How long they're gonna milk this grade 1 hamstring strain? Now it's a bad back too?.
The decline also started BEFORE the injury..
29.1 PPG on 55/47 shooting in the 14 games before IST final
20.6 PPG on 46/35 in the 14 games after IST final
Teams got tape and his hot streak ended.
It's really odd seeing folks excuse-make for some players. If he's not healthy, he shld be eviscerated for prioritizing all nba money over winning.

Just snuck that in, huh? I'm the only one that caught this multi-laywred line?
9 minutes ago, Dragitoff said:I was just about to post the same thing. Dyson's shot is shaky, but he's got the size and POA defense we desperately need. He's a legit 6'7" combo guard who can attack and defend. That's a skillset we don't currently have on the roster. I could even see him find his way into the starting lineup between Trae and BI as our primary POA defender.
Yeah, Ingram isn't my first thought as far as making us better. But if it's Murray for Ingram and Daniels, I can see it as Ingram replacing Murray and Daniels giving us something we've lacked. So, although folks like @KB21 are arguably right in citing Ingram not being the defensive presence we need, the combination of the two can arguably be a net gain for us.
We'd still have work to do though, which I assume the front office knows. We simply can't have the current C rotation next year. We just can't. Can't!

What is the reasoning behind leaving Klutch.. so his dad can rep via CAA right?
Well it's been posted here that his longtime agent left Klutch recently. Just adding that because I think it's wrong for us to suggest he left 'to be repped by his dad' as it doesn't seem the events lined up that way.
It seems more like they knew their agent was planning on leaving, so they made moves as part of a secession plan.

I got the cantaloupes at the ready, my captain.
We haven't had a good run-by fruiting in the 'sac in far too long.

7 hours ago, KB21 said:Yep. I don’t know where this idea that Brunson is this elite defensive player has come from. Trae was also much better defensively this year.
It's a combination of familiarity breeding discontent and BSPN-ization.
A. Hawks fans see how bad our team defense is and have decided to pin it on one guy. This is fueled by B.
B. People hear the eggsperts on BSPN and other places tell them how bad a guy is or how great(sic) another guy is, and they just blindly believe. This is the BSPN-ization of fans. Folks choose to replace their own thinking with what BSPN and other sports media tell them.
So NYK has great team defense around Brunson and ... well, hes out there too, so he must be grest on defense as well right? No, he's actually not. He has the same issues Trae does on D. He just has a team geared to hide his deficiencies. We dont. It’s that simple.

We get Herb Jones, Jarrett Allen and Smart I’m doing backflips.
I do believe CLE will move on from their double-big thing with Allen being odd man out.
Aye, would we want BroLopez? Is he done-zo or still got some juice?
Eta. And, if you think he's done, out it on a scale for me. Where is he from 1 to Kl0y Th0mps0n?

3 minutes ago, Mikey said:I never understand this sentiment amongst hawks fans. The draft is the one area the hawks have killed it.
Jc at 19, huerter at 19, jalen at 20, Kobe. They had to draft wings in 2019 and took a project and the ncaa best wing just haven’t panned out to stars. Took the best big in 20 when the pick fell. They never had draft luck but made most of it. The worst pick in recent memory is AJ? Who looked awesome his first season but fell in year 2 and even then we know who Schlenk really wanted
I lived through the 80's and 90's, my dude. When you ask me, as a Hawks fan, "who hurt you, kg?".
I'll whimper, "Pppp ...Pete ... Babcock... "
My hawks draft ptsd runs as deep as the Mariana trench. It's gonna take a little more than luck on a few non-lotto 1sts to turn this around. But, the good thing is, I've recognized I have a problem ... right?

7 minutes ago, JeffS17 said:If we can get Herb by letting NO dump Ingram onto us then it is worth it imo. Send out something like Murray + capela/hunter + AJ and it's worth it to me. You don't have to pay Ingram $50M if no one else is willing to pay him $50M. I'm less concerned about that than some here -- the new cap will be in full effect and teams aren't throwing massive bags at guys that aren't tier 1 stars, and I trust Landry will negotiate down to the most team friendly deal possible IF we want to retain him. Win/win for both teams imo.
Finally, a reasonable post from jeffe. About time.

Heh. No doubt jeffe knows KB is Quin's #1 fan, so this comment is a sneaky haymaker.

Absolutely.
40% of the Hawks starters in the ECF were literally given away FOR NOTHING. And it's not like those starters were weak links. They averaged 25 pts / 3.7 ast / 12.5 reb per game in the playoffs. Given away.
This is why I get frustrated with folks that pin the decline on one player. As if it's all on him.
Guy has his faults, for sure, but so do all players. But our fans(sic) totally ignore the facts of what the organization has done around him. We eat our own like no other. Sad.

Honestly, Dyson isn't enough for me. Gotta be Jones.

I hate the Knicks. I hate their fans and their organization. But looking back at the 2021 series and the paths the two organizations took between then and now and I just shake my head. One team went out and strategically added pieces and reshaped their roster to be pretty dang good. And the other replaced legit NBA players with marginal NBA players and then added an allstar that doesn't fit. SMH
Don't forget we also traded rotation pieces for literal nothing .... twice!
