  1. If we still get CP3/D12, I would still try to get Burke or Oladipo. Burke if he looks amazing can be great trade value like Harden was for OKC.

  3. Exactly, he knows they need to add talent. He will tell them to add talent. The Dream is still alive fellas. Come on Ferry.

Philadelphia (a) Keith Van Horn Utah 3. Boston Chauncey Billups Colorado 4. Vancouver Antonio Daniels Bowling Green 5. Denver Tony Battie Texas Tech 6. Boston (from Dallas) Ron Mercer Kentucky While you can say SA wasn’t tanking, they did sit out David Robinson longer than they should when he was hurt and they were stuck in the middle before they landed Duncan.
  5. Here is what a contender is? A contender is a team that goes to the WCF/ECF more than once during their contending years. Example: The Lakers are a prime example of a team in the middle and became contenders. Traded for Kobe. Signed Shaq as a FA. When they traded Shaq, they instantly became in the middle, then they traded for Gasol and became a contender. That's an example of being in the middle then contending. Look at Miami, they too were in the middle then they signed Bosh and Lebron and became contenders. Another example. Then ain't nobody trading for Lin. His value isn't that high and the PG position is extremely deep.
  6. They had Nash, that was an easy no.
  7. Once again, all this your doing is lip service. At 5PM, you post all the teams that went from being in the middle to becoming contenders and I'll post all of teams that tanked (two top 6 picks) and became contenders. Just a lotto pick isn't tanking. It just means you missed the playoffs with these amount of teams. 5PM today.
  8. That wasn't the question. I asked what team would let Lin dominate the Basketball? ECF Tor- No NY- No Byk- No Bos- No Philly- No Mil- No Chi- No, maybe without Rose playing Det- No Indy- No Cle- No Atl- No Cha- No Orl- Maybe Wash- No Miami- Hell no WCF No one So out of all NBA teams, only Orlando might consider it.
  9. He did well with Nash. They did okay with the PnR. He did a great just finishing and setting screens. His passing is below average Average BBIQ Solid positional defender and can protect the paint at times, struggles at defending the PnR. He is solid on D. He is an above average center.
  10. My question was what skills does Drummond have? You didn't show me any of his skills. You just showed me stats PER36. I can do that with John Salley, does that make him special? I know Andre is talented.
  11. What team in the NBA will let Lin dominate the ball and cause turnovers and be exposed for being dominate with just one hand. His impact is a total negative in the playoffs. Beverly showed more ability than Lin at times. The 1st round picks are assets.
  12. Post the ones who were success going from the middle to becoming contenders. Give me a 20 year window. 1993-2013 and I'll give you the same thing for tanking to becoming contenders. You just talk and post stats, I haven't seen you for one minute truly defend your stance. We both got till 5PM to post our results. Good luck.
  13. They had a winning record with Martin, Lowry and Scola. Where is the massive improvement? The Hawks was much worse than the Rockets when Joe arrived. We were the Bobcats level two years ago in terms of talent.
  14. Jeremy Lin is not an asset. No one will give you a 1st for him. They won't even take his contract straight up. Aisk is an asset. Martin was an asset. Scola wasn't so they amnesty him. Lowry was an asset. Dragic could have been an asset. Talk about a bad deal for Phx. They traded him for Aaron Brooks. Harden is an asset. Parsons is currently an asset but that will change the minute he gets a new deal. Atlanta has three assets. Josh Jeff Al Two of them can't get us a 1st rounder in 2014 without taking back some salary. Sorry but our assets don't fly.
  15. Your strategy is wrong. You haven't show us a solid example of a team in the middle that became a contender. You talked about Houston and just Houston and they are in the middle just like us. Your strategy is a poor strategy and you know it too.
  16. I seen successful tanking a lot more than staying in the middle. The only team I've seen master being in the middle are the Lakers. They landed Kobe and Shaq and then landed Gasol for Kwame Brown. They seems to have it figured out.
  17. Joe Johnson never had a season where his team was better without him then with him. Not in Boston. Not in Phoenix. Not in Atlanta. Not in Brooklyn. Joe has been a very good two way SG. To say Joe has never had a season like Harden is true. Joe has had better seasons then Harden for most of his career. I'll take a winner who helps his team win even if he's not a #1 option over a chucker who plays little defense like Harden all day. Harden will never be a superstar. Ever.

    Trade Horford

Isn't that the Atlanta model. We started off with a bad plan, 6'8 everyone from PG to C. We changed, brought in a 6 time All Star in Joe.
  19. Dwight played the minutes as a rookie. To say someone is Dwight Howard territory is wrong because Dwight did it playing those minutes and Dwight had skills especially defensively. I am not understanding your point.
  20. They got a Raptors pick which was a projected top 5-8 pick. That was a tank worthy pick which is why Houston was able to get Harden. If OKC had their way, they would have gotten Klay T or B. Beal but both teams declined the trade. Your charts do little to help us get to our goals. How many assets do we got? Is there any team willing to trade for Jeff for a 1st rounder, much less a top 10 pick like Lowry? What can we trade Smoove for? We tried, the best we got was players like LRBM.
  21. Joe was two way player. Played good defense. Was tough. Versatile. Had good BBIQ. Could spot at PG. Had range. Good post up and mid range game. Joe struggled badly with the double team. Was inconsistent v. good teams. Lack a killer instinct. Not a #1 option. Harden is a very good transition player. Can be streaky at the 3 but he be lights out with it. Drives to the hole a lot. Draws a lot of fouls. Can score in bunches. Harden PnR and team defense is awful. Horrible at defensive rotations, has average BBIQ, Struggles posting up and shooting mid range jumpers, struggles in the half court and is inconsistent v. good teams. I would still take Joe over Harden even if I am trying to win a title and have a superstar. I would take Harden if I need someone who can put of numbers and we suck overall.
  22. I watched LA a lot over the last three years. I think his impact is shot. He does somethings well but he has trouble getting you that easy basket. He is slow as molasses and his defense would be horrible. Honestly, the Al Jefferson signing makes more sense then something. Pau Gasol would have been a quality addition in 2007. In 2013, not so much. Gasol being soft is not media driven, he's extremely soft. I don't see anything that makes us better. Just the same or worse but not much worse. Maybe your goal should be to resign Jeff and Josh and bring someone like Monta along for the ride.
  23. They had a better record and better defense without Harden. Martin was just as efficient. They lost the minute Westbrook got hurt in the playoffs. The same would have happened last year if Westbrook got hurt. Harden game is basic. He will never be any good in the playoffs. They play a run and gun style. He struggles greatly in the halfcourt and his shooting% drop by 10% in their losses. His defense is Jamal worthy and his BBIQ is average at best.
  24. We drafted Marvin, Shelden, and Childress. Extremely awful GM skills and a weak draft with Shelden killed us. My question for you is, who would you rather tank with BK or Ferry?
