  1. I mean the heading is overreactions: Day 1 RealGM OverReactions
  2. Harden had returned with the intention of reacclimating himself with the team, knowing assistant coach Rico Hines—his primary workout trainer—would be traveling along with the rest of the supporting staff, sources say. Initially, staying back was interpreted as a suggestion rather than a mandate, sources say. Harden proceeded to participate in portions of the session with the intention of joining the the team on the flight to Milwaukee that afternoon. After practice, Harden arrived at the fixed-base operator airport to board the team flight, but he was stopped by a security official who notified him that he was not permitted to accompany the team, sources say. – via Chris Haynes @ Bleacher Report Rico Hines, Trade, James Harden, Philadelphia 76ers General manager Elton Brand and head coach Nick Nurse spoke to Harden to explain that the organization prefers he accepts and follows their workout plan, which includes staying at the practice facility while the team is away, sources say. It was expounded that the workout program includes monitoring his measurables and speed with their tracking system, which is located at the facility. The Sixers’ two-way players would also be staying back in Philadelphia with Harden, as well as a trainer with whom he regularly works. Harden, frustrated, departed the airport without further incident, sources say. – via Chris Haynes @ Bleacher Report
  3. We heard a lot from the players and coaches that the focus on training camp was mostly geared to defense, so I guess the habitual Quin offense will take time. Having said that we had too many wide open misses, gotta be better at those.
  4. I can't believe I'm doing this OO's hand comes into view, Hunter's head still turned Still turned He's already past OO as OO is leaning forward towards him
  5. We are talking 2 seconds. At 5 seconds he maybe looking in OO's direction but is behind him, at 6 seconds his head is already turned, OO's hand isn't in an outstretched position as yet, as OO's hand comes into view Hunter head remains turned, at this point he is already ahead of OO's outstretched hand. He never looks back at OO and I definitely didn't see a head shake no. OO is actually leaning forward to try to reach him which means Hunter is already ahead. Sorry bud, this one ain it.
  6. Looks like he didn't see OO to me...and I slowed it down to review.
  7. This is where he has to be more deliberate in calling a specific play to get them back on track.
  8. I'm ready and I'm going to the game, so they had better put on their stomping boots and beat the Knucks!
  9. Same. Part of that is sticking to Quin's scheme when the shots aren't falling. They can't revert to what's come easy. Like Quin said 'it has to become habitual' Agreed. When shots stopped falling, by everyone they got back to what's comfortable in trying to do it themselves. When shots stopped falling it also affected their defense, which I was generally please with the direction. Still lots to work on.
  10. I will have to look back at that. I know @thecampster mentioned Hunter didn't dap him when he subbed in for him.
  11. Yeah but if they don't communicate about about who takes which guy we have this....they both leave a guy open for a practice shot. These are fixable things though.
  12. Missed and/or no communication on defense Missed wide open 3 after a great pass.
  13. Quin On what slowed the offensive rhythm in 2nd and 3rd...the things we know we want to do are not habitual yet and need to keep working: moving the ball early in possessions, not trained the way they need to be yet. Just didn't do the things enough.
  14. But Trae and Murray had too much one on one...my point still stands, I'm concerned about the front courts ability to iniate offense for others. I'm saying JJ should start
  15. Maybe, but I don't think between Dre, Bey and CC we'll get a ton of assists that'll open things up for others.
