  1. Wemby | Sarr | Sochan would be scary defensively.
  2. Some combination of DJ, Hunter, Capela for a legitimate floor spacer…
  3. I think we had Pero Antic when we were enjoying the competition of Paul George’s peak.Ha
  4. You could be right, but Marvin’s funky walk/coordination and overall body language never suggested great. (Not saying Sarr is any different)
  5. Question for insiders— Does the player we covet via trade (that may desire the Big Apple) warrant the #1 pick? For example, #1-Hunter+? for Giannis?
  6. That’s fine. 1 is better than 10. It is independent of any other draft lottery. Of course we would rather have Edwards. What good does that do?
  7. ? If you are going to use this unrelated metaphor, why can’t we be Chicago then? They were #1. Carolina traded up for the wrong player. We aren’t selling any farm land like Carolina did.
  8. Are you sure? I’d prefer Tim Duncan or Kobe myself if we get to cherry-pick.
  9. Cheer up— getting it this year (should) have zero impact on next year. 1 is better than 10. Someone may highly covet a player and trade for it. Maybe we covet a player. An asset just increased in value… net gain. Atlanta controls the draft. Snyder gets to hand pick a guy on a rookie scale salary. It may actually help us make trades with other players as we know where we can add a specific player. I’ll take it.
  10. Simply based on the scouting reports of others, here are (8) players that intrigue me (not just at #10): Matas Buzelis Reed Sheppard (his jumper reminds me of Mark Price) Cody Williams Zaccharie Risacher Ja’Kobe Walter Pacome Dadiet Tristan Da Silva Mark Sears Each seems to be versatile and/or possesses high-level intangibles/competitiveness…most have defensive capability/potential.
  11. Depends on what the ‘25 pick can net… no pun intended. The #21 has very little value based on the perception around here regarding this draft. I think Okongwu is more valuable than an add on to get a pick. Do we move the picks for ‘now’ players? If not, what does that communicate to Trae?
  12. I didn’t watch the NBA this year. Tell me about what Suggs and Black have shown? Is Isaac actually playing?
  13. If this hypothetical trade were to go through, what would you see as an ideal lineup (considering offensive strengths and defensive role)? Does this increase the likeliness that we move Hunter? Hunter seemed to excel off the bench, but he is too expensive for that role (and would he accept it?). I’d be curious to see how Dyson is used. Would he be our facilitator off the bench? He and Bogi would seem like a complementary pair. Capela and/or Hunter for? Is Giannis really a target? Trae/Giannis/Ingram trio? Trae | Bogi | Ingram | Giannis | ? Bufkin | Daniels | ? | Gueye | ?
  14. He will probably end up in Miami (or another big market) for a prospect, pick, and filler.
  15. … then we should be able to acquire Ingram for role players and contracts. (e.g. Hunter, AJ, etc.). If he isn’t an impact player, why would we want him taking up so much cap space? Maybe we can grab a big in the draft (e.g. Clingan, etc.)… Capela as our only and best big would be tough.
  16. We aren’t a contender after the deal — no rush.
  17. Why are we trying to help NO? OO plays his role well and is on a relatively manageable deal. The team fit may be an issue, but he is no throw in. Ingram and his soon to be $45-50+M deal can kick rocks. Murphy or Jones… or goodbye. NO has similar pressure to win. We don’t need to fold. Another thing, in a draft that is supposedly so terrible, what does #21 do really?
  18. I’m also out on Ingram. I’m also out on Ingram.
  19. Please help me understand why a team would give up significant depth/value for Durant. He has already shown what he can(‘t) accomplish on a poorly built team without proper depth. We need ballers, not divas. Players that raise the tide, not install personal jets to control the ocean’s water pressure…
  20. I was intrigued at “intensity”. We could use some of that “losing isn’t an option” mentality.
  21. Gross — Losing the trade on the court and on the balance sheet. Has Ingram ever shown the ability to lead? At his price, leading is an expectation. I don’t see it.
