  1. I don't mind Burks. I just don't think he's worth the #16 pick. His range is more late 20's pick.
  2. Noel? Big and tough should never be in same sentence. He's tall, I'll give you that. He played 25 games this year, always seem to be knicked up. Pass
  3. I didn't realize how turnover prone he is. 119 TOs this season, compared to CC with 44. That's stone hands territory.
  4. Clint has met 2 of 3 of his contract incentives: 31.9 Defensive % Rebounding rate and 2042 minutes played. He fell waaaaay short on the 3rd with 47.3% from the free throw line (worst since his second season). Clint Capela: He makes an extra $500,000 for finishing with a 30 percent defensive rebounding rate, $500,000 for playing at least 2,000 minutes and $500,000 for shooting at least 65 percent from the free-throw line, according to
  5. No. NBA closed that loop hole. Hawks can't resign him for 1 year.
  6. While it seems more likely than not we trade the pick this year, IF: 1. We kept the pick, what position should we target and who should we select? 2. We trade the pick Capela style (we also traded #16 for him) who should we target for a player upgrade using the following scenarios: -Gallo + #16 = -Bogi + #16 = -Huerter + #16 = -Collins + #16 =
  7. One thought did cross my mind - if we release him and pay his 5, can we then turn around and resign him at a much lower contract. Not sure what the CBA allows @thecampster (And I'm not saying we should fo this)
  8. Zach is scheduled to undergo knee surgery this offseason. I'll just leave it at that.
  9. I know, I kept it that way since if traded it would be at the guaranteed amount.
  10. Projected salary cap for next season is $122 mil, Luxury Tax is $149 mil Trae - $30.5 mil Ayton - $30.5 mil (25% of $122 is his max) Gobert - $38 mil Below are the guarantees for 2022: (Gallo is guaranteed at $5 mil if released)
  11. Teams have to have capspace to sign FAs or they can do SnT. Or you can trade a bad contract and a multitude of picks for a star. A team can exceed the cap to resign their own players. Then there are a miryad of exceptions for teams to use if over the cap. TPEs, MLEs, TXMLEs, etc Then teams can be over the cap but under the Luxury Tax.
  12. With this playoff shot chart, we need another guy that can break down defenses/secondary creator that's not afraid to attack the paint. Rudy is a great defender, I just don't think he's worth twice as much as Clint and unless we fix our perimter defense he'd be no more effective here than he was in Utah.
  13. JD Shaw: Heat forward Markieff Morris has been fined $25,000 for interfering with live game play while on the bench. Morris grabbed and held Hawks swingman De’Andre Hunter out of bounds during the team’s Game 5 win. – via Twitter JShawNBA
