and playing better defense. He's also been making it to the line more often.... which is a good sign.
  2. Were second in offensive efficiency. That is not equal to having the second best offense overall.
  3. HOLY CRAP! I freaked out so much when Craw made that shot, that I scared my kid and made him cry. lol He finally realized I was just happy :)
  4. This post really made me laugh. For one, we do not have an identity, but continue to look at the stat sheets and assume because were a 'top ten' team in assist, we must run a 'tight' offense. Please.....This team has NO identity on offense, I guess you could argue we have a transition game, but that is spotty at best. So PLEASE save your mediocre simplistic thoughts about our offense. 48 min stats DO matter. Trying to compare Teague to Ridnour and Telfair is laughable....Teague plays great defense, and if you don't see that he would be one of the top in steals at PG if he got adequate playing time you're obviously just not watching the same game I am. As far as you saying the ball would not move through him but rather through JJ....... I understand your sentiment, but were not a great half-court team, maybe if we had a point guard that could facilitate rather than sit on the three point line, we could have better sets. If you're happy with mediocrity, I don't know what to tell you. I agree that Teague has been terrible from three, but what do you expect from a guy that gets 2-3 minutes a game and a lot of DNP's in the box score? As far as getting to the line, you're dead wrong about that one. He's shot over 25 FT's in limited playing time while knocking them down at an 87% clip. What exactly do you expect?!?! Earl Boykins in not the only PG he's played well against pleaseeee......he kept one of the quickest and most athletic guard (Rondo) in front of him when givin' the opportunity. You act as though Teague is 5'11" NEWSFLASH: He's 6'2"!!! Taller than Bibby, haha. And finally, this quote is what made me realize you are either high, delusional, or downright crazy...'Woody is doing a great job with Teague' Anyone who has watched our games and came to that conclusion CANNOT be serious! If you really think he's done a good job with Teague, you need to get your eyes checked! You must think Woody is a good x's and o's coach as well, lol. I understand the argument against Teague starting, but to argue that he is getting plenty of playing time is just dumb and I cannot continue to entertain peoples delusional thoughts. Teague should AT LEAST be getting 13-15 minutes a game, otherwise will have another Acie on our hands in no time.
  5. Sure he was the fifth PG taken, but many were saying he was a huge steal where we got him. Besides, you act as though draft order is equal to their success. Where you are drafted means nothing. For crying out loud, Marvin was taken before Chris Paul...Greg Oden before Kevin Durant. Drafts are usually a crap shoot. Teague is 3rd in the NBA in steals per 48, 11th in the league in assist per 48. He can penetrate the ball and make passes in the lane that breakdown defenses, Bibby cannot. That is going to be critical, especially for a team that lacks an identity and ball movement. Say all you want to about Bibby, but he is slow and gets manhandled by most PG's. As far as Speedy goes, I've never seen him dunk a basketball with the authority that Teague can. That to me is a REALLY bad comparison. Our backup 'point guard' who plays 30 minutes a game **cough** Crawford **Cough** is avg 2.6 assist a game. That's abysmal! Teague gets that in 7 minutes on the floor. That fact of the matter is he is not given a chance! We have enough good players on this team that can make 'the shot' Teague should be getting more minutes cause it will only make us better come playoff time I really hate when people give up on a player when they haven't even got a chance. Sad.
  6. Problem is, he's not getting those minutes to develop. Someone needs to knock some sense into Woody and tell him not to **** this one up!
  7. No problem man, I just was like 'WOH....did he just really call me Steve Belkin?' lol
  8. Thanks for comparing me to Steve Belkin.....classy.
  9. Bibby has been very open thus far to Teague getting minutes. After all, he's the one that calls Teague back in the gym to help him work on his shot. Bibby has also expressed wanting to be a coach someday which is indicative of him wanting to help develop young players. Bibby knows he is not the same man that was a force with Sac and I think he is okay with that. Craw would be more willing to pass to Bibby because he is a veteran and it would help keep Craw in check. When he's on the floor with Teague, Craw has no feeling of accountability because he just a 'rookie.' Teague's jumper will develop when he starts to get consistent minutes. It will not develop in practice and while he's riding the bench. Besides, Teague's ability to penetrate with the ball negates the necessity of a jumper. He breaks down defenses, something Bibby cannot do.
  10. The problem with that is when Teague is in the game with Crawford, Jamal hogs the ball and usually brings the ball up. Plus Teague's defense along with the rest of the first unit is above average and really could cause a lot of turnovers. Besides, who says Bibby needs to start to make treys? That's a myth, if he still got 20 minutes a game, he would have no difficulties with his shot.
  11. I guarantee that we would be a better team if this happened. Sometimes I wonder what Woody is thinking. The second unit was obviously playing better tonight than the first unit and yet in the second half he went right back to his old ways. Bibby was absolutely terrible tonight in 26 minutes while Teague was playing great defense while initiating the offense. I know we won but is it too much to expect more when there is clearly a flaw? Bibby could be a great spark off the bench and could still help us a great deal. Then Teague could get the minutes he needs so he has the experience come playoff time. This needs to happen now, but it won't and it's sad.
  12. Haha @ the Celtics. However, you know come playoff time the color commentators will mention how they were missing KG in 2 games. If we could only be as lucky to have Tommy Heinsohn call all our games. LOL
  13. Worst announcer in all of sports. That is all.
  14. Because he wasn't even good enough to crack our starting five when he was a hawk?
  15. Aren't you the same dude that said we should 'tank' the season? But anyways, WAY TO GO HAWKS!!!
  16. Sorry Mule, usually really like your post but this is extremely premature.
  17. Contact league office This is what I wrote: I subscribe annually to the NBA League Pass, as well as attend games in person. I spend large quantities of money on the NBA every year, whether it be through merchandise or viewing. Which leads to my complaint..... The officiating for the Hawks vs Cavs game was absolutely horrendous! The shot clock malfunction with a little more than a minute left and was absolutely ridiculous! In what was a HUGE possession, the refs did nothing to rectify the situation. This is unacceptable to fans such as my self who pay top dollar to let the NBA thrive in a weak economy. I URGE you to take notice and take the necessary action that is required to rectify such a horrible display of officiating by Ken Mauer, Courtney Kirkland and Ed Malloy! If this matter is not addressed, I WILL be contacting local and national media regarding the fact that YOU employ a felon as an official. In 2000, Ken Mauer was convicted of a felony, three counts of tax evasion, and one count of obstruction of justice. After all the NBA has gone through with Tim Donaghy, why are you guys employing felons? Is your business model that corrupt? Again, If this goes unnoticed I, and others will make sure this gets heard. Beware of the power of the people, it will prevail. I expect a response as a paying fan, promptly. Good day.
  18. Just leave already. The refs handed the 'golden child' the game tonight. No one cares to hear your opinion. Troll
  19. Once again the 'antifan' is wrong. dumb
  20. haha The whole reason we rolled over and died against the Cavs was due to Marvin and Horford being injured. Dumb
  21. Um So did the Celtics.... haha dumb
  22. Wow, terrible showing by Smoove tonight. How many 18 footers was he gonna take.
