The Georgian National team outscored Ukraine 39-20 in the second half to score a 69-53 victory and evened their record at 2-2 in the 2011 Eurobasket Olympic Qualifying tournament. The second half run was fueled by turnovers by the Ukraine who committed 23 in the game.

Manuchar Markoishvili and George Tsintsadze led the way for Georgia with 14 points each. Tornike Shengelia added 12 points. Atlanta's Zaza Pachulia finished with six points and six rebounds.

Stiven Bertt and Oleksiy Pecherov led the Ukraine in scoring with 11 points each. Utah Jazz center Kyrylo Fesenko finished with seven points and four rebounds in 14 minutes of action. The Ukraine National team is coached by former NBA and Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Fratello.

The victory places Georgia in good position to advance as each of the top three finishers in Group D will move on the second round of the tournament. Ukraine drops to 1-3 in the tournament while Bulgaria at 1-2 faces off against undefeated Russia later today. Georgia's final game of the preliminary round is tomorrow morning against Bulgaria.
