The deals not being great are more so a sign of Murray value than anything. Plus Clint has zero value across the league. zero. He’s netting a second round pick at best alone. No matter when or who they trade Murray for they are getting what will be the equivalent of 2 firsts. Picks players or combination. They are gonna lose that 1 additional first they sent. You’re asking a lot to bank on KAT being available and having the best offer

I don’t really think siakam deal has any bearing on the speed a Murray deal gets done. I think it could help the value but hawks have discussed numerous frameworks and are prepared to move. Just need another team to be ready to pull trigger. I think it’s very likely Murray and Clint will be moved in same deal

Like sothron said a framework is on the table the team just has to accept. Really just depends on their urgency and if they convince themselves it’s not a lateral move. if that team decides it’s not worth it *at this point* I think they would still move him by the deadline and same goes for capela. I think both gonna be moved together. Dre is a tough one to gauge

I personally am a fan of the returns and think they getting their best bang for their Buck in a djm deal. that being said I know a majority of fans want real production back and “win now” moves which aren’t gonna happen with these for this particular season

Trae made some comments post game about his confidence in Quin but he did throw a subliminal shot at someone in locker room that they aren’t bought in. This feels awfully similar to when they were waiting for reddish trade to go down that szn.

Hawks best path to any time of contention is trading Trae to San Antonio for our picks. If they took a guy like reed they would have project to have defense at every spot and enter the Flagg sweepstakes. This team is much further away from contention than they want to admit. See your fault is assuming the picks are automatically gonna be bad. There is no idea knowing where the picks land. Do they project to be great no but anything could happen. Especially when you get firsts years later like 2027. You’re also overrating djm value. Teams don’t value him as the player you described because he hasn’t shown he is that player in 2 years
