I'm so impressed with what I've seen from Jalen on the defensive end this season. Heck, everything he's brought to the table.

Yeah, not dogging the game at all, overall well played. Just noting his efficiency was on par with what those three cited players are averaging this year.
Was @AHF arguing that Trae was as efficient as them for the season or someone calling a game where Trae had a true shooting percentage in the 60's inefficient?
It seems like you are debating him on something he did not say.

I feel like i've been defending Hunter some this off season. his D is very good but he was awful last night on the offensive side of things. Even made some bonehead defensive plays but boy he cannot pass or dribble in traffic at all. I'm starting to get frustrated with that. Hopefully he can return to early season form soon.
Great win though. DJ has been great all year. hopefully things start clicking.
I'll attribute that to the dislocated finger on his shooting hand.
The dribble is what it is at this point. I like that he is at least attacking the basket much more and making some cuts. I'll attribute that to Quinn.

Don't look now, but Jalen outplayed Mr. Banchero.

He's still a chucker, 5-15 3pt, 25 shots and we inched by a beat up Magic team with his best performance. Cmon man. And yes Trae thinks this whole Mexico trip was about him but he put on a show

lol I'm done with this trash ass media. I would say national media, but NBA gametime isn't big enough to be considered National. All they are doing is talking about how Trae is basically selfish and can't get his teammates going when he has it going.
Any other star drops 41 on good efficiency they'd be praised. They also said he was doing cardio on defense, but tonight I thought he still showed more effort and played good positional basketball. He wasn't the main reason the defense was bad tonight.

It wasn't pretty, but they got the W!
5-3 great fight. This was a tough game.
We needed all of Trae's 41.
Jalen is really turning into something!

on a scale of oh everyone look at me to really really stupid, how moronic/grandstanding is it that the NBA doesn't schedule any games today?
oooooohhh we're sooooooooooo progressive we can't even have games today cause like everyone knows it takes hours upon hours to vote. But hey, look how progressive we are!!!! Go eat a bag of dicks NBA.
Is it that they are progressive or they've noticed their ratings dip on voting days and just do it for PR purposes?

We just shot the ball poorly. Shit happens. Congrats to OKC. On to Mexico City
This is where I'm at. The Hawks missed a ton of open looks. The three balls needs to get around 36% for this offense to truly take off.

Watched the game on delay tonight. The Ballysports app crapped out with like 3 minutes to go.
This was a very solid team win. New Orleans has been a top 5 defense this year I believe and the Hawks dropped 123 on them easily with an injured Dre and the three not falling.
The defense this game impressed me the most. The Hawks are having really good defensive quarters whereas last year that would rarely happen.
Trae - There's a debate in this thread about him. All I know is he's playing some really good defense this season and that's all I care about. His shots will start falling and he's going to be right were his normal average is, around 25 pts and 10+ assists again.
DJ - People will focus on his offense, but his defense and rebounding were great this game. This season he's really stepped up on the defensive end and that's what the Hawks really need if they expect to not be in the play-in.
Dre - I didn't expect much from him offensively after the finger injury, but I'm loving the effort this season. He's rebounding at a much higher rate than year's past.
JJ - Mannnn! Where do I begin. Nate should be in Jail! You can literally see this kids confidence growing and the shooting has been a plus. I'm looking forward to see if he can turn into an All-star caliber player.
Clint - Fantastic game. No missed bunnies and the defense was great.
OO - Finally locked up his bugaboo Valanciunas. Great game from him and getting his first couple of threes of the season.
Bey - Really plays hard.
Bogi - Off night, but stepped up when the Hawks were reeling.
AJ - No minutes. Hopefully Quin has a development plan for him and he's not out of Quin's good graces.
Quin - Brought a modern offensive and defensive system to our young team and it's like night and day. Starting to believe we won't be in the play-in this year, but don't want to get ahead of myself. Last year really broke my faith in the Hawks.
Sorry for the novel.

Yeah, I like them too.
Am I the only one not really excited about this? I guess the newness of it, but the format doesn't really make much sense to me. Maybe it's just me because I haven't read up on it.

Bro, didn't know you were try-lingual.
And this bally mess is completely embarrassing. Folks are legitimately getting screwed for what they paid for. This is essentially highway robbery.
I'm about to write these mfers and tell them I want every cent of my money back for the days I do not have service. This is completely unacceptable.
Edit: In my rage, I didn't spell it correctly. LMAO

I'd just sign him in the off season. Did the Pistons pick up his option? If not, that would be a solid signing for back up center with some upside. Trae would make him better than what we've seen with other teams, but I'm not sure of the cost of $12 million this year. I'd like to keep Patty around for his leadership.

5 games into last season I was complaining.
I'm aware...lol.
It's not like Quin has eliminated the midrange either. They still seem to be shooting a ton relative to other teams, but the player and ball movement is night and day. It's probably because Quin let's anyone initiate the offense, but Nate's system always had the guards doing it.

Rewatching the highlights of the game, the spacing Dejounte and Trae have to work with is night and day between last year and this year. I now see why you guys disliked Nate's offensive scheme so much.

The 8/9 man rotation is still learning Quin's offense and defense. When they've mastered it, our W/L record, we may see more players. It's a long season.
I was thinking about this last night. I agree 100%. Quin's playing the guys more early so they get comfortable in his system. Once they do and hopefully the wins are piling up, he'll expand his rotation to keep everyone fresh for the playoffs. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself with the playoff talk though.

Hawks lose first two games...17+ pages
Hawks win their third game in a row... 9 pages
Tell me we have "fans" without telling me we have "fans"...
Some of that has to do with the Bally app crashing the last two games for most of us.

That fourth quarter defensive effort was horrendous. The win was never in doubt though.
Seems like the Hawks put in two dominate quarters and then coast. That's a big improvement from the past few seasons, but got to finish better. Quin is going to have a lot teach on in an otherwise blowout win.

Hunter still can’t dribble against ball pressure I see.
Should have gave the ball up with the quickness..lol
They are still showing me something. Last year, against clearly inferior teams, they'd be close going into the fourth quarter and find a way to lose. I'm loving the offensive and defensive scheme Quin is installing.
Finish this fourth strong and get this dub.

The one thing I honestly need Trae to improve on is to not relax when we get 20 point leads. Have that freaking killer instinct. If we're up 20, get it up to 30. Up 30 get it up to 40.

The one thing I'm loving this early season is the Hawks are starting to string together quarters where they are beating their opponents by 10+ points. That is the key to winning a lot of regular season games and what good teams tend to do..
