No way we trade all of that for Embiid. Honestly, I’d be apprehensive offering the deal for Giannis. Isn’t he about to be 30? Do we not want to draft another player until 2030?

I’d definitely consider that trade…. As long as my pride doesn’t get in the way. It’s like buying a tester/showroom car at the new price, driving your family down to the beach for vacation, and then selling it back when you return for the price of a 2-3 year old used car.

Had the same thought myself — I think you’re right. Sarr might start out backing up JJ and Jones. Bufkin | Jones | Sarr | OO would be a nice defensive group

Learning to shoot 3s in an open gym is apparently pretty easy to do.

The body type reminds me of Bosh, too. Bosh had more half-court skill at this point.

I actually had the exact thought regarding those three as a comparison. JJ and Marion loosely share some offensive profile; however, I recall Marion being a longer, bouncier defender (more like Sarr on defense). Amare’s post game is obviously more advanced.

He does move awfully well for a 7-footer. How is his work ethic? Grit? Any evidence of his competitiveness/desire to win? How respectable of a shooter can he reasonably become? Didn’t Kawhi improve rather drastically once in the NBA? How can his body/frame change to improve explosiveness but not compromise agility and speed?

PG and Bridges were the two that came to mind for me, too. (Obviously Herb if available) Trae | PG | Starr | JJ | OO If we went this route, we would use Murray to either upgrade at Center or (more likely) grab depth and picks.
