They should go after Harris. They should then trade Smoove this summer if the Hawks do not push it to atleast 6 in the 2nd round. Trade him for a C and cap relief. If all works out well and we make it atleast 6 in round 2. We have to trade a lesser piece like Marvin, Zaza, Bibby's expiring, Jordan or Teague. It can be done but a deal will have to be done this season in which we will not have much leverage. One of those J Chillz for a second and trade exception type things. It hurts but it's true. I would not have a huge problem giving away Marvin and Zaza unless something changes tenfold

New Jersey wants to move the horrible contract of Outlaw and they are rebuilding no matter what building they move to. Also, Devin Harris is about to be 28 and has never been one of the 2 best players on a team that made the playoffs. Meaning he is a 3rd wheel at best. I think they would do it and the best thing is we would only be like $700,000 over the cap this year. They could take that $2 million they pocketed for selling the 2nd round pick and pay that $700,000. I disagree on Sessions the guy has never played meaningful NBA minutes. Never been a team trying to do what we are trying to do. I seriously doubt if playoff teams allow him to get to the bucket at will when it counts. It's so easy to fool the general public which is basically what the OP meant. Sessions has one good game against a legit playoff team and fools start thinking he can do that with a playoff team when the intensity gets kicked up. It's more likely that Shaq, Perkins, or KG will slam him to the floor breaking his neck before they let him run to the rim all night .

I would prefer we just go after Devin Harris without the side show we can stay under the luxury with some creativity. Zaza, Jamal, Marvin, Teague and a 1st rounder for Harris, Outlaw, Kris Humphries, and Vujacic. We would be like 700,000 over the cap but I think we could use that $2 million we sold that second round pick for to pay that. We would be only like $3.5 to 4 million under the luxury amount next year with only 7 players that would be the problem. We would basically have to make another move in the offseason or just pray for a hard cap set at $75 million. We take on Outlaw's horrible deal and toss them a 1st rounder that's why I think this has a shot.

Joe Johnson played well last night. The Hawks have a bad front office. I respect the team on the floor they show heart because they are undersized and don't really have the quality talent or depth to compete with the true elite,but they go out there and get humiliated every year in the playoffs. I would rather Al shoot 3's than Josh, but I would rather Josh Smith turn and Marvin turn into Andrew Bogut and Magette, that's just me. I would rather a 7 ft guy be my shot blocker than a 6"8 guy. That 7 ft can block almost anyone's shot that 6"8 guy is limited and let's be honest Josh is at best when he is defending and getting to the rim not shooting any type of jumpers

Sessions is not worth given up Teague or Jordan for. There is a reason he was once in the D League. There is a reason the TWolves did not hesitate to get rid of him even though they don't have the greatest PG situation. The reason is he does not always play to the level of whatever numbers you see that make you think he is a upgrade. Add the fact that he has never seen the type of pressure the playoffs will bring, or a team trying to make the playoffs is under, He is far from a sure upgrade over Teague, and he is definitely not a upgrade over Bibby considering Bibby has the battle scares to prove he has been there done that.

Rick Sund is stilling looking for a David and Goliath type miracle instead of being creative enough to get us a Devin Harris, Granger, Bogut type guy. It does not take a genius to see that you are gonna have to take back a bad contract and throw a 1st round pick or two into play to get another real piece. I don't think that we necessarily have to give up Josh, Al, or Joe. I really think we could take back Travis Outlaw's horrible contract and get Devin Harris. Might take dealing Teague or one of the Crawford's along with Marvin and Zaza, might even take atleast 1 first round pick but I think it's doable. Sund, the guy that supposedly does not even use the internet needs to stop living in a fantasy land. Challenging the players is not going to make Bibby get quicker or Al grow longer.
