I am SOOOO happy! This move is huge! We needed this depth so bad. Now maybe Woodson can go a little easier on minutes with this added flexibility. This makes us a real threat to the "big three" in the East. I can't wait to get this season started already!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Get it done! I really believe Johnsons decline last year was due to Woody's ridiculous amount of minutes that he expects joe to play. Hopefully Crawford will get more minutes this year so Joe can be fresh for the playoffs when we will really need him.

Roy is better than JJ, so I think he won't get as much.

Smith deserved it. Not to take anything away from Sparano, but what happened to the Falcons last year was unbelievable. They trade Schaub before they realize Vick will be indicted. Vick gets indicted on Federal charges Bobby Petrino quits 13 games into the season to go coach Arkansas. Leaves a not on players locker say "Dear Falcon player" They cut Crumpler, Dunn, Coleman, trade Hall. Arthur Blank tries to get Parcels to no avail. Cowher turns them down. So in other words, the Falcons had a horrible season with unthinkable things that happened. It's one thing to turn around a 1-15 team, it's another to turn around a franchise that lost it's franchise quarterback, and had their coach quit mid-season only to see him hours later, on a news conference singing the Razorbacks alumni song. BTW, first time in 63 years that a rookie QB and rookie coach made it to the playoffs. It is great what Sparano did, but it is remarkable what Smith did. In the end they both deserve praise!

"Optimism" goes along with being a good fan. Let's face it, this team won 13 games in 2004! I'm proud of this team becoming a contender so soon after some VERY dismal seasons. This team can hang with the Cavs, Celts and Magic, so why wouldn't we be "optimistic?" Against Magic 1-0 ( Beat on their home floor) Against Cavs 1-1 (Each splitting home games) Against Celts 0-2 ( I think we all know those could have gone either way) So with that being said, why the LACK of "Optimism" from you????
