@capstone21 @Sothron I know you guys are really down on Trae but give the guy a chance. He will win you over. He was built for this league. He’s our Zeke and Nash. My prediction: He will be the best point guard in Hawks history. (Not saying too much but a lot better than we’ve ever had...EVER..Mookie Doc included imo).

I know I know ...I wanted Doncic too along with all of Slovenia. But I’m looking at it like it was a Magic (Doncic) Zeke (Trae) draft.

We did well. Luka will be a star but so will Trae. Kid’s got crazy passing skills and is the best shooter in the draft. Huerter the 2nd best and we got him too. Spellman is another great all around center and a winner at Nova. We didn’t go super sexy in the draft but that might be a good thing. Sexy would have included MPJ who would have been nice with Trae but we didn’t move up. We still have a lot of building to do but we have a blueprint. It’s to our score everyone and shoot 50 3’s a game. LETS GO HAWKS!!!! I KNOW SOME OF YOU ARE DOWN BUT WE GOT A ZEKE IN TRAE! Forget Curry that’s not a good comparison. Nash or Zeke. Trae isn’t going away. He will make you guys regret booing him.. u know online..

I’ll give us an A- Doncic will be a star and so will Trae. Again, I think Trae is the best shooting prospect I’ve seen in a while and his passing is on point. Doncic had size and international flare on Trae. Kevin Huerter was the best shooter out of the shooting guards and he’s got a machine like release. Needs to beef up fast. Spellman is the best shooting center in the draft or up there if not the best. Not sexy but we definitely have an identity now...we want to score 200 a night and give up 199.

Now I’m not comparing him to Curry by any means because Trae is a way better Nash type passer but I remember reading a quote about Steve Kerr wanting to trade up in the 09 draft to the 7th pick and take Curry for the Suns..He said something along the lines of..I envision a lot of kids in Phoenix wearing little Curry jerseys. I see little kids in Atlanta doing the same with Trae. I wouldn’t be mad.

I’m pro both..2 of my top 5 I think..I did love Bagley too. I can see a scenario where Trae shines...isn’t that who quavo from migos wanted ?

I think the Joe comparison is a lazy one. Sadly, I haven’t thought long enough and can’t seem to be able to compare him to anybody in the past. He’s just a new style player with an old school game. He plays the game like he’s a soccer player trying to find guys that are open. High praise here here and I haven’t heard this anywhere but he’s a poor man’s combo of Magic and Bird. Even using the word poor, that’s huge praise. He improvises well...he is a situational player. Crafty and smart. Look if all these kids are gambles, I’d like to take the best gamble and to me it looks like him.
