A rare post from me (long-time lurker), but I have to say I am happy for you and your bride. Congratulations for not quitting before you discovered why you were brought together. That is an inspiration to me...plus I love your posts. Many more years of the ups and downs of marriage to you!

Who would you recommend as a stop gap? I am all for giving Shredder minutes this year, but I don't want to see the Jason Terry nightmare all over again. Let's bring him in and let him slowly learn this year. Teague is top 10 among all PGs in almost every category. That was with playing alongside Chuck McChuckerson. He might not be one of the most coveted PGs (feel free to list them out along with their salaries), but he is no slouch either. This deal seems a right price for what he brings. Now if this is to become a why should we tank thread, then that is another thing entirely. I say let's match and move forward with a new system and new team.

Teague has only improved. I somehow doubt he was empowered by Josh and Co. to actually run the offense. I do think he needs to grow as a floor leader. I think with only 1-1/2 years of real floor time that he can. I also think his numbers are deflated due to Chuck McChuckerson's propensity to handle and shoot any round object in the arena. I hope we match this offer and let him take the next step of development in a Hawks jersey.

DatWerkk,Thanks for the stats and breakdown between SG, SF and PG on Monta. Definitely a big difference in my perception of him.My only question left is what team was he playing against when he played the point. Was he playing against the other teams #1 PG? What about at SG? That is the only thing that seems lacking. Not sure how to find out since I honestly don't get to watch much Bucks ball;)Any help here from a Monta expert is welcome.

I don't really see why we would bring him here. We just let a great player walk away who actually brought solid D alongside his alter-ego Chuck McChuckerson. I really don't think Ellis is the man for us. In fact, I can imagine the threads on this board now. Just change Smoove out for Monta. No thanks.
