  1. Honestly Lamar doesn't get enough praise as he should. He is an extremely crafty and smart basketball player. He reminds me of Paul Pierce in their body types and the fact that neither have blow by speed, but make veteran moves to get open. He could provide a lot of good things to the team as a wing and as a PG in short periods of time. With that being said, I also love Ashley, GRIII, and Petteway. If we traded Mack and Scott to keep 3 of these 4 and acquire either a draft pick or a starting quality SF (keep 2 of 4), I would do it. I am honestly rooting for all of these guys, but probably rooting for Ashley the most. Whoever we don't sign, I hope that we can sign in the future.
  2. With the trust and support that the Hawks have built in the locker room, I have no doubt that any player that comes here will have more confidence and a better mindset during a season. With the coaching staff giving players the ability to make mistakes and grow from them, I don't see THJr holding his head down. Plus a tight locker room will give any player more reason to pass and fit into the system. This game does include mental aspects and confidence can really impact a player's performance. I have faith he will have a good season.
  3. If we had made the trade of Shelvin Mack and Mike Scott for Wilson Chandler... Really like Ashley, Patterson, GRIII, and Petteway. Hopefully we can store some of them for next season.
  4. Very nice DMC! Some of you just need to stop acting like he is some bad guy because he took more money to play in Toronto. The Hawks weren't even in the top 6 bidders for him. He has been working hard and deserved to finally get the big paycheck. Congrats DMC and I will be rooting for you!
  5. Anyone know where Jarrell Eddie is playing for SL if he is? Was impressed with him last season in pre season and think his shooting could offer some value for us.
  6. If you have never started a game before, you can never start one in the future (sarcasm) What I saw from Bazemore in the CLE series was very promising in my eyes. He was outplaying a lot of players deemed better than him. He has a lot of heart and is always at Atlanta Hawks events. I think he could play some spot minutes at SF, but he is too small to play it full time. If he can work on his shot and handles, he could be a very good player for us. Remember, this will be his first full off season with our team. I expect good things from him next season.
  7. I watch a lot of Big Ten basketball. We need to stay away from Sam Dekker. He has done absolutely nothing before this tournament run. He disappears for games. Not an impact player even in college. He is a 2nd round player and if he stayed one more season, he would be drafted in 2nd round next season. Now he is some edge lottery guy, totally laughable.
  8. Fan of a Big Ten team, and I hope to God that the Hawks stay away from Dekker. He is a bust waiting to happen. At best, he is a role player or a decent player off the bench. I guarantee if he stayed one more season instead of coming out early, he would be a 2nd round pick next season. He simply vanishes for long periods. Sure he had a great tournament, but outside of that, he has done literally nothing his entire career. He shows a few flashes a game maybe than he is unheard of and has no impact on plays for multiple minutes and even sometimes multiple games. Would be disappointed if we drafted him. I like Christian Wood and Kevin Looney. Wood is extremely athletic and he can provide that shot altering player that we need. He has good range and he has great handles. He fits perfectly into our scheme, but needs to add some more weight to his frame. Great on the offensive glass too and rebounding in general.
  9. More like "We The East"
