  1. Hmmm.. if ya think about it, after they won, he was ... But whenever they lost he was ... ... and needed no surgery last offseason ....
  2. Because people have the ability to talk about things and they don't necessarily only talk about things in order of importance.
  3. If you're CHI and you see how this season played out, do you run it back .. just more expensive .. by re-signing Lavine?
  4. I don't think anybody came away thinking the 'story line' of that game was Hunter. You have a chip on your shoulder about him. I'm trying to help you see that. It's because I care, peo.
  5. It makes sense. You're just on a one-man crusade to avenge Hunter's good name, apparently, so you go off whenever you see someone say anything about him.
  6. Just because someone brings up Hunter's name doesn't mean they consider him high on the list of issues with this team. @shakes, this thread saddens me but I can't turn away in disbelief. It's like that time I saw a bird of prey stalking a rabbit in my parents' front yard. It didn't end well for bugs. Although it was strange to see it unfold (I mean, what is this Natural Geographic or something?), I felt it all made sense in the cold, unruly grand scheme of things. That's what this OP was to me.
  7. Me watchin' Jose Baller-ado give Chris Paul the absolute business all series long .. Can we give him a max deal to get him away from NOP? Just lie to me. Say, 'yes'.
  8. These are always hilarious. The lean in is real, baybee. Any gamer knows. ... at the Target Center? burd .... I must admit, I was a staunch Simmons advocate. But there's something wrong with that dude ..... still ...
  9. I'll ask that you read what I wrote without assuming what you think I'm trying to say. I at no point said Hunter is a scapegoat for anything. Hence me saying he could be 'our version of Kawhi'. I disagree that he doesn't do anything we need on offense. What we need is served up for him on a platter but he can't take advantage. Hey, does this disagreement rate highly enough to get a call-out on your next thread?
  10. And the funnier thing is folks claiming them being bad is Trae's fault. I witnessed Hunter having favorable matchup after favorable matchup and butt nekked open shot after butt nekked shot and being unable to do anything with it. Him dribbling off his own foot multiple times and just falling into bail out fouls (that we won't get in Miami) and I'm thinking, "So that's Trae's fault?" To be clear, I like Hunter and I think he can be good for us. But watching the varying arc and release on his shot and his poor handle make me question what TF he's been working on game-wise. Sure up those two areas and he's our version of Kawhi. Are we saying him having to rehab is the reason for these seemingly lagging areas of development? I can see that but, if that's the case, I can't see folks saying it's 'because Trae's heliocentric'. It's one or the other, not both.
  11. I don't think that's nearly as big an issue as folks keep saying. It's a problem but I think it's something that can be worked around, especially considering he's been more active/engaged as of late. Ohhhhh, not the neph?! Next time you see him just smack him much harder than necessary on the back and go, "Ah you lil' scamp."
  12. I don't call @NBASupes out enough to make his radar, I guess. Does that mean I need to change that? supes-shots comin'
  13. I hear you, to a degree. To me, last year's injury was a fluke so I wouldn't ascribe an injury this year to a 'narrative'. Although I freely admit that's what the eggsperts would certainly do. In the quoted post below, macd alludes to the problem which is that we're too dependent on Trae. That's not to say, as @Peoriabird has been force-feeding, that Trae is the problem. We just need to build around him. I'm of the opinion that 'shots taken' is a much bigger indicator that 'shots made'. I say that to say that I agree with where you end up on Heurter, just not how you got there. Splittin' hairs, I know, but the fact that he's such a good shooter but doesn't shoot is maddening. It's definitely a spot that needs to be upgraded. Imagine if we'd been able to pick up McCollum this past deadline? Whew, what a pickup that would've been. And I want to be clear, although I agree with @Sothron that Bogd should've started, us forcing him into a bench role was making the best of a bad situation. Heurter, due to his passive nature, with our current bench would not have worked as well as Bogd did.
  14. Depends on what you mean by "start over" though. I remember certain folks were pissed we moved on from the Horford/Milsap team to a total rebuild. But it seemed obvious to me that group had topped out years prior and a scorched-earth rebuild was necessary. This current group, imho, just needs a re-tooling. Switch out a piece here/there. To me, that's not starting over, so we may just differ on the definition of that concept.
  15. Somebody tell me the process of emancipating someone from your family. The heat-fan BIL crossed several lines with me via text last night. Not even funny stuff, just obnoxious typical heat-fan arrogance. Would it be wrong if I planted evidence to prompt my SIL to divorce him? Maybe I should've just PM'd this question. kg, I had a former coach that wouldn't stop bothering me. All I'll say is restraining orders are your friend. My ears are riiiingiiing.
  16. I'm just pissed I didn't get a call-out when supes resurrected his weird a** thread.
  17. "Whatevs. They acted like the one last year was super serious. Turns out he just needed to rub some clearasheyul on it. 'Cause it was clear as heyul they wasn't getting past round 2." - D. Spoelstra
  18. "Word around the dinner table is my brother had to go to marriage counseling. Wife caught him peeking at Lowery's boodee during practice. Eric said, 'babe, have you seen that onion? I ain't seen gams like that since Rick Mahorn put on Zeeks shorts by accident.'" - D. Spo
  19. "My brother told me what the Heat sideline dustup was really about. Haslem caught Jimi using his toothbrush ... again. Haslem was walking around tastin Virginia Slims, didn't know why. It all came to a head when Jimi screamed 'you've come a long way, baby'." - Deric Spoelstra
  20. As a lawyer, shakes knows he can't state that he actually pushed that kid off his bike then played it off by saying he was "tryna kill a bee" ...... with a 2-handed shove? We had a call to try and reconcile. Then he starts talking about not need fLowery and how they can just toss lOladipo in to score 40 and I blacked out. Turns out, in actuality, I went on a rant about his lack of basic bbiq and how 'he on't know sh*t'. Needless to say, peace talks broke down.
  21. I want fLowery to play. A tite hammy and that boodee are a precarious combination.
  22. How so? Grizzlies are whinin' in the media heavily but I didn't see the game. Brooks, who leads the league in fouls, complaining rings hollow to me but I'd like to hear some context.
