  1. For all the people that say Jordan doing this on a horrible team detracts from what he is doing how can you then say us picking Hinrich up who was playing on the same horrible team and expecting him to totally change our culture or be a forward move was warranted or smart especially when he had also been replaced in 2 lineups as the starting lineup by two rookie PG's? I understand that Wall and Rose are all world talents but are you guys seriously trying to bring principle into this argument in which the Hawks totally went against sound principle in every way by giving up too much for a player that is simply serviceable at best.
  2. No one in the NBA gets paid to score 36 points a game because no one in the last 20 years has averaged that. It dates back further than 20 years to be specific. No one gets paid to score 36, he more than earned his money. Joe is a true all-star at worse he is the 3rd best SG in the league behind Wade and Kobe. Ask all the GM's and the majority would rather have Joe over Monta because of the size difference and Joe's defensive abilities. Joe earns his money every game he is one of the best in the league at his position, the truth.
  3. Was a horrible trade from the first moment I heard the particulars and I felt like anyone arguing that it was a good trade was A. Not a fan of the Hawks and there long term nor short term success B. Not a person that can evaluate talent properly C. Maybe into perception more than reality, because the perception that Kirk is a heady good defender is trumped by the reality that he has been traded and passed around a lot lately because he lacks something that is needed.
  4. Jordan going off currently has 25 points in a starting role. As I said day 1 this is a horrible trade. Washington absolutely won in every way.Cut salary with Bibby going away, got a rotation player for the next 10 to 15 years in Jordan Crawford and got a 1st round pick in which they can couple with there lottery pick to move up or just use to select a 2nd player because the draft is not as weak as some would have you believe. What a horrible trade for the Hawks. On the other hand, I am happy to see Jordan doing well.
  5. Joe was as electric tonight as Teague was Saturday good job Joe.
  6. Teague is fine he outplayed Jennings and that was his job.
  7. It will not be Teague time till Ole Lateral Move is moved. When Ole Lateral Move finally has a good game LD will keep him in like he is the savior when he has been given more oppurtunity with this franchise. Hinrich aka Ole lateral move was just given the job and he is a combo guard. I just don't get it. Teague is better defensively also as I have maintained from day 1. Hinrich has not controlled a game since he has been here. He can help in certain instances but not totally controlled. Teague did more and made a bigger impact in 1 game than Hinrich has done in 3 years.
  8. Teague has done more than Kirk.Kirk is the one that has no business starting
  9. Teague should be starting and Kirk should be coming off the bench. People say Teague has had 1 good game which is not true considering he had a good game in Boston also against a playoff team. On the other hand, how many good games has Kirk had? Kirk has not had a single good game IMO, especially if you take into consideration the hype that this board tried to give Hinrich. He has done nothing. So, maybe one of you guys should start a post asking should Hinrich be starting because I seriously believe Teague brings more to the table. The team probably even wants Teague to be successful more than they even care what happens to Kirk.
  10. Woody is 10x's better than Drew. Woody actually had a backbone. There is a reason I don't fit nice and neatly on this board
  11. The post does not have much depth. Some people have really dealt with cancer in real life and would never go around referring to other human beings as cancers. Lastly, the reason why I never wanted Kirk was A. Because he has been a stopgap every where he played. B. I knew he would get blind love just like Zaza when he is not worth it because he has not helped the team do anything better than what they did before he joined the team consistently.
  12. Smith's ceiling is Chris Duhon. Walker's ceiling is probably slightly less effective than Ty Lawson. Walker also averages very close to a 2 to 1 assist to TO ratio. Smith has never been close and does not have good size for a SG. We will not get either and I am happy. I would rather have Darius Morris, Demetri McCamey, or even Corey Fisher in the 2nd round than to spend a 1st round pick on either Walker or Smith.
  13. It's NCAA Tourney time and with that in mind. Here are some players I am watching in regards to what I perceive to be NBA skills and ability and how they would fit in with the Hawks. Remember we only have 1 or maybe 2 2nd round picks depending on who you ask. William Buford SG plays for Ohio State something about this guy just reminds me of Wes Matthews. Corey Fisher PG plays for Villanova something about this guy just screams Klye Lowry. Rick Jackson PF plays for Syracuse I am not high on this guy but he does average 10.6 rebounds and did that in the supposed best conference. Darius Morris PG plays for Michigan He has been showing up in mock drafts for some reason. I don't see why he would leave but he definitely has potential he averages 6.7 assists to just 3 TO's and is just a sophmore. Teague never average a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio in college + Morris is 6"3 to 6"4 kind of reminds me of a young Andre Miller. Scotty Hopson SG/SF plays for Tennessee Not huge on this guy but I do think he can be as good as Rodney Carney who had his moments in the league. Demetri McCamey PG plays for Illinois dude has good size for a PG 6-3 or so and has maintained a 2 to 1 assist to TO ratio for the last 2 years as I said before that's something that Teague was never able to accomplish. He has average 6 and 7 assists the last 2 years. John Jenkins SG Vanderbilt I heard some announcers commenting on Jenkins thinking he was ready for the league. I am not so sure of that. Add that he does not have what I would consider good size for a SG this is the type of guy that could jump in too early and end up falling to 2nd round. I think he is a bigger Eddie House from day 1 though because you can't take away the fact that he is a knockdown shooter. He may have a little more upside than House down the line depends on how he measures out if he comes out, but the fact is he will be drafted as a one-trick pony, knock down shooter. Kenneth Faried SF/PF Morehead State averages 14.5 rebounds a game as a senior. Averaged 13 rebounds a game both his sophmore and junior years. Some really think he will be a 1st round pick and he could but most undersized PF's drop to 2nd round or go undrafted. Check Reggie Evans, Big Baby, and Dejuain Blair for proof. Nikola Vucevic PF USC you have to take notice of a 6"10 guy that can get you 10 rebounds a game. I am not a fan but I would keep and eye on him. Jujuan Johnson PF Purdue He is basically a pick and pop PF at the next level. He reminds me of Solomon Jones physically. I don't think he is what the Hawks need but he is worth noting. Chris Singleton SF/PF Florida State announcers swear this guy is some great defender. I think he looks long and has good size for the NBA SF position but I have never seen any eye popping skill he displays. A lot of people have him as a 1st rounder but I think he could drop and could help a little. He is no better than Devin Ebanks who fell to the Lakers last year though. Jon Leuer PF Wisconsin He is another pick and pop guy in the NBA which is really not what the Hawks need but he is worth noting if I am going to note Jujuan Johnson even though Johnson is much more athletic. Jordan Taylor PG Wisconsin He averages a 4 to 1 assist to TO ratio this year and averaged a 3 to 1 assist to TO ratio last year. Could be a good pick. I think he could be like Earl Watson with a better jumpshot. Elias Harris SF Gonzaga This guy could have been a 1st rounder easy in a draft that was considered stronger last year. The perception of his ability has changed this year but he looks like an elite athlete that can carve out a niche at times. Would not be a bad 2nd round pick on principle alone. Keith Benson PF Oakland He is a 6"10 maybe even 6"11 guy that has good athleticism. He has been inconsistent in my opinion which is telling considering he did not play against greatest competition but I think if he gains weight he can end up in the league and be as good as Larry Sanders who the Bucks drafted early last year. Remember to be reasonable when assessing talent we only have 1 or maybe 2 2nd round picks depending on who you ask. Tourny begins Tuesday.
  14. http://www.hoopsworld.com/DraftPickDebt.asp I don't know who or what to believe because here it says we get the pick this year it is just top 40 protected.
  15. Yes that's why he might fall to 2nd round
  16. That's possible but Sund does not have a good draft record. It was said that the reason we did not take a big last year was because the big we liked late, Daniel Orton was already gone. I don't know how true that is but I do know that Orton had a history of injuries, a reported bad attitude and was not coachable. I would love to have Bebe in the 1st round but I think we can get Renardo Sidney as a steal in the 2nd round and he has 10x's the potential as Pape Sy or any other foreign dude that will never play for the Hawks. I would also love Klay Thompson who might slip to the 2nd round for several reasons. Renardo Sidney: Could be better than any big we currently have off bench if he got in shape. Think Big Baby, Dejuain Blair but he is not undersized. He is a legit 6"10 with shoes, 6"9 without. Klay Thompson: Dude has Kevin Martin written all over him. Knockdown shooter. William Buford: has Wes Matthews written all over him Keith Benson: More athletic than any big we have off bench. Will need to get stronger, might end up in D League by end of season or could end up a rotation player. Scotty Hopson: Good bench wing size. If he makes defense his niche in the NBA he could help. Marshon Brooks: Probably can get buckets just as well as Jordan Crawford or any guy that just gets buckets off the bench from day 1.
  17. LD deserves 0 credit. I am waiting the day we get a real coach. Why didn't LD give him the chance against Derrick Rose? No credit goes to LD the career backup coach. We need our Richard Hamilton to tell that idiot whats real.
  18. I kinda agree but Marvin does not need consistent minutes he has proven over the longhaul that he is too inconsistent to give minutes. He needs to be benched and I am not sure if Damien is a starter in the NBA either even though I love him for his price. I am not a fan of Zaza starting with his inconsistencies also.
  19. Rule #1: :yahoo: Never trust a man that takes his own picture with his own camera phone and puts it on the net.
  20. We have our 2nd and Houston's. We don't get Phoenix 2nd until 2012
  21. Yes Kirk was not what this team needed he is a combo guard with some PG skills. He was always a lateral move. On a positive note I hope we can trade his contract this summer because he will expire next year, we are going to have too many players not earning there keeps. The guy is not worth $9 million dollars or $8 whatever he will make. We already know about Zaza and Marvin and even JJ to some extint being overpaid we don't need another guy eating up payroll and not putting out what his pay says he should be doing. Hopefully we can get atleast 2 solid role players back for his contract. I heard the Kings were looking for a PG earlier this year and had interest in Teague my dream would be to get them to sign and trade Dalembert to us for a deal where Kirk and Dalembert would be the major contracts
  22. I knew it, but he got 44 minutes. The guy needs 30 minutes a night some how or he want make a true impact take it for whatever you like.
  23. Yeah I would rather see ole lateral move play the SG spot and move Joe to SF maybe that will create a mismatch for him
  24. Well my only response is I hope it did not take anyone this long to see what has been going on. I said after we got swept by Cleveland a couple years ago and failed to make any type of significant move (I never considered Jamal a forward move because he has never had the grind it out playoff tough mentality) that Sund was brought in to run the team into the ground and eventually have it moved to Vegas.
  25. There are a lot of role players that can help the Hawks in this draft, but we drafted bad and wrong last year. So, what do you expect for this organization to do other than take the easy way out like blaming fans. As much as I still like Jordan there will be a lot of SG's in this draft that can really score as Sund stated that was the reason for drafting the guy. We needed and need bigs a lot more than a guy that can really score by jacking up jumpers. The Hawks are done as long as they keep this management. Sund has been a failure for the most part and the ASG have totally failed.
