  1. The Atlanta Falcons are closer to holding the Lombardi Trophy than the Hawks winning the Finals. Injuries plagued the Falcons last year. (not an excuse). Those injuries are MAJOR injuries to impact players. Major Injuries: - Harry Douglas out for season in training camp. Mike Murlarkey had a creative package for him to spark the offense. - First round draft pick out for season in second week of the season. Peria Jerry provided much needed pressure from the middle. After he got hurt, Dline getting pressure decrease dramatically. - Second round pick was battling injuries all season long until he was put on injured reserve. - Starting cornerback: Brian Williams out for season in week 6. Williams injured left the Falcons with a poor cornerback rotation. - Michael Turner battle a high ankle sprain after the Giants game. Ultimately leading to him not playing much after that. I beleive 6 games. He had 800+ yard before getting hurt. Carry most of the offense. - Matt Ryan sat out 3 games. Team went 1-2 during the period. With much healthier team, the Falcons potential are enormous. The addition of Sean Weatherspoon and Dunta Robinson the overall defense and pass defense will be much better than last year. Another reason the Falcons are much closer than the Falcons is their team chemistry and will to fight. With the playoff hope gone in week 14. The Falcons didn't really have anything to fight for. They fought their way to 3 victories and earning first back to back winning season. Let's talk about the team you mention: Saints: Dangerous team with deadly passing offense. The Falcons fair well against the Saints last year. They played without their best cornerback in both games. In the second game against the Saints, they also played without Matt Ryan and Michael Turner (also a dealy Jerious Norwood). They relied on backup Redman and 3rd string RB Jason Snelling....26-23 lost. With addition of Dunta Robinson and the return of Brian Williams, the Falcons pass defense will be better suited to fight the Saints. Also, the Saints defense are good, but questionable at the same time. They gave up tons of points last year. Let's see how their defense do this year. Dallas: The overhyped team the past few years. How did they do? Choke in the playoff and did not even make it last year. Their team however is more improved this year. Offense will be deadly with Romo having major weapons around him. However, Romo usually choke in major situations. Green Bay and Minnesota (if Farve come back) are the two I fear the most. I think we have a solid team this year to pull it off. Also, have you look at this year schedule. On paper right now (with the schedule), the Falcons have the potential to get a bye during wild card. If healthy, Falcons are a deadly football team.
  2. Teague had 4 TO. That's pretty high, but his teammate really didn't help him out. Jordan Crawford was solid. Very impress with his range. I like what I saw from Sy, but he tried too hard to impress. He was a bit wild out there. Nice handle, but he needs to work on it some more.
  3. we get a 2nd round pick and " Suns will send part of Stoudemire trade exception to Atlanta to make deal work with Childress." - Adreian Wojnarowski. what does that mean?
  4. Welcome back to the lottery possibly for the next few years or until the ASG sells the team.
  5. Can McGee start? We need a big to move Horford to the 4/
  6. Where is the rumor of us getting McGee come from? If we do get McGee than that is great.
  7. Well now we have to take to wait till 53 picks......there go our chance at a decent Big. Dang it.
  8. We have a great chance of getting a big. I hope it Alabi or Whiteside.
  9. Great draft. So far. We get a scorer and potential a big and still have the 53th pick.
  10. Nets get: Damon James Hawks get: 27th and 31th

    F*CK

We're trading James to the Nets
  12. 2 Small Forward in a row. Wesley Johnson and Luke Babbitt
  13. Darrington Hobson and Stanley Robinson would be perfect t #24.
  14. He was in LA. On a previously agree event, no fault on him for that. But he is a "cancer" in the lock room not Josh. He is woody favorite. He get special treatment and he hog the ball.
  15. Bingo. That's what I've in Joe for a few years. Joe's attitudes on and off the court is probably what is hurting team chemistry. He is a great player and we need him back. However, his attitude need to change. I don't think it will so I don't want to see him in a Hawks uniform again. Bibby was there. The pic from the AJC. He is on the right behind Mario West.
  16. really you go to State, too? But he do have a motor. His size scare. Possibly get push around. Hawks need help now at the big. He is a project.
  17. I watch Varnado played all year. Reason he has so many blocks because MSU has a weak D. They usually let people penatrate and thats where Varnado come in. His size is troubling. Varnado is NOT worth a first round. Do the research.
  18. Varnado is not worth a first round. Second at 53 he is a steal.
  19. I would pick James. There are other solid SF players Boston can pick : Paul George, Luke Babbitt, Quincy Pondexter, or Gordon Heyward.
  20. I agree I would love to get both of them. Luke Babbitt scare me a lot. I would hate for us to pick him. Either George or Pondexter
  21. If the draft go these 3 ways, which one would you prefer? Scenario # 1: #24--SG/SF Paul George: Fresno State 6-7 190 #53--C Brian Zoubek: Duke 7'1 260 Scenario # 2: #24--SF Luke Babbitt: Neveda 6'8 220 #53--PF Charles Garcia: Seatle 6'10 230 Scenario #3: #24-- C Jerome Jordan: Tulsa 7'0 235 #53-- SF DeSean Butler: West Virginia 6'7 225
