  1. Aisk has him by a couple of inches, he can protect the rim and he's a soft compared to Evans but outside of that, similar players.
  2. We can SnT him now though for assets.
  3. Kris Humprhies and 1st 2014 is far more attractive SnT than Aisk if we miss on D12.
  4. I agree, why the hell would we say that when we are trying to sign D12 ourselves? Terrible rumor.
  5. He has 21 followers and he's from Houston. You sure this is what Houston wants and not Atlanta. I would hate for Atlanta to do this in the middle crap again. Tank or hit a home run. No more being Milwaukee Bucks South.
  6. Iggy looked great in a role where he was a role player for team USA. He fit and just did things like play D, score at times, shoot a open three and he was great in that role. An offense like Karl's requires everyone to do a bit of everything. Iggy isn't that type of player. In Philly, he was their PG and #1 option. He didn't fit that role either.
  7. Boston wants him too. Our only chance at resigning Josh is landing D12. Also Iggy talked about wanting to be in a better role that fits his game but no one out there fits that title but if D12 comes to ATL. That will change.
  8. No less than the max with any team. Houston, LA, and ATL can offer max. The difference is, Houston can barely offer the max. LA only can offer it due to the fact that they have his rights, and ATL can offer the max and still have enough to sign someone for around 8-10 million dollars.
  9. Signing D12 is very sexy. A top 3 player when healthy who can change your franchise future is very attractive. We will get 20.5 million. That's just the way it is. The believe that he will take 15.4 to play with CP3 is out the window now.
  10. Any vet min we sign with over 7 years of exp will cost as much as either one of these players. We can sign a rookie for the min at 490k but why sign Adonis or Kyle Weems who will NEVER see the court when we can sign Dennis who could possibly start and be successful or sign Bebe who has potential to be good center in three-five years.
  11. I felt Ferry drafted them because he felt that they had fit his plan and system and he liked them. From his pressers, it seemed that way. Not signing them wouldn't really clear up much cap space. They are 2.74 million combined coming into 2013-14. It's not really enough to move the needle persay.
  12. You think we can get Calderon for the room exception? I would rather him than Devin but I don't see him as a room exp type of player.
  13. That is true but you said we won't sign them, that part isn't true. It's an option, not a reality. We really don't know what Ferry will do. Either way, we have to convince D12 to come to Atlanta. I think we can but it will be tough. Houston is a serious challenger. They have youth, talent, and a nice cool city. The Hawks have size, youth, a budding culture, and fit. Korver is a perfect fit for D12. Horf is a perfect fit for D12. We don't yet about Dennis and Devin as well as Jeff. Not sure how good a fit Josh is with D12 in the NBA but in AAU, they fit well.
  14. Sorry but I can buy this statement at all. I haven't heard otherwise but if you want to build a roster with the international rookies at all, you are free to do that. I don't even think Dennis and Bebe are under contract in Europe right now.
  15. JTB and Dolfan Here is the Teague conundrum Let's say we want to resign Jeff for 5-6 mil for a year. That would have to get Iggy or Smoove to take 8 mil at the most in their first year. We can't resign Korver and we would have to start Jenkins which isn't bad. With this roster, we can resign Teague but it will be at the sacrifice of money from Iggy and Smoove and no resigning of Korver. Teague 5-6 Jenkins 1.25 Iggy or Smoove 8 Horford 12 D12 20.5 Bench Lou 5.2 Bebe 1.38 Schröder 1.42 Scott 788k Mack 794k Cunningham 1.2 Mike M. 450k This is how we can resign Teague and keep Smoove or sign Iggy.
  16. We would have to get rid of everyone just to make the salary cap and sign 7 rookie contracts and even then that's barely possible as they would total just at 58.5. That's not likely. Highly unlikely. Look at this for example: Schröder 1.42 Korver 3 Iggy or Smoove 8/9/10 Horford 12 D12 20.5 Bench Lou 5.2 Bebe 1.38 Jenkins 1.25 Scott 788k Mack 794k Cunningham 1.2 Mike M. 450k Here is a plus: We still have the room exception and we can use it to resign Devin Harris. We can start him if Dennis not ready. Around 56-58 million dollars.
  17. Harris at 2-2.5 mil>>>Teague for the MLE. Both are average PG's. One is a lot cheaper and can give our future franchise PG some time to learn if he needs it. Sorry man, but I don't buy into Teague being a starter for the Hawks. I been ready for two years for him to go and I am completely ready for him to go. Look at their adv stats and overall impact. Harris has more impact per his mins played. Now Teague played a lot more mins so it's skewed but he performed with improvement, not with a drop off in production. Jeff gets outproduced by his opponent. I am not sold and will never be sold on Jeff as a starting PG.
  18. If Manu is elite, so is Joe Johnson. You are right, we don't have the same idea of what elite is. To me, D. Wade career wise has been elite. One of the all time greats at SG. I see that with Jerry West, Kobe, and MJ.
  19. Remember, we can't get Iggy and Smoove and land D12. We also have to choose between Iggy, Smoove, and Teague. Honestly, if D12 signs and we go with Iggy or Smoove, that means we will need to bring Devin Harris back. Remember, with D12 signed for 20.5, we can ONLY sign one of Teague, Iggy, and Smoove. Also Korver has to be resigned as well. We need his off the ball shooting and spot up shooting with D12 as well as his high BBIQ and reliably of not missing defensive rotations.
  20. Their style, athletic ability, roles and what not. Like JaVale McGee would struggle in FIBA. The role that Bebe could play in the NBA is possible for him to succeed. In Europe, that role is more limited because you need actual skill in Europe, not just athletic ability and a role.
  21. Allen wasn't elite. He was never elite unless you are talking about scoring and shooting but overall he wasn't. Clyde is Clyde, I was never a huge Drexler fan but I did think he was very good. A.I. is elite talent, he was elite as a player for 2-3 years but that's was it. Wade carried that team often during that season. Shaq was regressing that season, not just in those Finals.
  22. It's because of the way he plays. Has little PG skills. Has average BBIQ. Doesn't take command of the offense. His teammates don't respect him. He can't run a PnR well at all and get's the screener into foul trouble by lacking timing, patience, or understanding. He uses the PnR to create his own offense like Jamal. His PnR defense is awful at best. His defensive BBIQ is average. He is a talented player. One who could be a top 50 player. But with his lack of PG skills, command of the offense, and PnR defense he might be best as a 25-28MPG super sub instead of a starter for any NBA team.
  23. Manu never carried his team nor did Allen. Honestly, no one other than Wade, Kobe or MJ. Those are elite players. The rest are not elite.
