  1. Edit topic: Who would you rather meet in the first round of the playoffs? The Hawks have about the same chance of catching the Magic for the #4 seed as they do to become the 6th seed (or remain 5th). In each of these scenarios, the Hawks will either play the Magic, Bulls, or Miami in the first round. Personally I don't think we would want to see the Magic or Miami. The Magic might blow us out again, I think our team fears D. Howard. Bron, Wade, and Bosh, will do their damnest to not be eliminated/humiliated in the first round, which leads me to Chicago. They are a very good team, and are a handfull defensively but I think that we would have a better chance against them, rather than the other two teams.
  2. LOL...Bibby looked like he wanted no part of this situation. Pretending like he cannot break free :no2: But I actually wanted Miami to win, so we could gain some ground on Orlando. :O(
  3. Miami Heat. Good for him but I hate it. http://www.hothothoops.com/2011/02/28/miami-heat-will-sign-mike-bibby-reportedly-frontrunners-for-troy-murphy/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HotHotHoops+%28Hot+Hot+Hoops%29
  4. Then the Hawks take back control and are now up by 20. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  5. Thanks for sharing. Bibby seems a little upset, I feel bad for him. Mo seems to be used to it, and Crawford may get a lot more playing time.
  6. That happened a long time ago I am sure they are over it by now (if there was ever a beef). I personally cant wait to see Kirk and Crawford on the court together, should be some flashy basketball. Imagine a small lineup of: Kirk pg Jamal sg Joe sf Josh pf Al c CANT WAIT.... :Nail Biting:
  7. Wow he is mobile for a big guy.
  8. Our mascot plus a little laughter for Hawksquawk, we need it.
  9. I totally agree with this comment. We need hype like this, its the same thing boxers and mma fighters to to hype up their matches. Someone posted a question the other day about rivals, I think if this game is as intense as the last one, we may have a real rivalry on our hands, especially with all of the NY transplants in Atlanta.
  10. LOL....just because we are at home, doesn't mean that we are gonna win, we haven't been that good at home this year either. I think you are just looking at the schedule one sided and basing your thoughts on the fact that we have a lot of home games in March, but not taking into account the talents of the teams that the Hawks are facing. On the road we play Pistons Knicks - gonna want payback Lakers - Champions, Kobe, one of the biggest teams in the NBA Suns - don't know why but I just don't like the matchup Warriors - Bibby better lace up his sneakers Trailblazers Nuggets Home we have Bulls - Rose, plus they are having a really good season Thunder - no explanation needed Knicks Lakers Blazers - back to back, Bulls night b4 Nuggets Heat - no explanation needed Pistons - always tough game Bulls Nets - Cavs the night after Magic - Dwight Home games or not, you have to be kidding me if you think that is a easy schedule for us. Just the fact that there are so many games in a short span of time makes it difficult.
  11. Well if we don't do any trades, the games after the All Star break and March will show us what this team is REALLY made of. I personally have never seen a team have to play so many good teams at once.
  12. Check your pm, I don't know about the kid age thing.
  13. 10 but, wanna spread them out to as many squeakers as possible. PM me!
  14. My girlfriends friend just gave her a bunch of tickets for tonights game, if you wanna go let me know. They are not great but beats sitting on the computer.
  15. Dejay, I can kind of see what you are saying but, what qualifies to you as a "big game"? Off of the top of my head I can think of 10 or 11 "big games" that the Hawks won last year alone. Yes Atlanta may trust Arthur more than ASG, no question there, but to this statement: "I've yet to read one statement where Blank is berating the fans for not buying enough $50 tickets and $7 beers for him to get players", lol, why would he say that? He will never have a half empty building if the team was one of the best teams in the east...NEVER! I mean the DOME sold out 60,000-70,000 seats just because they had a "winning season". IMO it is easy to put your money where your mouth is when you have fan support like the falcons do. IMO last year, there was no reason for fans not to show up, our only hiccup was the Magic/Dwight. Lastly is Arthur really making the team better or is it just an illusion? Last I checked they lost in both playoff games over the past 3 years and didn't even make it to the playoffs in one.
  16. Cant argue with that if you are only talking about January! :conversation: ^^^^^ Preach
  17. Ok I am going to address YOU for the last time on this subject then I am done. Wow, you obviously don't like Josh, lol. News Flash: He is a Hawk he currently plays for the team that you "roote" for unless something changes b4 the deadline you are going to have to see him for another year. What, do you scan Hawksquawk to see if anyone mentions Josh so you can call them a fail or comprehension fail? And based on your profile picture you are obviously a "Jamal Crawford Prancer" but no one is going to call you out on that. Now I am not a fan of Mo or Marvins play (not very productive on the court) but I am not going to troll every person who mentions their name, those guys are Hawks and I still have some love for them. Everyone knows Al and Joe deserve to go. Again, Josh was a side note to this topic because I PERSONALLY think he deserves to go as well, is there something wrong with that??? Get a grip buddy just because you hate doesn't mean that I have to. To answer your question, yes it was a coincidence the last time I visited NBA.com was during Christmas time, so you failed again. Ok that is enough, I am not going to mention "the guys name that we shouldn't ever speak of" to you, because it obviously makes you :angry22: every time you see his name. See you in another thread. The rest of us can continue to discuss and have a civilized conversation.
  18. I can agree with this, but only if you are referring to January. In the beginning of the season, the kid did everything, including making his jumpers. Will he get back to that, who knows.
  19. LOL...ok Mr. Crawsome. First did you read the title of the thread? It said HAWKS on front page of nba.com, not Josh Smith. I am just glad that the HAWKS are being mentioned in a positive light instead of the usual negatives that get thrown around. The Josh Smith comment was just a side note because I PERSONALLY agree. Jeez you are right, there is a lot of selective reading/viewing going on. :magnifier: Who failed to comprehend this time?
  20. Yeah I think I would pick Smooth too. If I had to choose two though it would be Josh, and Joe. Nothing against Al (he is great for us) but Joe has been a beast lately and Josh deserves a "bone" this year, and has been a beast for us as well, except for half of January.
  21. Enlighten me on what I am failing to comprehend?
  22. Hawks on front page and are being mentioned for reserves, I know most of you on this board don't like Josh but the stats don't lie. http://www.nba.com/ http://www.nba.com/video/channels/originals/2011/02/01/20110201_jump_allstar_reserves.nba/?ls=iref:nbahpt1 Thoughts?
