  1. This is a very nice read. Thanks for posting. I have to admit that I am getting really excited about this upcoming season. The Hawks seem to have some really hungry players and a potentially deep team. I can honestly see this team being a pleasant surprize and possibly making the playoffs this season. Wow, November 10 is going to be a blast. That is all for now.
  2. The shirts are looking really good. Is there a specific time we need to order (or pick up) the shirts?
  3. You could always put the year "05" on the back to commemorate the year we got our shirts.
  4. 20! But I will be 21 the day after Graymule! Go Hawks!
  5. I beat you to this one Diesel, but it seems as if you provided a more detailed explaination. Check out the thread, Latest news on JJ "It's all taken care of". I stated the following: "Oh yeah! I am really looking forward to the season now. If everything goes as planned, I predict that season ticket sales will actually increase from all this drama." I am glad to see that we see eye to eye on this subject. Just trying to make some leamonade here, but I really believe that some excitement can be generated from this. And if all goes well for the rest of the summer, the Hawks could really surprize some teams this year (and maybe even sneak into the playoffs).
  6. I agree with you that removing Belkin is necessary, and I wholeheartedly expect that to happen. There seems to be no way that these guys will ever get along again.
  7. Oh yeah! I am really looking forward to the season now. If everything goes as planned, I predict that season ticket sales will actually increase from all this drama.
  8. That was just not cool at all. Hopefully when the "real" news comes in this afternoon (or in a few more days), it will not be so terrible. In fact, I want to hear that the Hawks ousted Belkin, completed the JJ trade, made an offer to Curry, signed the Tractor, and resigned Lue. Now that would be some good news.
  9. Literatal castration for Belkin might not be so bad either; but I am sure some judge in Boston would postpone this one, too.
  10. Thanks a lot Weez, I appreciate the info. My secondary application came in today and I am hoping that completing it goes without much problem. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have an interview for early admission which would definately make my senior year of school less stressful.
  11. It sure would be nice to come home from work tomorrow and get some good news. The Hawks fans really need this because we have a chance to come out of a dark and dreary tunnel that has went on since the turn of the century. Here's to hoping for a long waited positive direction for our franchise in the 21st Century!
  12. Of main interest to me are: 1. Teaching Philosophy 2. Reputation 3. City 4. Difficulty 5. Anything else you might consider relevent Thanks for the help.
  13. I was always a big fan of the Tecmo series. Tecmo Superbowl 3 for the Super NES was definately the best, though. That game and Baseball Simulator 1.000 were great. These games were way ahead of their time with the player and team stats, player creation, and team control options. I actually still play these games on occasion (my NES is still hooked up in my room).
  14. Thanks Weez, I appreciate the willingness to help. One of my questions is if anyone has any knowledge about the Medical School at Mercer in Macon, GA.
  15. Thanks for the comments everybody. I was sad when Madden got exclusive rights because ESPN had made a lot of progress the past couple of years. My personal favorite in any football game is the franchise mode and player creation where I can control all aspects of the team. I really hope the Madden series does a good job at this. If anyone notices please let me know.
  16. I am just curious, but it seems like a large percentage of members on this board are in/preparing for/completed with medical school or some other professional career. Is this assumption correct or am I way off base? My reasoning for this is based on the comments by members here and also the quality of the content on this site. Another reason I ask this is because I am in the process of attempting early admission for medical school and I was curious who all here was going/applying to any schools in GA, AL, or TN.
  17. Could anybody give me some info on the Madden games? I don't play video games very often as most of my purchases in recent years have been the EPSN football series each year, Halo, Civilization 3, and a couple of others. Any info on gameplay, depth in the franchise mode, controls, and character creation would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help everybody.
  18. I don't know if I would take time off from being a fan, but I would definately have some very hard feelings for our team's court appointed dictator.
  19. I sure am hoping that the judge looks at this situation like most every other person that has followed this whole fiasco and decides to go against Belkin. Almost everybody with inside information has no doubt that Belkin is trying to completely shaft the Hawks. Hopefully, there will be no hidden "legal stuff" that allows Belkin to come out of this with a victory. It would be wonderful to put all of this behind us after tomorrow and move forward with a young, exciting team led by JJ that has a good chance to suprise some people. Regarding BK, I think he has been a very good GM in his time with the Hawks. He has not been perfect by any means, but I truly believe that since being hired, BK has made many more good decisions than bad ones.
  20. I am very excited about this signing as well. Pachulia will definately help out this season. Like some others have said on here, though, it would definately be nice to get another big body like Hunter or Tractor Traylor to help shore up our weak front court. If we can pick up one of these bigs and maybe Lue or another decent point I would be more confident going into the season.
  21. Thanks for the help. I guess I need to start voicing my opinion more often, even if I don't feel like I have something profound to say.
  22. name? I cannot seem to figure out how to change it from "draft pick". Thanks for the help in advance.
  23. With the Fifth Pick in the 2005 NBA draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select: Raymond Felton / PG / North Carolina / 6-0 / 194 lbs With this pick Memphis replaces Pau Gasol and Jason Williams while saving over $80 million dollars. Melvin Ely and Brezec will do a good job of filling in down low and Jason Hart should be able to fill in as a backup point in case Earl Watson cannot be resigned. Next's year's team, as of now, looks like this: PG: Raymond Felton, Jason Hart, Earl Watson (if resigned) SG: Mike Miller, Dahntay Jones, Andre Emmitt SF: Shane Battier, Brian Cardinal, James Posey PF: Stromile Swift (resigned), Melvin Ely C: Lorenzen Wright, Primo Brezec, Jake Tsakalidis With Felton and a resigned Stromile Swift, the Grizzlies should be two or three deep at every position, especially if Earl Watson can be resigned, too. I feel like this team can definately compete next season and are in a good position because the Grizz have saved money with this pre-draft trade, gotten a possible franchise PG, and have allowed room to make more trades later on considering how much depth the team now has. The only order of business left is to find a decent back up two guard (although Battier can move over to the two when Miller is resting). And now with the draft finished, the Grizzlies find a cave to hibernate in until FA begins.
  24. That is great Shug, then it is a done deal. I will have a pick ready before today at midnight.
  25. Memphis is willing to deal with Charlotte; the trade breaks down as follows: Memphis trades: Pau Gasol Jason Williams #19 Charlotte trades: Marvin Ely Primoz Brezec Jason Hart #5 I have checked this trade out on RealGM and it works out. The trade ID is 2419144. Let me know if this trade is of interest.
