  1. So Draymond has the right kind of edge and is therefore not a problem.

Dillon Brooks is a dog and is someone you want around your locker room.

Bridges is a desired trade target with no locker room concerns.

Portis breaks teammate jaw but he is great.

Morant does what morant does but boy does Memphis like  him.

I would like to find a way to get Ryan Dunn (UVA) on this team next year. Thanks Landry.

Was playing with the bartovik site today - just to see some statistical comps for this guy, and thought I'd share (I get it ... it's numbers, and I can make them say whatever story I want them to. It's still impressive).

Over the last 15 years, 4 players have had a statistical profile with the following criteria ... Off Reb % > 10%, Def Reb % > 20%, Block % > 10%, Steal % > 2%, Assist > 5%, TS% > 60%, and was a Freshmen or Sophomore  ... Ryan Dunn, Walker Kessler, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid. He's  a big wing putting up numbers some of the best defensive centers coming out over the last 15 years put up and scoring at a very efficient level (even with a poor 3P / FT %). Change that steal rate to > 3%? It's him on the list alone.

Needless to say I'm a huge fan.

Bey is not a not a PF. He's only a PF in Quin's system.

He’s a tweener. Full time 4? No. He really shouldn’t be starting in general. But He could play up to a 4 with OG for 4-6 weeks waiting for Randle to get back.

I think people can look at Bey’s whole career and get on board with him being a hustle guy and offensive add to their team (I know he has slumped very badly over the last month or so).  But I have a hard time thinking any team would view him as a replacement starter PF at this point.  I’d take that if offered for sure.

Oh I agree. I really like Bey … off the bench. Was just thinking as a stop gap for them until Randle is back, and then move him back to his bench role.

  5. I tend to agree with AHF on this one ... I don't see how Bufkin ever is a viable starter alongside Trae given size.

I said this when we drafted him ... I think that Snyder feels like he's a more well rounded version of Jordan Clarkson. Future 6MOY type player. He's the Bogi replacement imo. And the way they have him playing in the GL furthers my belief they are trying  to develop that skillset.

How do you figure that's good?

Harris is a FA to be.  Black is tall and thin... and hasn't shown much... and those two first round picks are Late.  Orlando will be good with Murray and Banchero.  Denver is Denver.    How does this help us?  We give up a guy who is signed for the next 5 years... for a rebuilding program.

You are clearly not as high on Black as I am. I think he’s a fantastic fit at the 2 long term next to a guy like trae.

and by the end of this season we will have 2 additional FRP + a recent top 10 pick we can look to trade for a star. Harris is salary filler and gives us more offseason flexibility. I’d rather see an Isaac than Harris, I was just relaying what was on the other site.

  7. Someone posted something over on RealGM that I thought was interesting and leave us tradeable assets + cap space in the off season if we want to turn it into a star.

    Murray / Griffin

    for

Anthony Black / Gary Harris / ‘24 ORL FRP (protected?) / ‘25 DEN FRP (top 5)

like I said weeks ago he asked out. There is no plans to retain him. Could he survive the deadline sure but he won’t be surviving the summer. I think they try to put Dre and Clint who nobody in league values in a djm deal.

Interesting - but that sounds like a deal you make over the summer for a max type player that didn’t go as far in the playoffs and the other team wants to reset / re tool.

like a KAT as has been discussed or a Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, etc.

  9. I think it’s pretty obvious at this point we sorely miss Hunter. Primarily due to the lack of wing depth we have on this team. Utter failure by the FO; particularly if they knew AJ would get no burn going into the season. Your wing rotation is a known injury prone player + Bey + Johnson (injury risk in his own right) + Gary Bird + Old Man Wes. Just pure incompetence.

not sure how anyone can argue that we wouldn’t have more wins with him healthy. But alas that’s part of the Hunter package at this point. The injuries are the only reason I’d be ok moving on from Hunter. Otherwise I appreciate what he does for us - even if he frustrates me at times. Maybe that’s the lack of depth talking tho.

  10. Bogi ... How are you so convinced you didn’t touch that? First look appears you clearly did. Let’s hope my eyes deceived me.

edit: here’s to needing glasses. Good call bogi. Had all the confidence in the world in you.

  11. Why do I feel like Landry has guys leaking all these offers to random media outlets. And then they post it like it’s fact. So we all believe we are going to accept a trash offer.

so when Landry ends up accepting a slightly less bad (but still bad) offer he can try to spin it like a win so he can show how great he is at his job.

I hope we keep Murray at this point. Capela, Hunter and Bogi can all go.
