  1. Why did this get moved? Jordan was a Hawk draft pick, no one just forgets people just because the front office decides to make a bad pick.
  2. Lucas Nogueira should have been our pick this upcoming summer but we gave that oppurtunity away.
  3. Wonder why only 2 people have responded to this thread at this point? Everyone pretty much acknowledges what most of us knew from the day LD was named coach at this point, he was another bad choice by this franchise and they are tired of even thinking about the incompetent joke.
  4. Yeah, and you also seem to think Hinrich is some great addition even though the numbers say otherwise.
  5. Corey Fisher did nothing to hurt his stock as Nova was put out of the tourny. I think he is going to be a Kyle Lowry clone down the road. He may be more of a scoring PG which will be a knock on him by some but he can play. Trey Thompson for Georgia is a big time player. He dominated against the smaller Washington front line even though Georgia was sent packing. The only knock I can see on him is that he does not offer any resistance at the rim on defense. He does everything else pretty well. Travis Leslie for Georgia did nothing to change the perception that he is pretty much a athlete not complete basketball player yet. Scotty Hopson for Tennessee looked as bad as the rest of his teammates. The guy looked like he would rather be somewhere else and I don't understand how you do that in the NCAA tourny. If you want a guy to bring it no matter what he is not worth a pick. Keith Benson for Oakland did nothing to answer the questions about him simply being the best player in a weak Mid Major conference. He got outplayed by Texas big men all day no matter what his stats say. Tristan Thompson beasted him. He is not use to playing against player that are even close to his size. He is truly a project and could spend more time in the D League and overseas than NBA.
  6. Jordan Crawford scored another 25 points on 3/18/11. Shot 44% which most coaches would take from a SG. He is a player and trading him was a horrible move. Especially since the Hawks are 5-8 since trading for Mr. Lateral Move.
  7. Kirk Hinrich really turned this ship around
  8. John Jenkins had a decent game in the tourny. He is what he is. He can score off of picks and screens and is a knock down shooter. I think he could give someone a quality 12 to 15 minutes a night in the league. Jeffrey Taylor is a athlete not a basketball player. He is not a great athlete when facing tough competition or contact either. He had his shot blocked several time against Richmond as they were sent home. His jumper is streaky at best and he does not use that athletic ability to play superb D. He needs to stay in school or he will end up out the league 3 years max.He is not a NBA player right now.
  9. Josh Smith is never going to change for good. Meaning he will not change and stay changed, he likes the easy way out. The only reason to bring Josh back is if we really thought we could sign Howard and that is most likely not happening. So, why not trade Josh for some real hope and a little depth while your going. Cleveland and the Clippers made a swap of Baron Davis and a unprotected lottery pick this year for Mo Williams. You may ask why would the Clip give up so much for Mo Williams whom is probably not as good as Baron Davis, well they did it to get rid of Davis contract and they don't think much of this draft. That seems to be the public consensus that this draft is weak but I think that is being overstated. Nevertheless, some times you just have to test the situation to see if it is really as bad or good as someone says. Thus, I think the Hawks should call up the Warriors and g
  10. It would take that team 3 to 5 years to even sniff the playoffs again.
  11. Festus Ezeli is not NBA ready. His numbers looked good in the game against Richmond as they were sent packing but he does not finish well enough even around the rim when he has the advantage every night in college. He also does not rebound outside his area which leads me to wonder about his motor and does he really like basketball or if he just has nice size to play the sport and is taking advantage of this chance to get ahead financially in life. I am not a fan.
  12. Many people have been hoping that since the 1st 2nd round sweep. This will be 3 years in a row when the team is badly outplayed in the round in which they lose and nothing will happen unless we get another owner.
  13. Dee Bost is not in the NCAA tourny and that is what this thread is dedicated to. Nikola Vucevic from USC sucks. I don’t care how he measures at the combine if he comes out. The guy could not even dominate the mid major VCU. He may come out but does not have that dog in him to dominate even when he has a clear mismatch.
  14. Yes, you and your life will be very forgettable at the end
  15. I was wrong for thinking Josh Smith does not need to be traded.
  16. Well the team is just paying him back for the 90% of the time when he is useless.
  17. Drew is the worse coach in the league and that is exactly what they are paying him to be
  18. They are in a worse position than a team that just traded there 2 best players. Hawks front office is a joke.
  19. Yes, Drew and Mr. Josh Smith lost this game for the most part. Key possession, the Hawks get it down to 3 in the 4th and Josh jacks up another jumpshot knowing he had not hit one all night. Drew once again went offense over defense with Jamal in the game and neither Kirk nor Teague. LD is a man with few convictions and should not be leading anything or anyone worthy of being lead.
  20. I'm quite sure Bibby's numbers with the Kings are even better in almost every facet. Furthermore, he won a championship at Arizona. If we are going to backtrack like that why did Bibby ever get traded? One could argue that Kirk is as washed up as Bibby when it comes to the numbers game strictly.
  21. It is early morning here in Metro Atlanta and a lot of things can happen in 12 hours or so before tipoff of the Hawks vs Nuggets but I have a sneaky feeling or prediction. At the end of the game that the Hawks will win against a undervalued Denver team the 2 teams will both be 40-28. This is both discouraging and a reason to have hope. First, for the hope. If the Hawks beat the Nuggets we will officially be streaking because most don't consider simply winning 2 games in a row as a streak. Now for the discouraging part. For a team that made all type of off season statements to get some people to believe that they were trying to take the next step we will be in the same position with a team that just traded away arguably there 2 best players. This is very telling IMO. The telling part is we are still one of the worse built teams in terms of personnel to be in the playoffs for what will be 4 years in a row this year. Just think about it. Milwaukee may not make the playoffs this year but they already have there PG and C of the present and future and they are both pretty much legit, meaning no questioning rather Bogut is a C or not. They can go into the lottery this year, get lucky with a PF like Sullinger or a SG/SF like Harrison Barnes or a SF like Perry Jones and they could be right back in the playoffs next year and better than us. Even more telling, look at a team like Cleveland. They have 2 lotto picks. Let's say they get the correct 2 picks and add them to JJ Hickson, they would be in the same situation we were before adding Joe, meaning 3 or 4 good young players with all-star potential and they just lost arguably the best player in the world. Finally, my point is simple, at best we are in the same boat with Denver when you realistically think about our playoff chances and they just got rid of arguably there 2 best players, which would lead me to think we are not going anywhere forward fast until we make some real impact moves. It just seams like a team can do damn near anything and still stay on par with us, save trade a all world player. Our management plays scared, stupid, or not at all and it has gotten us to the same place as a team that got rid of arguably there 2 best players. Shame on Rick Sund and the ASG. Let's get a win Hawks.
  22. Got to give you credit on that. I look at it now and the part after Kirk being on the same horrible team did not come out exactly as I meant and I can't edit it now.
  23. I was wrong about Hinrich being a lateral move. He is a backwards move as Jordan shows he is a rotation guy and I know we will not resign Jamal and should not. Also we don't have a 1st round pick or money to add a quality SG next year. Kirk also added salary to our cap next year. I now realize Kirk was a backwards move.
  24. Too much Kirk talk for the little effect that he has had on the team.
