  1. Oh now I see why the Hawks haven’t been on their patented .500 pace this season, they’re looking at the bigger picture: Hawks are 600-600 in their last 1,200 games. Mind. Blown.
  2. I feel like I was supposed to know that Vit was still on the roster. I surely didn’t. From the little I’ve seen from Ja since coming back it seems his passing IQ has graduated up. Clint and OO (if available) really need to take advantage of their deficit at C. We don’t really have anyone to guard Bane, he’s probably gonna pile up drives to the hole and open three attempts. What else is new.
  3. Nothing against the new girl, she’s cool and all, but Lauren is sorely missed.
  4. Laura Jbara on NBATV with the added thickness tho? Stupendous.
  5. I hate to break up the love fest but I’m obligated to lend career perspective and balance (courtesy of statmuse):
  6. You like his regular season career sample size of 379 games at -22? Is 27 playoff games at -102 sufficient enough?
  7. Taking Bufkin over Jaquez was the last straw for me. It would’ve taken me all of 10 minutes to realize Jaquez was the superior and more needed player for the Hawks by simply looking at their college stats and draft scouting (as he’s already a better impact player than oft-injured Dre). That boy Landry deliberated on Bufkin for months before selecting him over Jaquez and Podziemski SMGDH. I should note that Quin wouldn’t get anywhere near the impact Spo has out of him. Probably wouldn't even have the mind to play him over the Matthews Twins lol. The massive gap between the heat and Hawks gets wider. At least Trae is playing arguably the best two-way ball of his career. I’ve been so impressed with his strips and rapid improvement from three. Unfortunately the heat (or any serious contending team) simply doesn’t allow him to spam FTs and lobs.
  8. 1. It’s certainly not, I surely won’t argue with you though. 2. I would never place your eye test above (or near) mine, I’m sure you feel the same. I got nearly 15 years of spot on, original, league-wide analysis and forecasting with stats and tape equally balanced on this board. Read up. You can start with my +/- study on Trae’s high-IQ PG counterparts that’s been holding true for years.
  9. Don Mitchell does all the things outside the stat sheet that effect winning that DJ doesn’t. It’s clear to see why his impact metrics with the Hawks have been bench player level.
  10. I thought Wes brought some stability to the perimeter defense and his +/- says so. He helped get Mitchell off the ball and scrambled to their shooters who had been having a field day. He had a team high +8 followed by Bruno’s +7, everyone else in the minus.
  11. Cavs were favored to win by 4 and they did. After years of never liking him I became a Don Mitchell fan tonight. Even with poor shooting he was excellent. So strong on his push offs, so smart in how he calls and sets up screens, jab step deadly, active defensive communicator, movement so fluid, perfect landing on every shot, tries to tear the rim down when he slashes. Kid is cold, I like his fit in Cleveland, same as Brunson in NY although Knicks fans bellyache about how that situation went down.
  12. He’s 24th in screen assists. Everyone above him is a True C or Anthony Davis (#1). He’s a great screener. He’s very willing and defenders certainly feel him. He just has issues with his angling and timing that causes fouls. The ball handler’s mistake in timing gets him sometimes as well, and sometimes just poor officiating.
  13. Huge 5 point swing with the Okoro smoked layup and Trae bomb.
  14. I asked yesterday if anyone could post Zach Lowe’s 10 Things that had a Hawks excerpt but no answer (the whole article would be great) We’re usually quick to post national articles on the Hawks, appreciate it in advance.
  15. I wouldn’t expect this slump to last much longer. Is that possible? Jaquez and Podziemski were staring Landry in the face, both bigger and seen as better prospects by most draft analysts. Damn rookies, both have a higher PER than Dre smh.
  16. Aight Trent it’s time for a shower. Now.
  17. Donovan has improved a lot defensively. Great footwork and strong upper body to cut off DJ’s baseline drive and force him off the ball.
  18. Cavs battling each other for boards. Bruno career high watch? Gotta drop 20.
  19. Tristan Thompson still alive? And who the hell are these guys on the Cavs.
  20. I’m thinking 104 points in the paint would be a record. That’s the Cavs pace right now smh.
  21. I hate to call dude “Meth Bogi” but it’s so damn fitting Bruno with two cuts already? Take note DJ!
  22. Get OO in the three point contest. Corners only tho. Is this Jarrett Allen or Joel Embiid? f&@k.
  23. Trent need to go a size up on them shorts.
  24. I knew the Suns would flounder but it’s still fun watching it. Three max guys and they’re looking to Okogie to be their defensive leader and “stopper.” Let alone Beal is a walking injury table and Book and KD simply aren’t comfortable with volume three point shooting. Trae now grabs twice as many offensive rebounds as Durant! Cream cheese red velvet Cupcake ass boy.
