The Atlanta Business chronicle is reporting that the Atlanta Hawks will open their 2011-12 regular season with a back-to-back starting on December 27 in New Jersey. The Hawks would open the home part of their schedule the next night against the Milwaukee Bucks

The Atlanta Hawks are scheduled to play their first game Dec. 27 in New Jersey. The first home game is Dec. 28 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

No official announcement from the league yet so take this at face value for now. Howard Beck of the New York Times outlined the schedule details yesterday saying that all teams would play at least one set of back-to-back-to-back games and no more than three. There is no word on how many sets of back-to-back games the new schedule will include.
