  1. Meh. I want nothing to do with Ingram. Any insider rumblings about Bridges being available?

    murray + oo to NO

ingram + Daniels + frp to BKN

    bridges to ATL

figure out a backup center via fa, trade or draft. Bridges fits what we want to do much better than ingram. And he doesn’t miss 30% of every season.

  2. My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek on the brothers - tho history seems to lean towards supporting my opinion … it’s just an observation.

I really just don’t believe in Cody as a prospect. If his brother wasn’t Jalen, is he even in consideration as a lottery pick?

cody has not impacted the game in a meaningful way. He’s kind of average in everything with not even a “good” trait at this stage. Banking on a similar development curve as his outlier brother seems like a mistake to me.  Throw on top of that how much improvement and strength needs to be added to his frame while not losing any athleticism has me in the camp of I’m not touching that guy in the top 20.

  3. 1) Castle. That’s as far as I’ve gotten.

for the Cody Williams believers - can someone sell me on why he breaks the mold of brothers in the NBA? If there are brothers in the league - it’s almost 100% that 1 will be significantly better than the other. Jalen Williams is better than Cody. Due to my exactly inexact science of the history of bros in the NBA - why will Cody be anything other than - at best - an average bench player? Not worth a top 10 pick.

the balls are really the only ones I can remember that broke the trend.

OO averaged 16.1 PPG and 8.5 RPG as a starter this year on a 66.3% FG and 45% 3P.  TS% was 72.3 on 15.2 USG.

He’s fully capable - agree. But availability is the best ability. If we can use him to upgrade our roster I’m all for it. Let someone else take the injury risk.

Which is also why I’m fully opposed to going after B Ingram.

  5. @KB21sending positive thoughts your way - hope everything is ok.

I have serious concerns with OO. Not for His talent. He’s had 1 season of 4 where he exceeded 55 games. At what point is he considered unreliable? Guy is always banged up. He’s gone 50 - 48 - 80 - 55.

And for that reason, I hope we move on to someone more reliable. I do think OO would get back some good value as he is a really good piece … when he plays.

Edey is going to dominate Burns lol... that guy has fulfilled all his potential but he's not a special basketball talent.  My guess is NC state will be put away before half time.  Purdue has enough tape to not double Burns and let him kill you with passing and Edey will be able to handle him fine 1on1.  Love NC States run but I'll be shocked if they win the next one.

I’m not sold. Burns is a powerful dude who may surprise you in how he matches up with Edey. Stop him? No. Not at all. But I want to see if Edey is able to push his way around a bigger guy like that too.

  7. I know there is the height advantage, but I can’t wait to see when Burns goes up against Edey on Saturday. not sure what the game plan will be - but I want to see if Edey is able to keep It up against someone as strong as Burns is.

if they matchup quite a bit, and Edey continues the dominance, I may start being swayed into buying in on him as a pro. I just see him bully a lot of smaller guys in ways that won’t work as a pro.

  8. The only true 5 I would want in the draft is Clingan, but I will always avoid big men with injury histories. Clingan when he plays is fantastic. All the other 5s … meh

id trade both of our picks to get Castle if I could. He just makes winning plays. And man, he has so much untapped potential.

I could watch hours on loop of him working through picks on defense. I wish our current roster would too 😕

I think I figured it out, turr'l.  LAL picking him up is step 1 to their Trae Trade Plan ("TTP").

Now that they have Dinwiddie, it's him and Christian Wood plus picks in 2033, 2037, 2045 .... for Trae and OO.

"Thassa good deal for Attlanta's rebuild." - eggspert1

"Oh yeah, those post-Lebron picks in 2045 are gonna be like NBA gold." - eggspert2

Yall know my sarcasm is not far off either.

Still not including reeves I see. This feels to real.

  10. New Orleans is not a destination. They would be wise to have top talent locked in long term.

They would have DJM / Zion / OO locked up for the next 4 years. DJM / Hawkins / Herb / Zion / OO for the next 3. That’s  really solid core locked in for multiple years. Plus whatever they do with Murphy and CJ for the next 2.

Ingram expires after next year. Does he even want to resign? I thought I heard a rumor he was unhappy there.

if there is a deal, it is centered around Ingram / Daniels / Pick(s) imo. NO is playing well though, so this feels like an offseason deal if anything.

edit to add … can’t wait to see 50M+ on the bench for 30%+ of the season between Ingram and Hunter if that is a deal.

  11. Salary matching with the pelicans will be challenging.

They’d either have to include Nance (yay another undersized C) or maybe they consider McCollum to a 3rd team with assets coming to ATL? McCollum has been great for them so idk if that’s something they want to entertain tho.

I’m betting this is clickbait and it’s not legit. On to the next rumor. Only ~1 day to go!

  12. If our only potential trade is AJ for Okoro - then I hope we stand pat.  even if Okoro is an upgrade for now - he will be signing a $10M+ contract next year. I’d rather bank on AJ bouncing back at a cost controlled level for another 2 years.

Maybe we can swing mills + 2nd for Joe Ingles. He  at least knows quin and is an expiring contract so we can free up cap space in the off season and all go back to pretending that ressler will actually go into the LT until he doesn’t.

  13. So Draymond has the right kind of edge and is therefore not a problem.

Dillon Brooks is a dog and is someone you want around your locker room.

Bridges is a desired trade target with no locker room concerns.

Portis breaks teammate jaw but he is great.

Morant does what morant does but boy does Memphis like  him.
