  1. Well for comparison Tony Parker has averaged 7 assists only twice in his career. Do you see him as a balhog? On the other hand, Westbrook last year averaged 10 assists, what do you feel about him?
  2. Maybe like Tony Parker and Ginobili.
  3. He does help them on defense and offense. But he doesn't dominate in any specific area that can help them get over the top aside from the mid range. Also they should be a worse rebounding team since they lost Evan Turners 5 and Jared Sullingers 8.3 (in 23 minutes). And we should be top 2 in rebounding by adding Dwight Howard and since OKC should have a big dropoff in that department. Looking forward to a better transition offense on our side this year and more Kyle Korver fast break threes. Last year - 42.1 Projection this year - (Minus Horford plus Howard) - 48.5 That's a huge jump and there's other factors besides personnel, but we should see number close to this.

  7. I'm trying not to put too much expectations on him. But he could be the 2016 Jimmy Butler that people passed on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0PZi3EwJXo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rWUigP7-Xc
  8. I am comparing our two rookies to players in the NBA during their college careers to get a bit of an estimate of how good they can be if things go in our favor. I think Bembry is similar to players like Andre Igoudala and Evan Turner being that he is a 2/3 who can handle the ball and create for others. The main difference is that he is less athletic than a young Igoudala but has a more versatile offensive game. But he is also more athletic than Evan Turner and a better defender. I would like to add in Jimmy Butler but I want to see how much of a post up game he has before adding that in. I hear its pretty good. Prince is hard to tell. To me, he is the kind of player that can be chiseled into something great or be average. Coming out of college he has a NBA ready body and a decent jump shot and has the potential to be a good post up player at the wing. Most people say that he is going to be the next Demarre Carroll. I think that he could be somewhere between Harrison Barnes and Kawhi Leonard. He is very similar to them when they were coming out of college physically and unlike Leonard he has a pretty good jump shot ( Leonard was a terrible college three point shooter). The main difference is that Prince isn't as athletic as either of them and that could hinder him from being as good. I am not saying he is unathletic, but from what I've seen he is a good lob target, but isn't a guy that posterizes people much. I don't know if its a lack of athleticism or his dribble slowing him down but he can still be a great player.
  9. Its also a good thing that he has some athleticism to go with it
  10. Stats aside, he seems to have a very complete game. Offense and defense. If he gets a better jump shot he could be very good. 1:04 is my favorite
  11. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2663394-power-ranking-all-30-nba-head-coaches-going-into-2016-17-training-camp/page/29 Not bad.
  12. People say that we might be a step down defensively, and even if that is true, I'd rather play slightly worse defense and get the rebound instead of playing hard defense for 24 seconds only to end up with nothing.
  13. http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2016/9/8/12824290/atlanta-hawks-defense-rank-preseason-prediction Doesn't really go into much depth. Just wanted to put that out there.
  14. To be honest, I haven't watched ESPN in at least a year for obvious reasons. I usually just watch Inside the Nba and the Starters cause they are way more entertaining and even though they piss me off sometimes they at least don't have favorites. I also watch this guy on youtube who lives in Atlanta who goes by Legend of Winning and is pretty interesting. https://www.youtube.com/user/BGBL00/videos
  15. Speaking of Dennis, turns out he has some SECRET go to move that hes been working on. starts at 1:38

  17. I've been traveling for the past few months and didn't watch much of the last 2 rounds of the playoffs.
  18. Just found out that he averaged 3.6 rebounds against the cavs in the second round. Thats embarrassing
  19. Its mind boggling how moving Horford from ATL to Boston makes them number 2 in the East. I am not taking anything away from Brad Stevens, but wasn't Evan Turner a big part of their success? Millsap v Horford - Draw Howard v Johnson - Howard Bazemore v Crowder - Bazemore Korver v Bradley - Bradley( Each have thier own strengths so it could be a toss up for other people) Schröder v Thomas - undecided, even though Thomas can light it up, he is a big liability on defense I also think the addition of Jarrett Jack will be huge as a locker room presence. Demarre and Elton Brand were the locker room leaders for the 60 win team and alot of people say Jarret Jack is a great mentor and leader. The spurs were keeping Matt Bonner on their bench for the past few years just because he was such a good locker room presence. I know I always draw comparisons between us and them, but they are the model franchise in probably all american sports.
  20. But Millsap is better than Aldridge and Schröder is better than Parker on defense.
  21. Hey, its been a while since I've been on this site, been busy traveling but now I'm back and have some stuff on my mind. After signing Dwight Howard everyone is convinced that while the rebounding and shot blocking will increase, the defense will fall down a notch or two. I don't see how that will happen since we have Dwight Howard as our rim protector. I know what Al Horford brought to the Hawks with his mobility and switching ability, because of the versatility displayed by him and Paul Millsap the team was able to preform quick and efficient defense by covering for each other. But this was exploited by smart teams that shot a lot of threes. I think this seasons defense will be more similar to the spurs defense of last year, which was Kawhi and Danny Green chasing opposing players off the three point line and funneling them towards the rim with Tim Duncan and Lamarcus Aldridge waiting there. This forced teams to take more pull up mid range jumpers which is the most inefficient shot to take for most players. The video below goes into more depth of the spurs defense. I know we don't have a Kawhi Leonard (fingers crossed Taurean Prince) but i think that the team can implement this defense since they have a better rim protector now
  22. Speaking of Jaylen Brown, heard that he is supposedly very smart and has been taking graduate level courses as a freshman
  23. They wouldn't want him, one of the reasons they lost to OKC was because of their lack of rebounding from the bench. Why would they want that to spill over into the staring lineup? I think thier best shot is getting Mike Conley and Joakim Noah( Only if Duncan retires though) plus the article looks a little poorly written if you ask me
