They even say that he's a SF/PF tweener but too big to play the 3 adequatly. Anyway draftnet is not exactly accurate with their profiles and ratings. I happen to know a guy that works for them (Stefan Lorenz) and to my knowledge he's not a professional scout, he's just a guy that watches alot of basketball and posts on message boards. This is also the site that had Andriuskevicius, Aleksandrov and Ohlbrecht as the number one players of their drafts for years.

Europe China I know most American basketball fans use 'Euro' for any non North American player but it is annoying to any person from there. Comparing European basketball with Chinese basketball is just wrong. The CBA is very weak, it's not even the best Asian league. However Yi did better than Bargnani did in Italy and Europe, but then again the difference in league quality is very high. I posted Yi's stats from the last World Championship and they were nothing impressive. He's still only 19 (if the rumors that he was born in 1984 are false) so he has lots of time to improve and could become another Gasol or Dirk, but he could just as easily become another Skita, Andriuskevicius or Wang Zhizhi, the only thing that seems for certain is that he's definitely not a NBA center.

CSKA won 94-75 and therefore won the 3 team tournament. Anderson finished with 9 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 FT) and 6 rebounds. I guess he could be a solid NBA backup big (maybe very solid), but he didn't show me anything to believe that he could be more than that, so I think it wouldn't make sense for both parties if he joined the Hawks. The Clippers looked very poor in this game, in the 2nd and 3rd quarter they were very frustrated and in the 4th they didn't care anymore, it was kinda embarressing for them, I know that the NBA season hasn't started yet but the season in Russia hasn't started yet either, so I think that they should really not lose that high and be that dominated.

There is a live box score on the CSKA site (http://www.cskabasket.com/?lang=en). Andersen has 8 points and 6 rebounds right now. His passing is quite fantastic for a big man. He just scored with a nice fallaway jumper. 2 of the 3 refs are from the NBA and it kinda shows, but CSKA is leading easily right now, 67-52.

CSKA leads 52-39 at halftime versus the Clippers. David Andersen started the game at PF. Up until now I can say that he has a very nice midrange shot and makes some good intelligent passes, haven't seen many inside moves from him. On defense CSKA plays a 2-3 zone so it's kinda hard to judge his defense, he tries to block some shots but is rather unsuccessful. Unfortunately the live box score on nba.com doesn't seem to work so I don't know how many points & rebs he currently has. Right now I'd say that the Hawks don't really need him, he seems more like a finesse PF/C than a banger (altough the commentator said, that his strength is around the basket), but I've only seen one half, so I could be totally wrong. Theodoros Papaloukas & Anton Ponkrashov are looking very good for CSKA. I don't know if you can see the NBA Europe games in the US, but if you do and you want to check out Andersen, CSKA plays again on Tuesday (vs. Maccabi) and on Wednesday (vs. the winner of Suns-76ers).

We started with a roster set from the 2004-05 season so people from that draft year are a little misrated (e.g. Smoove can't really block, Ivey is a very good backup PG, etc.). Overall some players are rated too high, some too low, but that will always be the case with theses kinda games. Since that season every draft contained players from the college sim, so these players are all fake. CPU teams seem to like to fill their rosters with veterans so the Rogers', McCoy's, Glover's always have a chance to get a roster spot as long as there are CPU teams.

I'm the co-commish of a NBA & a college basketball online league and since it seems some of you people are interested in those kinda games I thought that maybe some of you would like to join one of the leagues. A little problem might be that we're using a german message board but we're all able to speak english so there shouldn't be too many language problems (of course we would make fun of you in german all the time ) and I think it would be fun if we had some members from the USA who know a thing or two about basketball, cause usually our new members are quite young people that often don't have any real basketball knowledge and leave after a short while, but luckily the majority of the GMs have been there for quite a while, so it's really always the same 2-4 teams that have often changing GMs. NBA sim There are currently three teams without a GM: Sacramento, Memphis & Seattle For simming purposes we use Total Pro Basketball 2005 from Grey Dog Software, you don't have to own the game, because you can get all the important things from the website and extra files that we upload. Each player is rated in many categories and you as a GM are able to set your lineup, sub matrix und tactics, you can make trades, sign free agents, draft, etc.. You can take a look at the teams via the standings page, the players have their own sites here, there is also an extra file with some extra information about the players. During regular season we sim three times a week and each time we sim 1 week game time. You send in your lineup & tactics via mail using this form or if you own the game you can simply send in your exported team file. We're currently in our 6th season (two with the first TPB, then we restarted with TPB 2005) so you don't have to be afraid that the league will vanish anytime soon. We're currently ~68 games into the season, but you can immediately step in anyway. college sim Only six teams are taken: Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Maryland, Temple, Texas & Georgetown We're simming with Total College Basketball from Grey Dog Software. For the college sim you have to own the game cause the html export contains only the team pages. Players are rated in almost the same aspects that the TPB 2005 players are rated in and the senior class (+declaring underclassmen) are used for the NBA sim's draft. You as the coach first make your own coaching profile where you set your strengths (e.g. offense, recruiting, scouting, defense, develoment) and character aspects (e.g. calm/hotheaded, discipline fanatic). During the course of the season you will be able to recruit, make lineups, sub matrix, tactics, set your training, redshirt players, get transfer players, etc.. The college website is located here. You send in your lineups & recruiting via the export file the game creates. We're 1-3 games away from the conference tourneys, you'll have to wait till the end of the season to take control of your team. I'm using the rules from the german FIFA site and there it says: 1. number of points 2. goal difference 3. number of goals scored and if all these 3 things are equal among the teams then it goes to things like goals against each other and so on. And I never heard of a playoff game on neutral ground during a tournament, that sounds kinda silly, they don't have any time for things like that. I think I figured it out, the rules you used are the rules for the World Cup qualification only, then the playoff game makes sense, but for the World Cup itself it uses different rules. What does puzzle me is that in the pdf you gave, it says on page 32 Quote: (a) greater number of points obtained in all the group matches; If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above criterion, their ranking shall be determined as follows: (b) greater number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned; © goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned; (d) greater number of goals scored in the group matches between the teams concerned; (e) goal difference in all the group matches; (f) greater number of goals scored in all the group matches; (g) drawing lots by the Organising Committee for the FIFA World CupTM. No you're misinformed :P , Forlan DID suck at ManU, they show the Premier League here and whenever I saw him he wasn't very good and missed a lot of easy chances (although when I saw him playing for Uruguay he always played much better) and on other message boards all the ManU we're always crying about how bad Forlan is and the Arsenal fans would make fun of him. Rodriguez is a Reserve for Schalke, I should know, I watch all the Bundesliga games. He only played in 8 of 15 Bundesliga games this year (well technically 9 but one time he came in in the 90th minute so that shouldn't count ) and only because the real starter Christian Pander is injured for a long time period and Schalke has no other players for the left defense side (and they spent all their money on other players like Kuranyi, Ernst and Rafinha, so they can't really afford another signing). Plus he's not playing very good, I liked him before he came to Schalke, but since he played for them he wasn't very good. You do have some good players, but somehow that one special superstar player is missing. I once thought Recoba could be that guy, but he isn't there yet. What's with those two PSG guys Bueno and Rodriguez are they good?

What use would he be? He's no center, he plays the 3 and 4, so he wouldn't get much time, cause we already have Childress, Smith, Harrington and Williams at these spots right now. Plus he couldn't get playing time on the Nuggets, Warriors & Timberwolves and I guess there's a reason for it, plus it's said that he's weak defensively. I might do it for Delk, cause we have no use for Delk, but I don't think Skita would help us much.

Well Forlan isn't playing as good as last season and before that he sucked 3 years for ManU, so he isn't really that good anyway. And some of your players like Rodriguez and Varela are only reserve players for their teams. You guys seemed to stop being good when Francescoli got old and retired. He always was one of my favourite players.

I'm for Lenny, cause when I became a real Hawks fan Lenny was the coach and the Hawks were really good back then, so if he comes back the Hawks will be good again, you just have to believe! I have I question: On that 12-70 Clippers team the topscorer was Mike Woodson, is that our Mike Woodson? If that's him then no wonder we're losing so much, he intentionelly teaches losing so that his former Clippers team doesn't look so bad and he doesn't have to be ashamed anymore to have played for one of the worst 5 teams all-time.

Cook plays for Dexia Mons-Hainaut in Belgium. Best plays for Unics Kazan in Russia. Williams plays for FC Barcelona in Spain. So these guys most likely aren't available, but yeah we need someone that actually has some point guard skills. By the way could somebody tell me why we aren't sending Ivey down to the d-league? I mean he isn't getting any playing time at all for the Hawks so why not send him down to give him some playing experience?
