  1. Ellison is a CONFIRMED Billionaire with a love for the NBA... I'd welcome him with open arms.
  2. I'm putting it out there that I'm looking to move up for a specific player and am dangling my 2nd & 3rd picks (#32 &33)... I will have to look to AHF for the equivalency factor in trades but I am throwing it out there.
  3. With the 1st pick in the 2012-13 Hawksquawk Summer offseason draft... Devon's Avenue of the Giants Squad selects... SG/SF KEVIN "THE DURANTULA" DURANT - Kevin Durant is an MVP, a scoring champion, and a consumate TEAM-FIRST player. We here at the Avenue of the Giants love his versatility, his scoring prowess, his fire, and his overall BEAST MODE-ness. We believe Durant will not only be our "SUPERSTAR" but also our "Captain" and our "Community Leader".... We couldn't be more excited to have him in the fold!!! Supporter has been PM'd
  4. I'm ready to make my selection but am also willing to listen to all trade ideas as well...Devon's Youth Movement is listening to all offers...
  5. He'd be a "M'eh, we'll see" type of pick...It doesn't get me excited, but it doesn't make me angry like Wroten, Jr. would.I'm all in for Fab Melo... That should be our pick because it would allow us to move Al to the 4 and have a truely HUGE frontcourt...
  6. Don't kill me for this but Meyers Leonard reminds of the Cal Bowdler/Adam Keefe ridiculous picks of the past...
  7. Is this guy even in the league or did we just draft him to cut him?
  8. ...and it's the points you just made that make Bob Arum's "Fuming rants" just that much more perplexing.Either Arum is playing us all for fools and laughing all the way to the bank, or boxing is just that corrupt...This fight stinks of dead fish and loose women.
  9. Bradley was THOROUGHLY beaten by Pacquiao... I watched every second of this fight and was literally sitting there, stunned look on my face, at the score of the first judge (115-113 to Pacquiao) as none of us in the room thought it was even remotely close. When the 2nd judge had it 115-113 to bradley we were FLOORED, then the final judges score came in and we lost all faith in boxing.Boxing = irrelevant
  10. If we pass on Fab Melo, a LEGIT CENTER, to take this scrub... I can literally feel my blood starting to boil.
  11. So let me get this right...- his jumper is referred to as "broken"- he has more TO's than assists...- he's not a true PG- he's a locker room cancer- his #1 asset is that he's "raw but very athletic"I'll pass, so I'm sure Rick Sund has already given him the Shelden Williams guarantee...Being a Hawks fan IS the definition of insanity.
  12. Oh yeah.. I forgot... FLOOD PRONE.
  13. Have you been to Memphis?Economically depressed, crime ridden, small market.
  14. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8038389/sources-billionaire-robert-pera-agrees-purchase-memphis-grizzliesSo I just read on ESPN that the Memphis Grizzlies were sold for $350m to a 34-year old "Silicon Valley" billionaire with no ties to the area...This pisses me off to no end...Memphis can get sold but Atlanta, THE 9TH LARGEST MARKET IN THE COUNTRY, gets stuck with the bumbling bafoon crew...To quote the mom from Step-Brothers... "What the F*cking F*ck"
  15. Chris Paul & Monta Ellis... That backcourt would've been ridiculous.
  16. Horford was a slam dunk; thank heavens we didn't have the #1 because we would've endured the Oden saga...Law was a bust immediately... Thad Young or Stuckey would've been better choices.
  17. Teague has been ok, albeit he was shackled under Woodson's "No PT for Rookies" rule. I can't really complain about that pick much; Gibson would've been great but where would he play on this team; we have enough 3-4's.Collison would've been awesome and he looked the part coming out of UCLA, I never really understood his slide; maybe his "ceiling" wasn't all that high, but then again Marvin williams was supposed to have no ceiling and be the 2nd coming... so... yeah.I doubt we'll ever see Gladyr; i've heard he has a sizeable buyout clause with his Russian squad.Chalk it up to another CRAPTASTIC draft under the guidance of the Atlanta Spirit Clowns.
  18. His 3pt % is nowhere near the best at his position... Seriously man?as for him getting open off of cuts and creating his own shot... WHEN IN THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?I've been to nearly every Hawks' home game since he's been here and the majority of the time Marvin shuffles up the court and stands LITERALLY IN THE CORNER behind the 3pt. line... He's useless, he applies ZERO effort to create a shot.He doesn't even try to set picks, he literally STANDS IN THE CORNER and waits for Iso-Joe to be over...STEALING MONEY!!!
  19. I was about to say, which Jefferson?Richard Jefferson... No Al Jefferson... M'eh depends on what for... George Jefferson... Throw in Weezy and you got a deal.
  20. Marvin Williams is a "bust" of Sam Bowie proportions... To not see this is to deny that the sky is above your head and the ground is below your feet.Billy Knight, who should seriously burn eternally, is the one to be hated here; but Marvin's ineptitude vs. Deron/CP3's Greatness is a glaring shiner on the face of this franchise.Marvin Williams could be defined as:- MAJOR Underachiever- Offensively Underachieving based on expectation- Average to Above Average on Defense- Below Average to Average as a rebounder; although at 6'9" I'd say it's closer to poor.- Below Average to Average 3pt. shooter- Awkward- Injury prone- Not useful in ANY offensive set to date...- NOT Progressing as a player AT ALL...I'm sorry man, he's garbage. He's stealing money at this point.
  21. Fingers crossed for a top-5 then!!!...And with the #1 pick Devon's super squad does NOT select LeBron James.
  22. Can we lottery for selections instead of order of signup? I'd gladly host a "live stream" of the lottery process so everyone would know it wasn't rigged.
  23. I'm in to GM a squad....
  24. Fab Melo is the only one I'd really want and that is at our pick (#23).... Drummond is a talent but is mega-raw, I really just need the rebounding and defense aspect that I honestly believe Fab Melo could provide us with 2-3 seasons of PROPER COACHING and PLAYER DEVELOPMENT (neither of which this team has provided). I feel a big move coming but I honestly feel we're going to come away from draft night with a bad taste in our collective mouths'.
  25. The Youth Movement PG: Steph Curry, Darren Collison SG: Kevin Martin, Rudy Fernandez SF: Nic Batum, Shane Battier, Gordon Hayward PF: A'mare Stoudemire, David Lee, Boris Diaw C: DeAndre Jordan, Chris Kaman Coach: Scott Brooks - When it comes to scoring... we've got it. When it comes to defense... we've got it. Energy, Rebounding, Youthful exuberance, veteran leadership... we've got it. Curry and Martin give us deadeye shooters, with Collison and Fernandez providing depth off of the bench. Nic Batum gives us a defensive presence with massive wingspan to go along with A'mare and David Lee on the frontcourt. We'll start Jordan over Kaman at the 5 but they're obviously interchangeable. What we may lack in top-flight "name recognition" talent, we overflow in the "team/glue" stlye of player, and a HC in Scott Brooks that can get the best out of his youth. I see us as almost a San Antonio type of team...
