  1. Lol I actually like Lopez a lot. If the Bucks somehow let him go, he’d be up there on my wish list as well.
  2. KP at $36M and a backup big for around $10M and you’re in the same boat cap wise, but you have a potentially better fit around OO. I don’t know what his next contract will look like, obviously, so just going off the data we have now.
  3. True but we’re also paying $46M between JC and Capela. And I don’t see us paying Cap $21M this year and $22M next year to come off the bench IF we choose to start OO.
  4. You’re not wrong about this team winning the East, but this smaller lineup has also been outmatched so far against Denver’s bigs. Clint also gave them fits. I get what you and @JayBirdHawk are saying about compensation for KP. I’m obviously open to getting him for less than what I proposed lol But I think the challenge the Hawks are going to face is who to pair with OO. Maybe that’s JC, but my personal opinion is we need more size. Wish there was a world where OO and Clint worked together, but so far that hasn’t been seen and I think the time where we have to choose one is getting close as OO is ready to start.
  5. You’re going to ignore the most important factor in all of this, SIZE? Size matters… OO is our Center of the future. Agree? I don’t think there’s much denying that. OO is 6’8”. JC is maybe 6’9”. Pair them in the front court and between a 6’0” (maybe) Trae and 6’4” Murray we’re one of the smallest teams in the NBA…maybe THE smallest. Give me the 7’3” Unicorn all day. And to get something of value, you have to give something of value. Could be 1 pick, could be 2. Idk… But I do know if JC had much value he wouldn’t still be a Hawk.
  6. What do you expect? This whole thread is literally based on rumors and conjectures.
  7. Porzingis also allows you to keep Murray. Porzingis + Murray > KAT And it’s not even that close to be honest.
  8. Would rather have Porzingis, but this would also be intriguing given the above rumor...
  9. You get multiple teams involved to reroute JC and CC and they send the picks to Wash.
  10. They’re a year too late, but works out for us they didn’t go for Wemby. Also works for us if they want to rebuild and part ways with Porzingis. Will gladly help them out there!
  11. Almost all his points were assisted too which pairs nicely with Trae’s game. Watch the pick and pop at 3:55 and imagine that with Trae.
  12. Glad to hear we have interest in Porzingis. I’ve been driving that train and mocked him in my offseason thread. There’s no one better (who’s actually available) to pair with OO in the front court imo. He has the size, spacing, and rim protection to be really good here. If you have doubts, go watch the YouTube highlights of our game against Washington where he dropped 43 on us.
  13. I mean I’m not giving them Trae Young. But outside of that, yeah I’m probably good. I remember always hoping guys like Cam, Hunter, Huerter, Collins, etc. would develop into the caliber of player Jaylen Brown IS RIGHT NOW. We never sold high on those guys and they didn’t develop into what we hoped they would be. I have no doubt OO, AJ, and Jalen will be solid NBA players, but I’m not making those same mistakes again. Honestly, I don’t even think these guys will be part of the trade. And if they are, I see only one of them being included. If we have the chance at a player like Jaylen Brown, you have to go for it.
  14. Bringing in a 25+ ppg all-nba hometown kid in his prime is a no-brainer for me.
  15. I think the hand bothered JB a lot against Miami. Don’t discount that. Also, Spo had Trae looking the same way after our series against them last year. Spo is probably the best damn coach in basketball and will run circles around you if you let him. A first year HC was no match. Don’t overreact to this series because he did this same thing to our star last year. It took getting a real mastermind HC ourselves to get it straightened out.
  16. Boston might have just found themselves in a similar situation that we thought we were in after our lost to Miami in last year’s playoffs. Need. More. Playmaking. Funny that Miami is the common theme here.
  17. Brutal. He just needs to be paired with an elite ball handler. i.e.
  18. I don’t think so. Boston has a playmaking problem because they don’t have a true point. JB was forced into more playmaking than he was comfortable with and that’s why he had so many TO’s. You’d have that same problem with Beal, but worse defense. Boston needs to get a point back in a trade.
