Really don’t want to lose AJ and OO for Siakam. That would suck.

Any chance we end up with both Siakam and Brown from this trade?

Trying to wrap my head around why Portland would want a 30 year old Siakam to add around Scoot and Sharpe instead of draft assets…especially after just signing Grant.

Like why is Toronto even part of this trade?

Maybe Grant is part of it too and 1 year of Siakam is more attractive to Portland?

Can’t imagine that JJ would be the glue holding this trade together. If you swap him out for a 1st, gut says it wouldn’t kill things.

It’s a steep price for sure. I’m 50/50 on it now that I’m thinking about it more.

I don’t see Dame relinquishing on his Miami demand tho and that’s the key here.

Boston is just as good as Miami on the court, but FL has that no state income tax advantage.

Unless there’s a follow up trade that nets us OG, Jaylen, Mikal, or another good wing defender, I’m in favor of keeping Dre.

Rumors suggest this is possible and I’m sure there will be picks involved. Should be coming back to us from Dallas for Capela.

If the Mavs still covet Capela, a 3 team trade would work there.

Raptors host speculated on a Hawks package and the framework was DJM + Bufkin…but just speculation.

The whole Siakam rumor reminds me a lot of the DJM rumor from last summer.

Wonder if we’ll see TyTy and Garuba once that trade is official?

If we trade for Siakam and DJM isn't included, we're taking a huge risk with both Siakam and DJM hitting free agency. To limit our exposure, you almost need DJM to go out in the trade.

And DJM for Siakam ain't it.

Include OG though, and we might be onto something.

I can't determine worth until I see him in Quin's system.

 

The problem I have with this is we'd be going into next summer with 2 of our 3 best players hitting free agency and I don't think that would be wise.

This is the framework I'd consider in a Siakam trade.

It's a very short list of players I would trade DJM for. Siakam is not one of them. OG is. Fill in the holes of draft picks as you wish.
