    I have zero inside information so absolutely nothing to back this up, but I just don't see Minny trading KAT if they finish as a 1/2 seed and make the WCF. They think they have a title contender. They will find a way to make it work. That would be similar to our Nique trade, and would completely alienate the fans. I could be wrong and you probably know more than me on this, but I just can't see it happening. I also dont like the idea of giving up Murray+JJ for KAT. I don't think that makes us a better team. We'd be good offensively but that's it. Unless we nailed our draft picks and AJ/OO/Gueye/Bufkin all made huge leaps next year.

    Minny is in first place. You just don't trade one of your star players to avoid the tax when you are in 1st place and a title contender. They will find a way to make it work. Our best shot at getting KAT is for them to have a bad 2nd half and get smoked in the first round, driving them to make a change. If they make the WCF as a #1 seed it's just not happening, IMO. Especially if KAT plays well in the playoffs. Don't care about repeater tax, etc.

    Honestly love DJ, we need to stop dangling him in the market unless a team is willing to give us a huge package. Great win, to beat the Warriors on a back to back when Steph drops 60 is nuts. We couldve easily folded and lost but we didnt give up.

    I just don't get it. Why are we in a rush to trade Murray? We aren't going to get a player better than him in return, and he's locked in for the next 4 years on a good contract. Sit back and make teams make good offers, no need to be in a rush to move Murray. We aren't contending this season no matter what happens. Not to mention, this offer is complete garbage. A 2028 first? For a player of Murray's caliber on a good contract? I hope this is a joke.

    Edit, didn't realize that Bally wasn't also showing the game or that out of towners can't watch. That's no good. I'm assuming league pass would still carry the game though? The whole agreement for this was WITH Bally Sports so that's weird.     Love to see Trae back to himself. This version of Trae is a star who can knockoff anyone in the playoffs. Elite scoring and passing.

    This team sucks. At this point I'm open to a Siakam rental, and if we have to pay him 50+ million. He may improve our team marginally, but we need to make a lot of moves, our defense is just terrible.

    We have no problem scoring. We have issues on defense. Does Siakam improve our D?

    Wow. This is a travesty. How do you leave a guy wide open under the basket. He was standing there wide open for like 5 seconds.

    Your point is valid. I should have focused on the message of allowing players to shoot better than their averages. They had 5 guys shooting pretty well above their average while scoring above their average. Regardless it was a horrendous defensive performance. Guess I was just ranting a bit.

    Just look at these FG% from all the Spurs yesterday. These guys are scrubs. Letting 5 average players go off and shoot above their season average FG% (while scoring more points than their average) is attrocious. Sochan 12-14 (45% season avg) Johnson 8-15 (47% season avg) Wemby 9-16 (43% season avg) Champagne 5-8 (39% season avg) Vassell 8-14 (50% season avg) 1 scrub going off is an outlier, you let 5 scrubs go off it's a problem.

    Opposing teams get a layup or wide open 3 on virtually every possession. Someone pump fakes and blows by the defender, everyone collapses and they kick for an open 3. EVERY time. It's just so simple, pump fake and as soon as someone bites you go by them, then the whole defense dies. We fall for it every time. Guys turn their head away from their man when helping and their man relocates and is completely wide open. It's pitiful. I just don't see how we don't show them film to fix. These are very basic fundamentals on defense. Stop leaving your feet on pump fakes, box out when a shot goes up. I'm almost to the point where we shouldn't even try to help on defense except for Capela or OO, just stay on your man instead of collapsing to let them kick out to wide open 3's all game. Being this bad defensively is already horrific, but when they actually do miss we can't rebound. We have to score 140 to win games and even still might lose.

    Defense is just awful. Needed a heculean effort by trae on offense to beat the Spurs by 2. We are going ti lose a lot of games unless we can clean that up.

    We cant get stops period. This team isnt good. The SPURS are about to drop 140 on us

    Definitely don't want to rebuild. Teams go from middle of the pack to top 4 all the time, many times a team is one or 2 moves away. Rebuilding is a bad decision IMO. What if that next young star you draft only ends up as a top 20-25 player? Then you are middle of the pack again, but it takes 5 years to find out the true ceiling of many of these players. It's so hard to get a top 5 player it's not worth it. Now if we were the 2022 Blazers where our stars are in their mid 30s, then yes I would rebuild.

    It's another season where if we don't score 130+ we will lose. Sometimes we will lose even if we do. Murray and Trae are so inconsistent shooting. It's rare they are both on at the same time. Murray was hot early in the season and Trae was not, then Trae picked it up and Murray started struggling. The same thing happened last year.

    Um why do we take capela out there for trae on D. Thats a terrible decision. And of course they drive the the basket and get the tip in offensive rebound.

    It sucks not being able to get stops. And when we get a stop we cant get the rebound. Never going to win like this.

    Stop doubling hali in the backcourt. Double him when he crosses half court.
