Yup! While some want to bemoan this draft, this is actually a great draft for Atlanta to win the top pick. Both Alex Sarr and Zaccharie Risacher are tremendous fits alongside Trae. A switch big do everything defensive anchor and a 3 and D floor spacing wing.

Both Sarr and Risacher fit with JJ. Clingan should not be in the mix.

Yep. Two players that I’ve always said would be the best fitting players to put around Trae are Jaren Jackson Jr and Michael Porter Jr. it’s the shooting for both. Their ability to space the floor would open up Trae on his drives. Sarr is in that Jaren Jackson archetype. The thing with Jalen Johnson is that he could legitimately be a Ben Simmons with a jumper archetype. They still need a floor spacing wing who is of the three and D archetype and a POA defending big guard.

You should listen to Brad’s latest podcast with Tyler Jones. It’s good. Tyler made a great point. If Sarr had played at Kentucky this past season instead of the NBL, he’s probably drawing comps to Anthony Davis and is the consensus pick. He also said that if Buzelis and Holland had played in college this year instead of with Ignite, which was a disaster, they are probably the clear cut second and third picks with a completely different outlook on both.
