Best possible offseason for all ready to make moves teams in the NBA
JayBirdHawk replied to NBASupes's topic in Homecourt
It could also be a team not in luxury tax this year but next year looking to cut future long term salary that would keep Gallo's $21 salary with the hopes of having his $21 mil as an expiring at next seasons trade deadline....but we know those don't always work that way (see Dragic this past year). -
Heat defense playing with fire vs the highly ranked Hawks offense
JayBirdHawk replied to JTB's topic in Homecourt
Two things in both those clips. In the first Miami's defense isn't set. In the second video they are. Hawks/Trae need to stop walking the ball up court allowing Miami's defense to set. We are spending too much time playing against it. We need to pick up the pace after a make or a miss - even if it means using the pass to get the ball up court quickly and trying to score quickly. If the play isn't there we can always bring it back out and reset. Trae's game winner was not against the set defense, guys were still scrambling backup...Bam was trailing the play. -

If he'll get his guaranteed $20 mil (from us or another team)......why not? -

I think I've seen this happen between teams not in the playoffs, or when a teams playoffs end, we've definitely seen in before draft day or during the draft. This year's draft is June 23rd. Gallo's guarantee date is June 29. -
Tucker has been listed with the calf strain since the playoffs started.

Reported and Skip Balyess shouldn't be in the same sentence though,

Don't know if it's real....it's from Skip Bayless.

No, you're the one not listening. When any player is on .....every touch is lethal. And it was more than just Bogi's shooting last season. He was able to initiate the offense and get his teammates involved WITH Trae. -

Here's the thing with this concept. This has to be a designed play, you don't want Trae doing a Bazemore (running like a headless chicken), you have to have Trae move with intention and purpose, to have a designed play where he gets the ball back in shooting position. Running offscreens etc requires teammates to set those screens, they have to know when that's happening to set effective screens if that's the play call. Ask Nate if he has any designed plays for this type of action for Trae. I will say, that when Trae gives up the ball he needs to reposition himself and not stay in the same spot. -

This makes zero sense. So when he's on fire he can play with Trae but when he isn't he can't???? -

This^. Bogi really struggles when injured. -

...didn't we have a healthy Bogi playing SG next to Trae last regular season and into the playoffs once he was back healthy. Didn't have any difficulties getting into a groove and getting touches. -
This should be on the Trade Board and Porter Jr has already been extended on a 5yr rookie max.

Interesting? Rumor is Jimmy doesn't want to play with him though, lol

That was on Nate for not calling a time out. I don't mind being mad that our players are sucking, which they did....just that there we some 'exceptional' suggestions and judgements. To each his own though. It's just funny in hindsight. -

Anybody want some comedy....re-read pages 11 thru 21. Comedy Gold, Gold Jerry!!! Wild takes and snap judgements. Love it!!! -
50% Clint is better than none....our starters logged ZERO Offensive rebounds. His screen setting is invaluable, his lob threat is a real thing which frees up so much.
