  1. guitar hero controllers are fully compatible with rock band. I can only speak for the 360, as it is all I have, but that's been their blanket statement since before Rock Band was released and I see no reason why it would be any different for the ps2.

Rock Band controllers will not work with Guitar Hero though.

  2. RENT RENT RENT and MORE RENT. Do not buy games for this system unless you know they are games you want. Otherwise you will end up with a library of games that you've played for 2 hours and put on a shelf to collect dust.

    Games I can recommend:

    Super Mario Galaxy

    Resident Evil 4

    for groups or family:

    Rayman Raving Rabids

You might enjoy Warioware or Wiiplay, but both were firmly in the 2-4 hour catagory mentioned below.

that's about it.. I can give you a huge list of other games that were fun for 2-4 hours, or simply took that long to complete.

  3. They fixed "the problem" ie, overheating. A random unit with random drive problems is hardly out of the ordinary for any system. If he's having problems with the same disc then it's likely the disc, not the console. If it's doing it in multiple games, then yes, you would probably want to get it fixed.

  4. It's possible to have a playoff and still cater to the history of the bowl games without losing anything. I think that a big part of the reason why a playoff system is being ignored is because of the payouts, but a system where the playoffs essentially become the major bowl games would generate so much interest and money, it would easily top what we have today. Then you have a legit system to determine the best team out of the top 8 and the rest of the teams play their ranked bowl games as they do today. The level of interest it would generate would surpass the superbowl!

  5. I don't think so because there are enough teams that are better than them that they won't win 70, not to mention the games they will lose to bad teams. They've yet to play San Antonio, Pheonix, or Dallas, all of which are better IMO. I think Detroit is a better team and Orlando obviously matches up well with them. I'd say they'll end up low 60's, because as the season wears on teams will learn to play them better. other teams will also improve and I'm not sure Boston is really going to get any better than they are, considering the lack of depth and set rotations they have there's not a lot of room for younger guys to step up, which is where the improvement usually comes from.

  6. Quote:

You do what is best for yourself and your family - period.

That statement simply doesn't apply here. Petrino did nothing for the betterment of his family and it was only to his betterment because it was an easy way out of a situation he simply wasn't man enough to deal with. He bailed because he's a coward with low character and no sense of honor.

Everyone outside of Arkansas knows Petrino for what he is now and I hope it destroys recruiting at that school. What kid or parent is going to listen to him talk about making a committment to his team and the whole generic sports rah-rah crap about being part of a team and fighting together and all that, when you've got Petrino, the coward, sitting there delivering it? Likely only the ones that have no other options.

  7. you would be one of the few to think that any of the new "dead" movies is better than 28 days. Without 28 days, those movies never would have been remade, which they didn't need in the first place. Zombies don't run! That entire concept makes those movies so stupid as to be hardly viewable and to any fan of the genre (or horror movies in general) it it's painfully obvious that they were just trying to cash in on the premise of 28 days using an established name.

also, in 28 days, they aren't zombies, they're infected.

also, you say that 28 days was predictable towards the end. I can only assume you mean the last 20 minutes, where they meet the soldiers and it becomes pretty obvious what they want. Before that I know good and well you had no idea where the story was going.

  8. I agree and to be honest, I never once felt like we weren't in control of the outcome. The game had its ups and downs but the feeling from the crowd just wasn't one of those "oh here we go again" games. I felt we knew we had it and the crowd knew we had it.

Also I have to give props to JJ for bringing us out to the game last night and spending some time with us afterwards. It was a blast. I'll put up a few pics later on.

ok here's a pic of myself, JJ and a buddy that went with me.
