  1. If we can get Andrew Wiggins, Phillips will have sellouts. Get Wiggins and then Okafor, Phillips will be rocking for decades. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLsK-ZoL9sY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmdObIUKSZM
  2. You keep giving me this data ignoring that the 2014 and 2015 draft class is loaded. You keep giving me this data without acknowledging we only have one asset on this team who could get us a 1st rounder and that's Al. You keep giving me this data without acknowledging that staying in the middle is the worst place in Basketball and has always been the worst place in Basketball. Ask Sam Mitchell. Ask any coach. Ask any GM. Ask any owner. Your attendance is general worse in the middle than it is at the bottom. Obviously your attendance is best when you are an contender. Our franchise value is like the 2nd worse in the NBA. Go to Forbes.com.

KB21 plan would work great if we were the Spurs then we wouldn't have a need to tank.

Your route isn't effective as it doesn't relate to us. Your idea is to keep a tweener forward who can't even get Monta Ellis in a trade for. Your idea and to draft a Khawi Leonard when Leonard would be asked to do too much and would be slow to develop here and your idea is to add an Al Jefferson is a criminally flawed player who his team has no interest in bring back. Your idea just isn't as attractive as gutting the team for assets, keeping Horf, putting 3rd stringers around him and doing some mass losing. Getting a top 5 pick hopefully the #1 pick. Get Wiggins. Tank again, get Okafor or Jones. Then playoffs and a year later contending. I like a roster of (PG) asset 1st/Lou/Mack Jenkins/1st round asset from trade Wiggins/Gianaiss/ Horf/Scott/??? Okafor/asset 1st rounder That would give us two potential superstars, a good potential PG if we draft well, Horf who is a top 15-20 NBA player and Jenkins who in three years should be a good player for us. That would give us an elite squad in the future. Wiggins giving you highlights as well as Okafor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLsK-ZoL9sY
  5. Remember, if you want to win at something you need to win. There are two championships in the NBA every year. The NBA Championship where there are usually around 4-5 contenders a year. The Tank Championship where there are usually around 4-5 contenders a year. If you aren't competing for the NBA Title, you are likely a loser. If you are competing for the tank championship, you likely need a strong draft or you are a total loser. OKC were tank champions. Washington have been tank champions. Cleveland have been tank champions. Miami has been NBA champions. Dallas has been NBA champions. LAL has been NBA champions. Charlotte has been tank contenders. Memphis have been tank contenders. Orlando has been tank champions and are now contenders. San Antonio has been NBA contenders. Indiana has been NBA contenders. OKC has been NBA contenders. The Hawks have been a joke The Bucks have been a joke The Sixers have been a joke The Bobcats have been a joke The Wizards have been a joke The Kings have been a joke
  6. If you plan on keeping any of these guys, we aren't doing true tanking. We need to keep the cup bare but still have some talent like Al, Lou, and Jenkins. Most of these guys would be anti-tank and anti-contender. That's a double negative.
  7. Whoever offers us a number of 1st round picks. Honestly, two year contracts are actually good if we are tanking. Let's use the Knicks. If they are willing to give us their 2014 and 2016 1st round picks and a future 2nd rounder. Taking Amare contract off the their hand could be good. If they aren't, doing one year deals for bad contracts can be good if we can get a 2014 1st rounder. Honestly, I would cut all of the players we trade for. We need their contract and their asset, not their contribution which would kill our chances to true tanking.

A great GM would realize you couldn't even get Josh for Monta Ellis, he isn't much of an asset. A great GM would realize your starting PG who is talented is just an average PG and the best you can get a late 1st and you would probably have to take a bad contract just to get that. A great GM would realize this roster only has one real asset with true value. A great GM would realize that if you can't get hit a home run, you should probably build up the farm so you can hit a lot of home runs in the future. A bad GM would realize hey, if I rebuild, I would have to work extremely hard, it would be easier to resign Jeff who I couldn't get a 1st for straight up anyway, I could sign Al Jefferson since he is a post scorer even if he doesn't answer my issues and I could resign Josh since he seems like a fan favorite. Yep, I am happy we have great management. Where assets and superstars are more valuable then overpaid role players and guys with potential but are flawed in general. Even so, no team is giving us a 1st 2014 for just Jeff. He's not worth it especially if they have to pay him. They would give us that if we take a contract off of their hands.
  9. That team had moments, moments are boring to me. I need consistency. That's why I never brought in to those Joe era teams in Atlanta or the Deke teams either. I knew these teams weren't getting to the ECF before the season started.

I would hire Diesel if I wanted to stay in the middle. Any poster can get hired but if we want a contender, we need a great GM. If we want to rebuild correctly, we need a great GM.

I love rebuilding if it is done correctly, getting assets, understanding how to gut your roster, tanking during the right years which takes timing, coming into to rebuilding with a gameplan. That's smart GM. Staying in the middle is the easiest job in the NBA. It take no talent. Just sign FA's who are decent. throw them on the floor and let them get you to the playoffs, more than likely a late seed. Look at Billy King, he did an amazing job getting Brooklyn in the middle. Now they can't get to the top with a stud like Deron on the squad.

This team will place where we are now. That's not rebuilding. That's staying the same and being a joke. If we are tanking, you are at least trying to get assets. Get assets for Teague, Smoove, and for our cap space. That's rebuilding. What signing guys like Jefferson does is not reputable and no guarantee Bud will be any good with these guys. You are only as good as the players you have in the NBA. You can put them in the right spots but if they have too do too much, you will be over matched regardless.

We been in the middle before and we are in the middle right now. How can you rebuild in the middle? Houston is still in the middle and are built to be capped out in the middle. They are just hoping D12 goes there. If he doesn't, they would either have to wait till 2014 or sign someone like Smoove. They would still be in the middle. How is Houston an example? They don't have a superstar either. How you can be a superstar when you team is better with you on the bench then on the floor? There is a reason why OKC traded him, they found him to be replaceable. Superstars aren't replaceable.

Ferry would look like an idiot giving guys like Teague and Jefferson contracts. It's either contend or tank. If you stay in the middle and overpay for guys, what makes you any different than BK and Sund. That's what bad management does.

The reason why no one is listening to you is simple. In the NBA you need prime talent. If you can't get it via FA, you have to get it in the draft. Your idea of getting Leonard types and developing them would mean you would have to have a contending squad which makes it easy to plug and play guys and develop them. The problem is, we don't have that guy on this roster which gives us the ability to develop them since we would have to put them in a role that's too big for their britches. So in other words, we need to get back into the draft during a time when the draft is strong. This upcoming draft at the top is very strong. About five-seven potential franchise players. We can land one and feel good for along time. The worse we can do is get an Al Horford potential player which is still an amazing pick if it's a true center or a PG. That's why tanking is good. You don't want to tank in weak drafts. We did that with Childress and Shelden. We needed to tank the year we got Al which was good and the year Kevin Love and guys that were in the draft. Great tanking years.

Grizz had some terrible drafting. Thabeet over Harden. and numerous others. They had bad management. Celtics did a great job. Trade their assets for KG. Traded their pick for Allen. Won a ring the next year. Great tank. Bucks just are a poorly ran org and still is.
  17. I enjoyed the draft. Last year, I didn't enjoy anything. The year before, I didn't enjoy anything. It sucks but what's the point of watching when this team isn't good enough and they don't have the pieces to get a superstar or the cap is maxed and you are in the middle. It's like Knicks fans right now. They are pissed and most would rather tank. They have a top 5 face in Melo. We had Joe Johnson as our face. Of course there was times were they were like, we could beat Miami then reality hit and it sucks. I hated it and will always hate it. We just need two top 5 picks and two top 3 picks would get us on the fast track and two 1 picks like Wiggins and Okafor would set us up for contending for many years to come.

A quick tank is perfect. Two really bad years. No three year tank plan. Wiggins, for as talented as he is, he is still somewhat raw. He is not Lebron, he won't come into the NBA dropping 20ppg. But his 2nd year, I can see him getting 23-25ppg. With Horford right there as well as another top tier draft pick, he can develop quickly like D. Rose and Durant.

We got to get a top 6 pick. We would really suck with Green/Brown/Mack or comparable scrubs out there. The odd of falling out of the top 6 would be extremely low. We would be as bad as Orlando would be next year if not worse. If we miss on CP3/D12, what are our options. We can't win with anyone else in FA. Why waste the money and the time?
  20. NBASupes

    Trade Horford

You have to remember, not everyone wants to tank. Some just hate it. They want to watch Basketball where they can win the game. They don't really care for the draft. That's not their thing. I see it like you do. You need superstars. These next two drafts have potential. Every NBA team today has legit talent. If we put out Mack, Green, and Brown as starters, we would be the only team putting out more than one scrub in a starting lineup in the NBA. Charlotte nor Orlando is doing that. We would most definitely be tanking with Horford being the only good player and Jenkins at least being somewhat respectable.

If we use this logic with all of our players, Josh should get the max. We should have never traded Joe because he was a superstar like v. Boston, and Bibby should still be here do to his play at times in the regular season. We can't cherry pick and say well, he was very good v. this team when that team didn't focus on him and were focused on Jamal and Joe and then say well, I like him, so let's keep him. The bottom line is he isn't an elite scoring guard. He rarely creates for others. He doesn't have elite BBIQ. How can you use him as a starting PG on any NBA team today? You would be at a disadvantage but he has flashes where he is too good and helps you win some games. If we are tanking it is better to go with Mack. We know he below average at this level. If you want to contend, you go with CP3, you know he can dominate at this level. Just makes more sense.
  22. If you plan to contend, Teague has to go. If you plan on tanking, Teague has to go. We have a 6th man and he's too good for us to tank. We need a lot of money to even make the cap floor if we can't get CP3/D12. We need to trade for bad contracts and get their 2014 and 2016 1st round picks. It could be lotto protected if they want. But we need to get more assets.
  23. The Hawks games were more fun to when they were bad. They had better entertainment during the breaks then during the games. Now the Hawks games are just the games which are still boring but more likely to win.

The problem is Det isn't trading him for Drummond, they would for Monroe but that wouldn't help us much. We need a quick tank. Two year tanking plan. In order to do that you need to gut the roster but keep one very good player where the players can tank around. Place NBDL level players around him and one prospect. Example, Kwame, Gerald Green, Anthony Randolph, Mack, Benson, you know, scrubs.Keep a player like Lou so we can have some chance of not looking is we are purposely tanking and sucking. Remember Miami one year tank with Wade. They would have been more successful tanking the next year if they stayed with scrubs around Wade. Wade was a top 3-5 NBA player at that time. Al is more of a 15-25 level player. We can tank much easier with him then Wade. It should be simple. Suck bad first year. Get Wiggins, Parker or Smart. Play them in a rotation to develop. Suck again. Get Okafor, Jones, or Towns. Get in the playoffs in year three. Become a contender in year four. OKC did a three year tank. Got Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. Then got an asset in Jeff Green. Some great management and tanking. Bad tanks are Minny, Charlotte, and Toronto.
  25. How is a roster with Mack/Jenkins/Green/Horf/Brown equals half way tanking? That's full blown tanking. You got three scrubs, a SG who is learning the ropes and a very good player with an extremely young bench as well. That's one of the worse teams in the NBA. Your idea of tanking is to empty the cup bare. That would take too long and it would be hard to develop players around other young players. With Horf, we can tank properly. We only need two years. We just need to suck bad for those two years (14 and 15). Look at Washington and Cleveland. Both of these teams have a prime potential superstar in Wall and Irving. While Irving is allow to develop more because he gets to play with some quality vets, they bared the cup empty for Wall and his development too much longer. We need Al. From there we can do what we please. None of the young players in 14 outside of Smart is ready to help us win games in 14-15 anyway so we can still easily tank for 15. If we can get into 16 with Wiggins, Parker, Smart, Hezonja, A. Harrison to play with Okafor or Jones. With Horf and a lot of cap space and assets from other picks, we can build a superteam like OKC. That's smart management.
