  1. http://nbatattoos.tumblr.com/post/49239644282/2012-13-nba-tattoo-statistics Who needs an NBA title anyways?
  2. Jewish HS basketball coach as of a few days ago to NBA head coach is a hell of a jump!
  3. Bill Simmons: https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/status/330696603188998144
  4. It should be noted that this award is given to Josh purely from a Fantasy Basketball perspective.
  5. We currently own the tiebreaker with Indiana (up 2-1 in season series), but NOT with the Knicks (0-1 in the season series). We play both again this season (including the Knicks twice) which should be huge games and the difference between whether we are a 2-3 seed or 6-7 seed. Playoff Seeding Tiebreakers: Two-Team Tiebreaker: [*]Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division) [*]Better record in head-to-head games [*]Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division) [*]Higher winning percentage in conference games [*]Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference (including tied teams) [*]Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference (including tied teams)
  6. He played easily the best game of his career last night - beautiful shooting in the first half (finished with 3 3's), and playing phenomenal defense on Kobe in the second half, too. Wasn't the knock on him after we drafted him his perimeter defense? You certainly couldn't tell from last night - it looks like even LD's faith in him is starting to grow! BIG shoutout to Devin Harris, too - played like the seasoned veteran he is last night, hitting big shot after big shot last night after the Lakers came back and took the lead. Also correctly driving to the hole and drawing fouls once Dwight left the game with his fifth. GREAT team effort. Go Hawks!
  7. Yep, and he hit one tonight. It's at 57 games now!
  8. Bob and Nique have been peppering references to us leading the NBA in something like percentage of FG's assisted. I tried digging it up, but didn't have any luck - does anybody know what the exact stat is and what the percentage is? Regardless of the specifics, it really speaks to the chemistry this group of guys has developed with the departure of iso-Joe - it seems like there are at least 3-4 passes on every half-court possession, and plenty of drive-and-kicks by Teague/Harris and even Al/Smoove. This product is WAY funner to watch than last year's and has me more excited about the playoffs than in recent years, too!
  9. I believe he declined so he could spend the break with his wife and newborn baby.
  10. Yep, I was in homie helping mode too.. Living in Nashville sucks as a Hawks fan because I'm close enough that I'm blacked out of games on League Pass but close enough to Memphis that they show Grizz games instead. I've watched way too many crappy Hawks feeds on the internet in the past couple of years.
  11. Not sure if it's on TV in Atlanta, but for anyone that can't watch it on TV: http://atdhenet.tv/52476/watch-atlanta-hawks-vs-san-antonio-spurs
  12. What? Pau is one of only a handful of people in the NBA you can say is a consummate professional - this is despite having nearly been traded twice, playing next to the biggest headcase in the NBA (Bynum) and getting blamed by Kobe anytime anything goes wrong.
  13. By the way, to clarify, this isn't the media voting for these teams. The voting for this is ALL coaches - the very same coaches that snubbed Josh from the All-star team.
  14. Interesting article/interview with Fratello, JVG and Hubie:http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2012/05/dalessandro_jeff_van_gundy_hub.htmlFirst question right off the bat is about the Hawks, too.
  15. Haha so gloomy.. We Hawks fans sure are a tortured bunch. For my part, I will just be watching - Game 1 (in person) and Game 5, our only two wins were the only games I got to watch in full and didn't have to follow on my phone. You can bet my ass will be camped in front of my TV tonight!
  16. Per Michael Cunningham, Hawks lose coin flip (of course) to Clippers, and will get the #23 pick.
  17. Vegas opens Hawks as 3 point favorites for Sunday's game..
  18. That's a good thing! It seems so long ago now that lottery night and draft night used to be the two most important dates for Hawks fans.
  19. 1 more significant one that comes to mind:@Denver - In control late into the 4th.. Denver storms back to force OT - missed Zaza layup at the buzzer, lose by 1.Aside from a few games, the team has shown some definite fight and heart - like winning the second and third of a back-to-back-to-back after the first was a triple OT loss to the Heat. Or winning in QUADRUPLE overtime to cap off a perfect back-to-back-to-back. Proud of our guys that we're in this position!
  20. Yikes - I hope this doesn't translate to the playoffs. You certainly can't put yourself in such a hole that you have to rely on outplaying your opponent by such a wide margin in the 4th. Especially against good defenses.
  21. Wow - just verified this. I did NOT know that!
  22. At the same time, look at Orlando's remaining schedule:@Utah@Denvervs Cha@MemIt's important to note that we DO own the tiebreaker with Orlando on H2H meetings, so they have to gain 2 games on us with 4 games remaining for both teams.
  23. Boston actually clinched the Atlantic last night, and so they are locked in to that 4 seed.Barring a meltdown by the Pacers, we are pretty much locked in to the 5 seed and will be playing the Celtics.
  24. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/video-jeff-teague-dunks-over-celtics-kevin-garnett-190030752.html#more-id Kevin Garnett's kind of an *ss.. not that Jeff Teague did much to prove himself on the last shot!
