  1. Ctrl + F "name of player"Morrow6'6.5, 210, 6'10.5Jenkins6'4, 212, 6'8,5"No idea where we got 220 lbs from. And I'm all in looking at Smith at the 3 because if he's getting $17 mil he better be playing more than 1 position.
  2. Scott didn't look tough at all when I watched him. Udonis plays physical defense. I don't think Scott will be much more than a catch and shoot 17 foot guy who hurts us on defense. I'm pessimistic on him and think Hawks could have gotten Kyle O Quinn.
  3. Dayum. Troll alert. I hope everythings allright at home tdaniels. And if you're in a really bad situation you can use the internet to search for hotlines to help tdaniels. http://www.thehotline.org/ Computer use can be monitored and is impossible to completely clear. 4. The Art of Storytelling dont fit. But great song my fave Andre 3000 song. The hood be requesting my services, don't be nervous its step your game up time these aint the same old rhymes designed to have you dancin in some club--- :)
  5. Yes. I like it. Its a very logical/"makes sense" stat to me. Some people don't like it because a guy like Tony Parker can have a higher defensive rating than Westbrook (because Parker plays with Duncan) or something random like that. Well duh -everyone knows Duncan is the key defender there. Its not like someone is going to rank Parker All Defense because he plays with Duncan or something like that. Some people dont like those stats nonetheless
  6. In reality it has nothing to do with culture change. If Ferry's theory is right then the shooters open up the game for Josh and get him more layups. More assists. I am skeptical. But he does a lot to help the team already.
  7. Confucius say: you want to stay away from that girl you've been admiring from afar. But seriously? That's kind of a reckless statement. Not many Hawks fans can recall that Josh Smith played the 3 last year. And we won. Can any of the naysayers actually name the games he played the 3 last season? Because he lost some weight and showed some improvement this year at both positions. Or are you just still scarred by the early years.
  8. He's another tweener (big and slow for the SF) and can't shoot. He's 6'9 and 230 according to draftexpress.Josh Smith at the SF is the way to go.At this point people are taking Smith for granted. Come on Josh Smith or Derrick Brown?
  9. Defensive win shares are accumulated through defensive efficiency.Defensive efficiency is : how many points scored per 100 possessions while you are on the floor. Some may say Boozer is up there because of Joakim Noah but he was up there in defensive efficiency before in Utah.Fact is he is short and gets destroyed by tall Hall of Fame players like Gasol and KG BUT he measured 6'9.5 and 260 lbs as a rookie. He's a load to deal with and he's pushing and pulling you all game he can play bruising defense. Also he doesnt take bad shots on offense that hurts his ability to get back on defense. SO per 100 possessions he is making sure other teams dont score on him.And when it comes down to it most teams dont go crazy scoring when Boozers on the floor. Sadly he's above average.
  10. Paul Millsap is a free agent? Should we?http://www.slcdunk.com/2012/8/6/3222541/paul-millsap-turned-down-a-maximum-contract-the-downbeat-810
  11. Meant to post this as well.Is there any doubt that replacing Marvin with Zaza on the injured list last playoffs would have gotten us past Boston?Teague vs RondoJoe vs BradleyJosh vs PierceHorf vs BassZaza vs KG--Pargo vs DoolingHinrich + marv vs Allenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biEFVQoLmPYWhat it would take would be the right matchups. Slow SFs vs Josh.IE Boston or NY or Indiana. I also think Philly if he can post up Turner or Young and attack them into foul trouble then we're halfway home.Josh, has been proven time and again to have no problem guarding SFs (when he's actually given the task of playing the 3, but most Hawks fans only want to remember the times where he was guarding a 3 and he got beaten off the dribble and instead of Horf and Zaza to stay in the paint you had only 1 big + Hinrich or Marvin).
  12. I think its interesting how many top SFs in the East have proven they struggle guarding Josh Smith over the years. Carmelo, Pierce, Deng, Granger.I think we should have have had at lease one ECF by now if we had a semi-decent PF/C to go with Al (PF/C) and Josh (SF/PF).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBP9L6G5Sm0People are focused on who can guard whom. But sometimes the best way to "guard" somebody is to go right at them on offense, bang with them on the boards and physically wear them out.
  13. Im for starting Zaza. I dont want to see Josh playing too much at that high elbow (PF spot). He (and the Hawks by extension) gets ridiculed too much on offense and abused on defense. The defense and having Josh as the wing in transition obviously improves us. Also with Zaza in the offensive rebounding of he and Josh should mitigate any bricks Horford throws up from the elbow. If Josh is the 4 and he misses you have Horford and Korver/Stevenson crashing the boards. It hasnt worked in the past. In the immortal words of Joe Johnson " "Maybe," he said. "But you look at a jump-shooting team–we are a jump-shooting team. If shots are falling then, great, we are rolling. But one through five, we all are jump shooters. That’s pretty much what it is. Like I said, if we are making shots then we are probably unstoppable. But when we are not making shots those are the games we have to grind out." Yeah Josh has nights where he does everything on defense rebounding and shooting. But I would like to see the Hawks try a big grind out team a bit. A lot more physicality please?
  14. Indiana's "hack happiness" messed up our season last year. Pound of salt.
