  1. Quote: Honestly, I tried to overlook JT's defense a few years ago. But it's sad when you get burned by even the likes of Anthony Johnson and such. Not to mention JT represents possibly the worst era in Hawks history. JT got burned by AJ ONCE. AJ is no star but hes a decent backup. That's early in the year anyways,JT reommited himself to defense at the mid way point(just b4 the trade deadline),and that's when we started to win games.
  2. Quote: Who gave up 28 points to Marcus Banks in 32 minutes? JT's defense IS that bad. He;s a bench player that should play limited minutes. The only reason he has even had good stats is because the team has been terrible since he's been here. Jt should actually be shooting less if 40% is the best he can shoot. His shot has got worse every year he's been in the league. You aren't going to win games with a JT/Sura backcourt because neither are starters. Just because the scrubs have played well when the games mean nothing doesn't mean they are future players. Let me ask u this, who DID play defense in that game? Not Atlanta & certainly not Boston, both teams scored over 30 points in regulation. It was just playing for fun tryin not to get hurt.
  3. JT's shooting has been bad because he's been trying extra hard to get other people involved, his scoring is down because he has cut back on his shots while concentrating on his defense, and his defense isn't as bad as you all think it is. a Sura/JT backcourt may not win a championship, but we're not thinking championship right now, right now we're just trying to get back to being competitive. JT is gonna be a solid player whether it's off the bench as a 6th man or as our starting PG. He should stay. ~Peace
  4. I heard he was going to the PIT,does anyone know if he helped his status(what he did?) ~Peace
  5. I haven't posted in a while. But I wanted to know what you guys think of him. He's a natural scorer who gets his points in a variety of ways. Also,I know that Knight and new management are looking for Dwight Howard(who wants to play in Atlanta & who I want.) Which is smart, seeming that they're trying to bring in a stronger fan base. But if he desides to go to college, what about Pavel Podkozline(sp.)? he's 7"5 and in the Eastern Conference,we'd dominate just by throwing him the ball in the middle. Also, who should we consider with our second first? Who'll be available?? ~Peace
  6. That's not right CHORO,Stotts openly admitted to using JT as a 2guard in most sets. ~Peace
  7. Play,I don't wanna hate on you homie. But your comment about how "Dion wouldn't have had that huge game if not for Reef commanding the double team" was absurd. That's what we brought Reef here to do,command the double teams so that we'd get open shots for JT & everyone else. Diesel,we don't "live & die" by the three,we may shoot them alot, but that doesn't mean we depend on it to win. Jax & JT have always shot alot of 3pters. We've never seen how Dion would shoot the 3 consistently, because we've never seen him get many looks outside(due to injury,& lack of consistent PT) Dion is no Kerry Kittles or Brent Barry, but lets at least see what he can do,give him a chance because he's never had one before. Reef is no 3pt shooter,& I'd prefer to have him in the post to command the double team. But he's shown that he can hit 1 or 2,& if it helps expand the defense I say Let him shoot! We sound like we never expect this team to win, maybe we can all just come to the realization that this team sn't anywhere near as bad as we thought it would be. ~Peace
  8. We can bring back our old logo & make a couple of minor adjustments to it, Like the Sonics did. ~Peace
  9. Dion doesn't have anywhere near as bad floor vision as you all make him seem. He'll turn the ball over, but who won't. Dion is no PG he a SG. Diaw is a SF/PointForward. He is to passive to play in our Offensive lineup,I'm not saying that he'll never be good,I'm just saying that this season isn't in the tank & we shouldn't rush him into our starting lineup. Dion's FG% will rise,it'll come with time. Diaw should remain our 6th or 7th man for now. And Hotlanta, you forever want another "superstar" in ATL. But no one wants to come here. Billy took the steps to push this team in the right direction, maybe you all should stop bashing the moves he's made & wait & see what we can do. ~Peace
  10. Maybe we should bring back the solid black jerseys with the red, white,& gold trim. The Blazers,Pacers,Nets,Lakers,T-Wolves,and various other teams have alternates, why don't we?? ~Peace
  11. Dion hasn't been the instant Offense off the bench that we have always hoped he'd be. He isn't playing outta control, sometimes he may try to hard to make plays(offensive fouls) put he is a natural slasher & a much improved defensive player. His 3pt shot is very streaky, but he's money from 15-18 ft. Plus he & JT complement each other well. All Boris will give us is better passing(and maybe a couple of more TO) & better defense, things Dion already gives us. That will take away Offensive punch,& we'll really be in trouble if Dion doesn't produce like we hope he would off the bench. There's no hurry though,Diaw will be here for a couple more years & he will get his chance. Dion's shooting % will rise, we've played some pretty good games so far, maybe we should wait to make changes until after our season has benn mathematically over(Which may not happen). ~Peace
  12. But you can't put a leash(ala Lenny Wilkens & Lon Kruger) on the offense he can give you. He does bring the ball upcourt most of the time, but Stotts said that some of the time he DOESN'T run the Offense through JT. But yet he has JT break off on the wing, like a 2. But overall I like what we're doing,we've been distributing the ball. And Reef & Theo have been passing outta the post. ~Peace

  14. JV doesn't have to look for his shot as well as get other people involved. JT has to look for his own shot,as well as get the ball to Reef,Jax, & Dion. Their roles are completly different,so we can't say that JV did JT's job better than JT does it. ~Peace
  15. You & various others tyr to point out the negative when the negative doesn't always need to be pointed out. We all know the shortcomings of this team. There's no need for you to try & bash us upside the head with the "truth". We wanna converste as though we are of equal intelligence.Don't look down on people because theyt don't always want to be as pessimistic as you. ~Peace
  16. Jackson is a good fit for us at SF for now though. If Big Dog turns the ball over 7 times then we lose by 20+ instead of just barely losing by 5. Jax offsets his TOs with his defense. Do you guys really think that Knight didn't know how Jax plays???? ~Peace
  17. PG than JT is. But I'd still take JT over Miller anyday. JT can run the Point(one day he'll be the PG he wants to be) & take over a game scoring. ~Peace
  18. perfect world. Start Diaw-a Rookie, who no matter how you look at it isn't a PG but rather a SG or Point Forward. Man I wonder what it's like to be in your world. You don't even realize ignorantly how you post. You want us to bench JT after the first game................................. ~Peace
  19. He's been injury prone & inconsistent. Playing next to Duncan is gonna be no different that him playing next to Garnett. ~Peace
  20. I don't think IND is a lock anymore. O'Neal is unhappy,& reportedly demanded that if he returned,Tinsley,Artest, & Harrington would have to go. You can't have chemistry if no one likes your starting SF or PG
  21. I wanna see how our team will perform up until the trade deadline. If we stink as bad as everyone thinks we will,we should make a trade, but right now I wanna see how our team will play. Antonio Davis is a scrub anyway,we would gain rebounding & maybe a little more Offense. But we really won't need offense if Jackson & Glove contribute 12-14 a game a piece. If we trade Theo we'd lose defense which was our weakest point last year. ~Peace
  22. Coach-Stotts ROY-Boris will hve a year worthy. He and Bosh will play like they deserve it,but 'Melo is gonna win it. Even if Denver sucks again(which I doubt will happen) MIP-Jamal Crawford,or Yao Ming Defensive player-Ben Wallace MVP-The only way Duncan will win it is if he carries his team to the Finals again. Nesterovic is a serious downgrade from a aging, injury prone, foul prone David Robinson. Turkoglu is a offensive upgrade over Bowen, but isn't nearly as good of a defensive player. I think that if we make the playoffs,Reef will be the recipient. He'll have to be no worse statisticly than any of the other players in th running,I don't see why it can't happen. 6th Man-I'm going out on a limb,Lee Nailon or Boris Diaw!!!
  23. "I know who I am" Obviously you don't,maybe you just post absent mindedly. You should learn from what we tell you that you are,not what you believe you're not. ~Peace
  24. he had 2 or 3 of them, but that's just him getting used to the NBA officials. He's learning what they will won't let him do. ~Peace
