  1. CP3, Horf, and Al are good positional defenders. Korver is an excellent team defender while Jenkins is a solid team defender who can greatly improve.
  2. We actually help the Lakers times one million if D12 leaves for Atlanta. Here's why: If D12 leaves for Atlanta it is only to play with CP3. CP3 Jenkins Korver Horf D12 Is the best team in the NBA. They all fit. Half court players. Everyone is very good positional defenders and D12 is also an elite anchor. We have movement, size, shooters, post play, PnR, PnP, and star talent. We should easily beat Miami and the only team that should give us major issues is OKC with their length and their bigs but even then, we should win. With this squad being powerful for at least 5 years, this will force Lebron to look at different options. Cleveland would be a great fit but they still would be miles behind Atlanta and are too young. The only other legit option is LAL. They will have a lot of cap. Only 7 mil of salary. They will have a likely top 10 pick as they will be tanking and knowing them, they will likely sabotage the draft to land Wiggins, Parker, Smart, or Randle. They will have money for two max deals and can get them to take less to build a contender. Nash(8) or (Smart) Kobe(10) James (16) Randle(3) Andrew Bogut (11) This will give them great team defense, offense, and potential as well. That roster I put up is 48 million.
  3. That's great when you have a Tim Duncan to built around but when you don't, you just got to hit the reset button. Like I said, CP3 and D12 and this team is the best in the NBA but if they stick to what they are, this team is tied to mid level forever.
  4. Extremely poor drafting. I seen Shelden being a bust a mile away. I seen CP3 and Deron being much better than an overhyped prospect who couldn't even start for his college team. BK is and was an idiot.
  5. They have Tim Duncan who can do a lot of little things as well. Tim Duncan impact is still elite in the NBA. Especially in the playoffs.
  6. It actually has. They have better attendance and fan morale right now than the Hawks fans do outside of this off-season where our morale is sky high with rumors of CP3 and D12 coming to Atlanta.
  7. Yeah, they aren't getting traded to Atlanta tho.
  8. Not quite sure why you are taking personal shots at me but it is fair to say Jeff impact numbers doesn't come close to someone like say Russell Westbrook much less Eric Bledsoe. The thing that hurts Bledsoe is his team is much better without him then with him. It could be the CP3 effect but while he has position impact, his impact is far less than what CP3 gives the Clippers.
  9. Eye test is very important but impact is also important. Let's look at impact stats for Teague in comparisons to Devin Harris. Teague is outproducted by his opponent 18.3 to 17.4 for a net -0.9. Teague does provide a positive on court impact as he is 1.3 to -1.4 when he's off the court for a net of +2.8 which is decent for a role player in the NBA. Harris outproduces his opponent 15.3 to 14.0 for a net +1.3. Harris also provides a positive on court impact as he is 5.2 to -2.3 when he's off the court for a net of +7.5 which is excellent for a role player in the NBA. The Hawks are much better with Harris on the court than Teague but since Harris is only on the court for 36% of the Hawks total plays while Jeff is on the court for 66% of the Hawks plays, let's look at Units. Teague is at his best when Harris is the SG especally defensively. The same is the case for Harris but for offense and defense. So it could be those two play well off of each other.
  10. Teague stuggles at running offensive sets. He doesn't create for others. His assists are a product of the system and of his usage. He doesn't have high BBIQ. He is consistently inconsistent as well. When I see Teague, I see a player who can be excellent as a 6th man playing combo guard like Lou did for Philly.
  11. That's fine and dandy but I watched him play all year long. I am just not buying it. Sorry. If you really want to use Westbrook, I find it to be odd as Westbrook is one of the most impactful players in the NBA and Teague isn't even the most impactful PG on the Hawks.
  12. We need to stop this. We all know Dwight isn't coming to Atlanta without CP3. So getting mad because Ellis is mentioning Atlanta as a team of interest is just to get money. Not something that will ever be real. If Dwight is going anyone with CP3, it will not be here.
  13. Pretty much. It's Dwight and CP3 or tank. We need to face it. This KG/Doc trade has made it impossible for CP3 to come to Atlanta by himself. Now with D12, that's still our calling card but we need to face the facts. LAC is a better spot for D12 and CP3 then us. They would have depth like JT, Lee, and Jamal. They could still trade for Granger if they wanted to. They would have a good PF in KG who is still a good player. They would have two superstars in CP3 and D12. They can offer D12 and CP3 max which we can't offer since we have to be under the cap to sign both players and they don't. Now what we have is simple. We have the fact that Blake is just a Vince Carter highlight reel type of player who isn't build for the playoffs. He's a PF who doesn't defend well. He will never be that impactful and Lebron isn't going to choose LAL with Blake over Cleveland or Miami. On top of that, they turn LAC into superpowers. That just will never happen. It would be in their best interest for that never to happen for LAL. So I think we are still at a major advantage over LAC simply because of the LA factor like it was for ORL and us with D12. It is like trading Melo for Joe Johnson because you better get something instead of nothing. Capspace>>>>Mediocrity especially if you are a extremely marketable franchise like the Lakers.
  14. On top of that they got a top 3 pick, they have two potential superstars and they have decent bigs. The Wiz are in a superior position compared to the Hawks. Really the Hawks are in the best position in the NBA. LAL own D12 and it would be retarded to trade him to LAC regardless of what ESPN says. Atlanta has money for two max deals and have a top 15-20 player in Horf. They have draft picks and solid young role players but they are also in the worst position in sports. They strike out and they are locked in at 6th to 8th seed with 9th and 10th seed being a possiblity but being terrible is not one. So it's really tough to be honest. Extremely tough.
  15. We have an amazing team for stars to join but we have an average team if this what we are going into next year with alone. This team will get us stuck at 7th or 8th seed or worse, the dreaded 9th seed.
  16. I am telling you. It's a fact, Contending>>>>>>>Tanking>>>>>In the middle. What do you have to look forward to when your players are vet. It's clear they aren't good enough, you are capped out or you can't sign nobody. Look at Utah, they are closer to tanking but they have young players who can be All Star level studs, decent draft picks, and nice young core. Heyward, Favors, and Kanter. They can resign Millsap and draft Larkin and they could have one of the best young teams in the NBA. Look at the Bucks. They are in the middle. Jennings, Ellis, and Sanders are their core. They are a playoff team in the East but are they a good team or will they become a good team? No. This is the middle of the road. They have no shot of contending and no core. Look at the Hawks. Smoove, Teague and Horford. Horford is the best player but he can't really create his own shot. Smoove is a good role player with great talent and terrible decision making skills, and Teague is a talented combo guard with little PG skills. This team is going no where. They are in the middle. Attendance is bad and no one likes watching them play. Al is out of position and they don't have a PG who can create offense for Al. Just a bad good team. Remember, Charles Barkley said that after our game v. Toronto who is another team that is in the middle but at least they are still close to tanking. Atlanta isn't and that's a problem.
  17. It's worked out great for Charlotte. Their attendance is up and they are very hyped this time of the year for the last two years. This is when their season starts. The season sucked but they seen what type of competitor MKG is. They are going into the draft looking for impact players and they are a lock to suck again next year in a deep class. Charlotte is doing just fine.
  18. If we don't land CP3 and Dwight
  19. No brainer. I can't be mad at what Boston is doing. It's a great tanking formula.
  20. He became less effiecent, more turnover prone and his value wasn't a pure positive. I am sorry but I don't see a big jump for Teague. He looked like the same player who shows flashes but is a horrible natural PG. More of a combo guard.
  21. Who would trade them someone of value for BG is the question? They would just get nickels on a dollar.
  22. 2014 (Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Harrison's and C-Stein) 2015 (Okafor, Towns, Jones, Winslow) Great years to tank.
  23. When you trade your best player for a prospect, that's generally what happens.
  24. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Contending>>>>>>>Tanking>>>>>>>>>>In the middle. There is no growth in the middle. There is no where to go. Not up, maybe down but you can't go up. That is a terrible position to take running an organzation. If I was BK, I would have fired everyone and cut Bob Sura for taking us out of the tanking for D12 sweepstakes. We could have tanked again, landed CP3 and signed Joe Johnson and we would have had a squad of CP3 Joe ??? Smoove Dwight Damnit man.
  25. I chance to land to Wiggins, Randle, and Parker is just much more attractive to me than watching Jeff Teague attempt to run an offense and we finished 7th or 8th in the East to get killed by Chicago or Miami and get stuck with the 16 or 17 pick in the draft.
