The fact that this thread exists makes the past several seasons a distant memory. I really hope Thabo returns and resumes where he left off. He will be a key part of a deep playoff run. The depth and defensive intensity he brings will be much needed IMO. For the record, I'd like to beat Indy! I also hope we play the ECF against the Cavs and win that one before taking top honors in the Finals;)

I can't "Like" this post enough! If you would have asked me when Bud was signed if I would prefer a top-tier free agent signing (aka, Howard, James, Love, etc.) or Coach Bud, I would have been very shortsighted and said we need the All-Star. I am so glad Ferry had the vision and Bud has the genius to be such a blessing to all of the Hawks faithful.

i live in Houston and love the fact that people are stopping me at work and asking me about the Hawks! "What's up with Atlanta?" "When did they get good?" "I thought they tried to tank last year." Can't wait for Monday to field the new questions that this game will raise! Go Hawks!

on NBA Review on Sirius this morning there some great callers...Hawks are doing it for sure...slowly winning over folks. One commentator said in reply to the inevitable, "Is this the finals preview?" "It might be...it all just comes down to match ups in the west. Only two teams match up with the Bogut-GSWs...San antonio and MEMPHIS." Two things that stood out: 1) No mention of who matches up in the east against the Hawks 2) We really need to handle Memphis! Love the fact that our boys just stared a giant in the eyes and routinely handled their business with different dynamics...Horford's fouls, no Thabo (we really need him for a long playoff run), playing catch up for lots of the game, etc. Give lots of love to the fans!!!!! Go Hawks!!!

That has been my concern with all our men going to the all-star game. I love it from a respect vantage point. I hate it from a rest vantage point.

Beat GSW. They are playing fantastic ball too. To beat them would put the remaining "regular season" naysayers to rest. The only way to get the rest of the naysayers to quite down is to make it to the Finals

I know we are all excited to have the Hawks get some respect via the AS game. I agree with having them all on as AS. But I also would love to get those men REST!!!! Come playoff time we will hopefully be fresh...seeing how Coach Bud is trying to keep minutes reasonable for our starting 5.
