Yeah, I think DJ sitting out was legitimate. The guy loves to play despite the other things going on. Good to get him a rest day.

Got the win, but this team has got some issues. On to the next one !!!

Hopefully this comes in time, Jalen getting stronger and more assertive.

Looking at some of these clips and the lack of effort defensively is astounding. Smh.

For the players, it's gonna be tough to wipe this one from memory like a normal loss. Did they even try to make Luka defend in pick and roll at least?

My guess is he dribbles into traffic up near his chest and is a poor team defender at very best. I didn’t mean for that to rhyme but on the mic I’m fresh.
Hooorahhh (crosses arms) lolololol. Seriously though, him doing that is not a good look.

Anybody else notice this? What's up with this?

I totally get how great Luka is and how bad some of the Hawks' personnel on the wing is, but you can't just let a guy heat you for 73 like that! And Holman was beside himself with the officiating. Was it that bad?

I bet Ressler ain’t. As long as he gets his money he’s good.

On to the next one !!!

I'm not able to watch. Listening to Steve Holman. It seems that Luka is only having to play on offense. Is anyone making him defend?

Basically Klutch trying to help LeBron and the Lakers at the Hawks' expense. I wonder what they're telling other teams who may have interest in DJ?

We're supposed to believe that DFS and Caruso have the same or more value than Dejounte? Again, something ain't quite right.

Can we have that funny clowns leaving a meeting gif cued up and ready to go in the event the Hawks do something stupid like what's being suggested?

Any guesses from the Insiders or Outsiders as to when this travesty actually happens?

They DGAF. All these losses are gonna be pinned on one guys resume. They see which way the wind is blowing. They gonna let the player shoulder the blame while they sit in the other owners faces laughing about not being able to build a winner with him. And gonna revel in all the pats on the head for helping the Lakers.
Man! I thought Nick Ressler and Trae were tight. If they do that to Trae, that's nasty work.

If we get Dinwiddle to play out the string on a lost season plus just one firs for DJM that is an epic failure for this FO.
I also have to point out getting out of Dinwiddle's money in the summer means, again, we shed salary for three straight seasons with no one brought in to replace the talent level.
This would be a fail of epic proportions. There's no way you can sell that as a win to your star player and fanbase. They won't salary dump the others because they feel like they should get value for them, but they're willing to salary dump their second best player? Make it make sense.

Sigh. If they flip D Lo for a player on a expiring contract, aren't they prohibited from aggregating that player in another deal for a period of time?

My only criticism with Quin is not playing the young guys especially when it is obvious this is a lost season. We need to see what Kobe and AJ can do with actual minutes. Same with Seth.
Didn't he also have a reputation of not playing the young guys while in Utah?

A few weeks back, the Atlanta Hawks initiated a trade discussion with the Pistons centered around Dejounte Murray, league sources told The Athletic. The Hawks were interested in Thompson/Ivey and other stuff of good value. Detroit had no interest, according to league sources.• The Pistons view Cade Cunningham, Ausar Thompson, Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren as their blue-chip pieces moving forward. Per league sources, the feeling is that Detroit has no interest in trading any four of those players in the immediate future. If true, this indicates the Hawks were/are trying to get more than a ham sammich in return for Murray.

These "reports" keep getting worse with this insistence that the Hawks don't want to take any money back.

I don't remember seeing a player more useless in offense than him. Just terrible.
Considering the situation, I understand why he was on the floor. But, Jalen should have been initiating the offense rather than Trent. The approach on offense when he was out there made no sense imo.
